I wonder if there are any other PBS promos like this from this period. The promo music sounded vaguely familiar to me. A faint memory I have is that the PBS abstract-cut letter logo would appear in the bottom right hand corner during the closing of each promo spot.
Yes, it looks like they didn't have all of their video sources genlocked (synchronized) properly (or at all), hence the glitches when switching to and from their video sources. But then again, broadcast video technology back then was a bit less advanced than it is today... ;)

You've got to love all of the tracking interference when they switch from PBS promos to local station stuff and then back to PBS tapes.
