  • Happy New Year to all Ethiopians!

Just attended coffee ceremony in one of my friends' house(she's an Ethiopian). We roasted and, then, ground the coffee beans. Finally, the ground coffee was boiled and let the coffee powder settled before we it was served. It tastes really good and yummy without any milk or creamer. I wish I had a bigger cup heheheh

  • Widows perefect,,,,your apologies accepeted...I am sorry If i ofennded you....just I didnt like you comapring such an importanat cultural ceremony as `ghetto`

By the way Have you heared about japanese tea ceremony.....it takes more time Than our cofee ceremony. it is a slow process....and they are proud of it.....as much civilized they are they dont think it is backwardness.

Any way my appologies and have fun!

  • i also accept your apologie :) and you didnt offend me. you know whats funny? i apologize and someone named Makhate writes a comment saying the exact same thing as what you said kinda. im friends with you now :) im sending a request :) lol

  • In the age when people are tracking back to the `anceint` syphon cofffe maker which by the way is the best coffee maker that gives you a cup of coffe that tastes close to Ethiopian `Abol` coffee you could find in Ethiopia made by balemuya yeset Kuncho set -weyzero" and you are complining about time wasted in the making process.

I am not surprised. You must have ben socializing with the `geltu set eizeros` all your life.

    Shame on you!

  • who said i was complaining?

and i dont know what geltu set eizeros means btw.

  • well....read it as `geltu set weizero`.

Geltu means a woman who doesnt know how to do PROPER cooking.

and do I have also to teach you what `set weizero` means?

by the way there is a lot poetry in the way yeset kunch set weizero pesents the cofee ceremony back home>>>the art of grinding the cofee to the proper texture with the stick and the way she handles even the fan>>>

but never mind>>since you are the geltus freind you are not capable to understand that.

    dikam eko new!

  • im asuming that is Amharic or Oromo?

and i wouldnt know that since its not my lanuguage, thank you very much :)

and i dont know why you are hating on me. all i said was that people here would think that the way habisha people make there coffee here would be ghetto. If i said it in a way that i was Speaking about Ethipoian people in general, my apologizes because it wasnt ment to be in that particular way.

and didnt i say i love it? You act like im not also proud to be a habisha...

  • oh, and i also love how you dedicate your time by insulting me on one meezly comment i made.

there's honestly no reason for that, but since you feel like it... by all means, be my guest. i can go on for years if you like :D

  • that was pretty ignorant of you. thats the technology back there, theyre not spoiled with electricity over there like we are over here...and you should be ashamed, especially if your habesha

  • i love how people take things on the internet so damn seriously. do i need to break down what i said? i call everything ghetto ok?! and i dont mean ghetto as its definition of "the projects" also if thats what you are thinking. and DUHH, i know how it is! i just came back from Eritrea and they still use it the way they did back in the day. im not gonna waist my time with someone who wants to "Make Hate" like your username states. SAD... makes people think something else :(...

  • and im not ashamed. i am Very proud of being a habisha. i can just be sarcastic at times. maybe its just because you wanted to be heared. lol
