Not everyone has the same job opportunities you do. Employers stereotype, just like you have done right here - and don't want to hire people with mental (dis)abilities or illnesses. He may pick up cans all the time, but that is actually a lot of money because no one can take care of their cans so they just throw them wherever. I don't know how many times or if you have even ever talked to Jerry; but he is not a bum. so dont judge.
