@KripDrip if they have no DEMAND than a few extra tax dollars will not create a job if there is no demand. My boss said "why would I hire someone if i have no demand or work for them to do? just cause i get a tax cut dose not mean i have more work for people to do" this is from a conservative guy saying this I am a Liberal and I agree with him 100% u cant refute that fact
@calimar28 ok, you take the 1st job than i will, and also tell me how do we keep the economy moving at that wage? bucause business WILL NOT drop prices that low to accommodate such low wage. and if i cant buy enough gas to get to work and nothing else than its no diffrent than not having a job.
@kruknate You'll get used to it. It's going to happen, nothing can be done about it. Otherwise the companies will all move to China.
- We have had it too good, for too long. Mabye if the liberals didnt take such advantage of the business when things were good, by taxing at 77%, and 94%, and 39% and other silliness, and by creating useless departments like Education, Energy, HUD and so on, then business owners would be willing ti sit down and talk. But you liberals were greedy.
@calimar28 As long as you are willing to take a job that low paying to, than we will see Re to taxes if they have no DEMAND than a few extra tax dollars will not create a job if there is no demand. My boss said "why would I hire someone if i have no demand or work for them to do? just cause i get a tax cut dose not mean i have more work for people to do" this is from a conservative guy saying this I am a Liberal and I agree with him 100% u cant refute that fact
@calimar28 no F that this is America u want low wage no regulation go to communist china, its funny you cons scream that regulation is communism all the time yet a communist country like china has no regulation, you wont take a 2hr ob so y push it on others? when we taxed at 38% 50% 90% jobs stayed here cause the money was invested in this country, we had tarrifs that kept cheap forign crap from coming in here cause of heavy taxation. you cant have high consumption on low wages its impossible
@calimar28how am I PERSONALLY sending jobs overseas? but ok repeal NAFTA set tarrifs on imports take away tax breaks from companies that send jobs overseas, what would you do to keep jobs here? i hope u are willing to take 2 bucks an hr as well
I was taught to shoot at the age of 12.The man who taught me was an extrordinary human being. He learned to master his shooting skills in the seige of Bastone (the battle of the Bulge),He lost most of his left arm saving his squad from a grenade,He shot better with one arm than 99% of shooters with both arms. He wanted to be sure we could defend this country when the chips were down. He was also the father of 9 children and would have been appalled at guns in school and the stupidity of it.
There is a more efficient work force than Chinese: machines. 75% of jobs on this planet could be replaced by mechanization, resulting in more production but less salary. People would have less money to spend, but at the same time the prices would deflate from abundance. Is more human jobs necessarily a good thing?
"After evaluating our overseas production costs we have decided to return to stateside manufacturing, creating jobs for thousands of American.... robots."
Whether you raise taxes or cut taxes, corps will somehow outsource some aspect of their jobs to overseas. We live in high tech society with more global competition. Company that has less demand in Europe or US has more demand in country like China or India. It's absurd to have a thinking that somehow you will save jobs by cutting taxes. Look at Germany, they kept best jobs for their citizens while also outsourcing around the world. US can also come up with similar idea like them or better.
Good comments, you are right on the ball regarding money and the corruption of politics. The American political system is broken and needs major changes to allow people to vote with their head, and not all the brain washing that goes on by corporations.
Technological unemployment is only going to get worse. Trying to create "jobs" is not going to move us forward. There is a direct conflict between the current system that we live in and technology. As technology improves, jobs disappear. The prolonging of this system has nothing to do with hard work and perseverance it has everything to do with leaching off original Human ingenuity and the technological feats we have made.
@Skylarmancer I hear that and have been entertaining the thought that the requirement for every single American to have a full-time job is anachronistic in today's society. We have the technology to provide a good way of living for everyone, but we are bad at leveraging it correctly.
It's funny how he says cutting corporate taxes won't do anything because the jobs will go over seas, when it's because of the high taxes that he supports that jobs go over seas in the first place. That's provable with little objective research. Can you TYT fans not see this is a flawed argument? He makes it sound like corporations hire people abroad out of spite. He's appealing to your EMOTIONS not your logic. Please think critically. Research austrian economics for counter arguments to this.
@nagol1000 It's not flawed. They numbers prove it. When the corporations have to invest money to make more money, that's what they do. Tax INCREASES create jobs.
@Numbuh7 No they don't! The numbers don't prove anything, other then the USA had a industrial monopoly after WW2, was the worlds reserve, was the worlds largest oil producer and had a population boom. Once those advantages dried up it took tax cuts in the 60s for growth.
So I suppose the numbers from say Sweeden and Canada are bunk because they show the largest growth peroids were and are in low tax eras.
You progressives are obsessed with a time in American you don't understand fully.
@IkillNRapecommunists. Raising corporate taxes isn't going to do anything. Many corporations evade taxes and pretty much pay no taxes.
So the point is to stop worshiping them as some sort of demi gods that creates jobs. I hope more companies outsource their jobs to other countries. At least they will do a good turn in helping reduce poverty.
@aswanus909 "Raising corporate taxes isn't going to do anything. Many corporations evade taxes and pretty much pay no taxes." If that's true, what's the point of raising them? To make tax lawyers work a little more?
Yeah...No. I don't worship the government because the government is supposed to work for me.
I am a supporter of free market and enterprise because my birth country India benefited from economic liberalisation from the 1990's.
I come from a culture where academic success is prized and cherished. Where parents starve to send their children to school so that they can become doctors, lawyers and businessmen. My father also taught me to look out for the poor.
I don't hate people who are successful. I hope to one day go back to India and make life a bit easier. I want to be successful, I also hope that I can help people too.
I believe that free enterprise is a great tool for emancipation. A woman in a third world nation setting up a business is great. It is a great tool to achieve security and freedom IMO. But I do not worship people who mask their greed in ideology.
@IKiLLNRapeCOMMUNISTS Apple will NEVER, I repeat, NEVER bring it's assembly line 2 the United States. First of all, it's a working, highly efficient setup that produces millions of units in a matter of months. More importantly, Foxconn workers only get $290 per month and get no benefits. That's part of the cost of our electronics. It takes more than the $326.60 it takes Apple 2 produce an iPad 2, only u don't pay it. The worker does by paying 4 health problems from using cheap, unsafe chemicals.
@IKiLLNRapeCOMMUNISTS The United States is no longer a nation of manual labor. If laborers in China, India, etc. will work for a month for the same amount of money as 3 days of minimum wage in the US those jobs will be sent overseas no matter what kind of tax breaks we give these corporations.
@flintr94 I don't think he was talking about labor so much as merchandise. And if you tax Apple for using Chinese labor, it WILL raise the price of iPads. And the same goes for any other product you want to do this to.
As an Indian born immigrant is it bad that I actually want my countrymen to get jobs? Apart from the slavish working conditions, they also want to work hard for a living
The ones who profit from corporations outsourcing jobs the most are the people in the US, who get their products for considerably lower prices and are able to pay their workers extremely well. Even though it may cost jobs, it increases the overall standard of living and helps the economy in the US.
Certainly, corporations are only interested in making profits, but in this case, the people of the US don't actually lose out, because economics isn't simply all about jobs.
@AlexanderReiswich So it increases our standard of living buying cheap crap that you have to replace every couple of years because they are so poorly made? Buy a dishwasher or clothes dryer and you're lucky to get 3 years out of them. Plasma TV gives you trouble after the warranty runs out? You can't get it fixed, throw it away and get a new one. You get what you pay for. Cheap shit that looks good in the package. We wind up spending more replacing cheap junk.
@peng1965a Just a note, that's why you don't get plasma TVs. Entirely in CONCEPT they're pieces of junk compared to LCD or LED because they run hot, which damages the TV.
LCD is pretty much the same price as plasma now anyway and doesn't commit suicide.
Could it be that the tax cuts actually SAVED more jobs from going overseas. 2.9 million US jobs cut in 10 years, but maybe it would have been 5 million in 10 years if we do not cut corporate taxes. Get rid of the unions and THEN we can talk. Get rid of high waged unskilled labor and THEN we will talk. Go back to an upper, middle and LOWER class of work and THEN we will talk.
@KiheiLawyer I know I know you hate unions because they're the only thing that can keep the owners from working us to death like the chinese (35 hr workday for 15 cents an hour with few breaks and inadequate protective gear working with hazardous materials) or massey miners (makes desperate miners literally sign away their lives and right to sue so they can work in his deathtraps that have hundreds of safety violations)
Unions protect the working man from managerial scum
@dffykvn NO, the laws create minimum wages, work hours, protective gear, etc. We needed unions prior to WWII. The unions are to blame for over paid unskilled labor that then forces companies to find cheaper labor overseas. If you union people would not have forced pensions and high wages for turning a screw driver, you and your kids would still have jobs.Sure, some people might make $7/hr in a shop where a skilled person makes $30 (yes, paid for for skill creates incentive to do better)
@KiheiLawyer "forces companies to find cheap labor overseas"?
Are you retarded?
Do you think a company has to be FORCED to hire someone at 14 cents an hour?
Do you think they're saying "well if we could hire americans for 5 dollars an hour wed do it, but since we have a minimum wage we are forced, forced FORCED I SAY! to hire people for 14 cents an hour!"
You're either naive, delusional, perfectly indoctrinated into the randian cult or you actually know better but won't admit it
By overpaid workers I'm certain you mean "workers making more than a quarter for an hours work"
Corps know that they can get away with hiring people for slavelabor wages overseas so why would they hire americans to do the jobs?
The only way they'd hire americans is if americans would work for 14 cents an hour and allowed the managerial class to treat them as if their lives were worthless
In foxconn their idea of a collective protest was threatening a mass suicide in exchange for a few TINY improvements
It's the goal of scum like you to make the american working man that desperate that they'll work as slaves for starvation wages without any protection so you assholes can save a few bucks
@dffykvn RAMEN!! thumbs up totally man. Why can't the politicians be willing to just listen to level minded folks such as yourself??....and i have to hear them go on about how religious they are and all this so called "Cristian" nation crap. What happen with avoiding greed and corruption???...Do they think their fat asses are gonna go through the eye of a needle anytime soon? i don't get it. }:(
@1980albatros It's easier to call for the deaths of gays like the christian taliban than do that whole "giving away all of your worldly possessions to the needy, if you see someone without a shirt give him yours, if you see someone that's hungry give him your food" socialist stuff.
@1980albatros Well technically I'm an atheist, but if the jesus character started preaching today he'd be considered a long haired commie for saying that if you're rich and don't help every hungry/homeless person you come across then you won't go to heaven
The real issue is that a Chinese factory slave makes ~ $0.14 an hour. Apple "Geniuses" here make AT LEAST $7.15 an hour (or something like that. most make more). In order to get the jobs, the savings in taxes here would have to outweigh that gap in labor costs. Giving companies a 5% tax cut isn't going to work. This is a problem of inflation. Pure and simple. You don't fix inflation by adjusting the tax code up or down.
@hallavast Yea, let's make people work 14 cents an hour with a 35 hour workday with no environmental or workplace protections other than suicide netting
Those are the conditions of the people that manufacture ipods, iphones etc at apples foxconn factory cities in china
Work 35 hrs a day with few breaks, work with hazardous chemicals without adequate protection, no worker protection law and no consideration for the workers other than suicide netting and a working contract that says that your family could be sued if the working conditions drive you to suicide on their property
Thats the libertardian no unions worker protection utopia
@dffykvn how can that be a libertarian utopia if those factory workers are completely under the heel of the oppressive Chinese government? You're pointing to China and criticizing them for being too right wing? ROFL.
@dffykvn That market is far from free, and it's the rules of that government that keep people enslaved. Rules like: you are jailed if you try to form a union. Then there's the fact that most factory owners/managers are former government employees that know how to pull strings. No environmental protection, because if your neighbor pollutes your property, you can't sue them. Because the property isn't really yours, it belongs to the government. The government also has total control of education.
@hallavast I thought unions were evil socialist parasites that hold back free market innovation (Or whatever paultards/randroids/norquist trolls believe)
@dffykvn Unions are not socialist by default. Using government to force people to join and fund unions who use their money to elect corrupt politicians is immoral. If unions brought something to the table (like trained, skilled, and motivated members), they wouldn't have to force people to join and fund them. Instead, they use that money and resources to buy political favors.
@dffykvn All a union is, by definition, is a group of workers organizing for a common goal. This is imperative for free markets, but the unions have used government to gain too much power in this country. They can now create union quotas for employers, force membership and dues, and promote lazy, inefficient union labor.
@hallavast Hold your horses there mister. Lazy inefficient union workers create jobs. Especially when it takes two or three of them to do the work of one man. Those couple of extra people can then take their paychecks and go shopping, and contribute to the economy. From now on union workers should be referred to as job creators. I'd buy products made by job creators before I'd buy anything made by a robot.
@dffykvn You should ask yourself WHY these people would want to work under such conditions.
The answer is simple: because their alternatives are far worse.
If these people want to work for corporations from other countries rather than their own companies, it means that this is the preferable option for them.
In other words - and I hate to say it - but it means that US corporations treat them better than their own government or their own businesses.
@dffykvn I'm telling you that you're shooting at the wrong target. Crappy as they may be, US corporations give overseas workers oppurtunities. As you said, it's better than starving to death.
Their governments are the ones who truly exploit and suppress the people. Corporations have no weapons, soldiers or law-making abilities. Governments do.
Blaming apple is easy, but criticizing the chinese government? Too much trouble, eh.
@AlexanderReiswich What world are you living in where you think corporations don't make laws? Corporations have a huge influence on legislation in the US. They don't need their own guns when they can buy out politicians to do their bidding for them.
@AlexanderReiswich You are trying to change the subject into blaming the Chinese for USA's problem. Very smothly done BTW. Corporations buy up politicians so they don't need weapons nor soldiers.
You are worse, you are trying to redirect the target to else where, blame USA's problem on someone else, leave the corporations alone. That is how I see your post.
Governments in the third world are partly responsible, but the major actor here is the active party which actually comes to Country X and doesn't do shit in reality.
The reason they come to Country X is because they CAN CONTINUE TO OPPRESS, duuh.
.
Speaks for itself, when you beat down a handicapped person, do you then blame the handicapped person for not defending himself?
No, you are active party here. You took your time to get up to him hit him.
@AlexanderReiswich The corps set-up in such countries because of the lax/non-existent labour laws which means they can make a bit more profit, so it's not as if they're doing it for humanitarian reasons.
Also, the presence of the companies in such oppressive places will only give more power to those governments with added revenue from taxes and legitimacy by association (making them more attractive to other MNCs), resulting in the same regime with more money.
"The corps set-up in such countries because of the lax/non-existent labour laws which means they can make a bit more profit, so it's not as if they're doing it for humanitarian reasons."
why should corporations act in humanitarian ways? when it comes to corporations having right to make political contributions, far left morons scream that corporations are NOT people, so why should non humans act in humanitarian ways? why should they be blamed for anything?
@AlexanderReiswich who tells the government's what to do? its certainly not the people. plus it was mostly money from big corporations that paid for your leaders election costs.
TYT makes Apple sound evil. The reality is Americans don't buy iphones to increase American jobs. They buy them because they're nice to have. That's the deal. Apple gives you an iphone, and you give Apple money. That's the end of the contract. There's nothing sinister about it.
@hallavast You clearly didn't listen to the video for the entirety. Cenk isn't saying apple are evil, he is merely pointing out that we don't need to give them any more tax cuts
@mbadiou Clearly. At about 3:25 Cenk says "... cause you're a goddamn sucker. And that's how they treat us..." That's at the end of the video. I watched the whole thing before I said anything. Admittedly, Cenk is saying Obama is the sucker, and I misinterpreted as him saying the consumer is the sucker because he said "we". Cenk also said he has nothing against Apple. So, I retract the first sentence. The rest of it remains true and relevant in the face of the people here saying Apple is evil.
TYT is just making a point that Apple has no incentive to increase jobs in the US, there is a reason why over 90% of the jobs they have created are overseas, which is simply maximization of profit. The big corps don't care about the unemployment rate in the US even though they in my eyes the only thing that can fix the unemployment problem.
@TheNewSchoolGamer "there is a reason why over 90% of the jobs they have created are overseas, which is simply maximization of profit."
Yep. I made this point about an hour ago. Glad we're on the same page. The reason you refer to is the discrepancy in the cost of labor and of inflation. But without inflation, the American worker still has living conditions about 5 times better than a Chinese worker. Are average Americans 5 times more productive than average Chinese? Probably not.
When Palin becomes President, Palinomics will cut taxes across the whole board for everybody and everything. Palinomics will create more jobs in the Palination than there are unemployed people to fill them.
@blechtic I think its to stop a snowballing effet since people are more likely to like a top comment, the ones lcky enough to get there early will stay there forever
I think corporations should only get tax cuts, if they hire strictly in the United States, if they want to export the product after manufacture then fine. I also think that US Companies should pay high import costs for any product they import to sell to US consumers.
@KingMKLA High import cost? Yeah, then Japan, China, Germany and the rest of the world do the same thing to retaliate. Now our export decline and lose more jobs. GM, Ford, Apple, Caterpillar, and American Steel just lost some of their biggest customers.
@majingwei Those are also some of the biggest job exporters. GM and Ford buy most of their materials from out of country, Ford buying most of their parts from Mexico and South America, Apple hire 60% of it's employees in China and Japan Caterpillar is about the same as Ford, and American Steele brings in their Iron Ore from all over the world. If we were to use American goods in America and Hire Americans in the Jobs then the economy will experience a boom.
Forget tax breaks/subsidies to corporations. Increase/reinstate import tariffs. That's how we used to do it. Some people call it "protectionism," but I see nothing wrong with protecting our economy.
@YY4Me133 Protectionism, like most words, has been perverted in its connotation. It's not protectionist to impose reasonable tariffs. We have virtually no tariffs in comparison to the rest of the world. We're buttfucking ourselves.
@smithjohnson112 Well said. I've been trying to deliver the same message. I've come to a conclusion, that there are a whole lot of fucking ignorant, retards in this country with extremely short memories.
@OtakuRebel Before the 2010 elections, I believe there was a bill introduced to tie tax cuts to amount of American workers hired. Guess which party conspired to kill it?
@davidi3002 You could also raise the rate by a % based on what % of their employees aren't paid enough to stay off welfare and food stamps. These social programs are massively strained because the market is refusing to adequately provide a decent pay, even to a large number of full time employees.
You mention a company that moves jobs overseas - what of the companies that can't move jobs overseas?
I think we should enjoy the low prices while we can. Focus on other areas where we can create jobs. The fact is, just like our QE currency manipulation tricks, China can't keep it up forever. They are competing now, but it will become unsustainable and they will have a correction - either their currncy will collapse, or they will have high rates of deflation.
Jewish bankers are robbing our country. The police are bribed to do their dirty work. Only the military can prevent the Jews from destroying our beloved country & people. Please come out & help us.
@theasassinator Not really much a difference, last year Microsoft added 15,000 job in the U.S while only 13,000 overseas. It shows a general trend as different as you think it is.
@AFCoulthard To be honest from a business standpoint, it makes more sense economically to have factories in China where it's a lot cheaper than America
@TheYoungTurks wow, I didn't even know that dark secret about apple and I take every chance to make fun of that company. However in all honesty, I was just joking but this is an actual reason of why not to like apple, nehy the government for not doing it's job. :0
Cenk and his TYT still believe in some kind of social capitalism. They don't oppose the rule of the free market. They are like the Scandinavian social democrats, supporters of a social market economy. Unfortunately capitalism does not like taxes and social spending. That is why they fled to China and India. Capitalism is inhuman, undemocratic and anti-worker. Their only care is profits and money. Such a system cannot be reformed, it must be destroyed.
This system the Democrats try is neoliberalism. Tax cuts for big money and huge cuts on social spending. It is named neoliberalism, new liberalism. It is a very anti-worker, pro-capitalist ideology and all about the rule of big money. That is why Democrats are no alternative to the Republicans. Democrats are neoliberals and support the dictatorship of the free market. Workers of America, Europe and the world should stop voting for liberals, because they only are about ''business freedom''
''If they wanna do business in China thats fine'' oh im sorry EXPLOITING the 3rd world labor for profit is now ''business'' get out of here with that Cent.
Hey reich wingers, when you all said Americans were stupid for not wanting to give the rich tax cuts because the rich create jobs, I guess you and your failstreet were lying.
Reich wingers are the greatest threat to America and Americans, they claim to be the capitalist but they all believe in their fuhrer's commie fascism.
@revron77 You just failed on level I can't describe, you're fail start in left field then made its way to a fifty yard line, and then ended up at a concertina.
Now that you have project your hurt feeling, get some counciling, learn to admit you haven't a clue of what you are doing, and take your sugar coated shit back to fox.
Good for you...... and while your at it. Why don't you get some help from a speech therapist.... you might need it if you want to learn how to form a sentence without resorting to using random wording to appear intelligent... which you gracefully failed at.
I mean you started with dognit and then did a liberal backyard and ended up in a house. Now that you have projectED your hurt feelings.. I'm going to give you advise on a subject I've never studied...
@revron77 Aw reich winger, you don't need to spaz. Maybe you should take you own advise, but I will advise you to seek an grammar teacher, because speech is useless if your writing and not speaking.
You are honestly a moron.... you speak random shit because you cannot form a real reply.. then talk about a subject your not educated in... then when all that fails... just jump to conclusions.
If they don't agree with you.. they must be working for the enemy eh?
@iippo06 Not even close. I'll help you out, first what is it? Communism-a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
What is the reich wing? Exclusive control by one group of the means of a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
@iippo06 Fascism-advocates the creation of a totalitarian single-party state that seeks the mass mobilization of a nation through indoctrination of religious and racial preferance, and economic policey.
Again what is the reich wing? OH thats right the same thing as fascism and communism.
@pistolpete1st You should probably stop watching FoX news and read the communist manifesto Communism advocates a Commune NOT A government a form of Democracy by the people as seen in the Paris Commune just because dictators in the past have been hiding behind the red flag doesnt change the ideas of a Commune.
@pistolpete1st Well you are a right-winger in the since of you don't accepts facts and reality but you distort them for your own advantage exactly what FoX news does.
@iippo06 I can't believe you looked it up, I honestly thought you caught on. So just to humor, here is the definition of communism. Communism-a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
If you were to ask what those key words were as they are seperately you will always find your way back to the right wing
@iippo06 The manifesto is one person's opinion on communism, the definition I gave you is what communism is. Look it up, if you don't get the same definition you will get a simular one.
Google, wiki, a dictionary, or do what I did a government or history teacher to define it.
@pistolpete1st That is what i wanted you to say yes it's a different interpretation there are many interpretations of it even among Communists (since there are many different types of Communism) Marxism-Leninism Anarcho-Communism and so on.
I honestly believe that not just corporations but all businesses should be given cuts...
Tax is a burden on people and removing such a thing can mean that the pressures of paying bills and hiring employees becomes lessened.
I mean its like just think about you running a game store.. you make 6,000 a week in profit... but the government takes 1,000... well that means that you have less money to spend on development and less money on getting more staff...
cenk for president

Screw those dirty foreigners, Americans are the only ones who should have jobs.
Especially since the people in those countries where outsourcing happens have a lot to fall back on when they don't have a job, and Americans don't.

There is a more efficient work force than Chinese: machines. 75% of jobs on this planet could be replaced by mechanization, resulting in more production but less salary. People would have less money to spend, but at the same time the prices would deflate from abundance. Is more human jobs necessarily a good thing?

Whether you raise taxes or cut taxes, corps will somehow outsource some aspect of their jobs to overseas. We live in high tech society with more global competition. Company that has less demand in Europe or US has more demand in country like China or India. It's absurd to have a thinking that somehow you will save jobs by cutting taxes. Look at Germany, they kept best jobs for their citizens while also outsourcing around the world. US can also come up with similar idea like them or better.

Skylarmancer 3 weeks ago

Numbuh7 3 weeks ago
@Numbuh7 No they don't! The numbers don't prove anything, other then the USA had a industrial monopoly after WW2, was the worlds reserve, was the worlds largest oil producer and had a population boom. Once those advantages dried up it took tax cuts in the 60s for growth.
So I suppose the numbers from say Sweeden and Canada are bunk because they show the largest growth peroids were and are in low tax eras.
You progressives are obsessed with a time in American you don't understand fully.

Unions protect the working man from managerial scum
dffykvn 3 weeks ago 14
@dffykvn NO, the laws create minimum wages, work hours, protective gear, etc. We needed unions prior to WWII. The unions are to blame for over paid unskilled labor that then forces companies to find cheaper labor overseas. If you union people would not have forced pensions and high wages for turning a screw driver, you and your kids would still have jobs.Sure, some people might make $7/hr in a shop where a skilled person makes $30 (yes, paid for for skill creates incentive to do better)

@dffykvn MOST DEFINITELY! glad to hear another fellow atheist out there with their finger on the pulse of the real issue. Cheers }:)
1980albatros 3 weeks ago
The real issue is that a Chinese factory slave makes ~ $0.14 an hour. Apple "Geniuses" here make AT LEAST $7.15 an hour (or something like that. most make more). In order to get the jobs, the savings in taxes here would have to outweigh that gap in labor costs. Giving companies a 5% tax cut isn't going to work. This is a problem of inflation. Pure and simple. You don't fix inflation by adjusting the tax code up or down.
hallavast 3 weeks ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@hallavast Yea, let's make people work 14 cents an hour with a 35 hour workday with no environmental or workplace protections other than suicide netting

Thats the libertardian no unions worker protection utopia
dffykvn 3 weeks ago
@dffykvn how can that be a libertarian utopia if those factory workers are completely under the heel of the oppressive Chinese government? You're pointing to China and criticizing them for being too right wing? ROFL.
hallavast 3 weeks ago
@hallavast Right wing no rules capitalism yes
No socialist environmental protection, worker protection or unions
It's a free market for labor
The overall market might not be free, but for labor and factory standards it is
dffykvn 3 weeks ago
@dffykvn That market is far from free, and it's the rules of that government that keep people enslaved. Rules like: you are jailed if you try to form a union. Then there's the fact that most factory owners/managers are former government employees that know how to pull strings. No environmental protection, because if your neighbor pollutes your property, you can't sue them. Because the property isn't really yours, it belongs to the government. The government also has total control of education.
hallavast 3 weeks ago
@hallavast I thought unions were evil socialist parasites that hold back free market innovation (Or whatever paultards/randroids/norquist trolls believe)
dffykvn 3 weeks ago
@dffykvn Unions are not socialist by default. Using government to force people to join and fund unions who use their money to elect corrupt politicians is immoral. If unions brought something to the table (like trained, skilled, and motivated members), they wouldn't have to force people to join and fund them. Instead, they use that money and resources to buy political favors.
hallavast 3 weeks ago
@dffykvn All a union is, by definition, is a group of workers organizing for a common goal. This is imperative for free markets, but the unions have used government to gain too much power in this country. They can now create union quotas for employers, force membership and dues, and promote lazy, inefficient union labor.
hallavast 3 weeks ago
@hallavast Hold your horses there mister. Lazy inefficient union workers create jobs. Especially when it takes two or three of them to do the work of one man. Those couple of extra people can then take their paychecks and go shopping, and contribute to the economy. From now on union workers should be referred to as job creators. I'd buy products made by job creators before I'd buy anything made by a robot.

hallavast 3 weeks ago
@dffykvn You should ask yourself WHY these people would want to work under such conditions.
The answer is simple: because their alternatives are far worse.
If these people want to work for corporations from other countries rather than their own companies, it means that this is the preferable option for them.
In other words - and I hate to say it - but it means that US corporations treat them better than their own government or their own businesses.

hallavast 3 weeks ago

@AlexanderReiswich The corps set-up in such countries because of the lax/non-existent labour laws which means they can make a bit more profit, so it's not as if they're doing it for humanitarian reasons.
Also, the presence of the companies in such oppressive places will only give more power to those governments with added revenue from taxes and legitimacy by association (making them more attractive to other MNCs), resulting in the same regime with more money.
So why can't we criticise both?

The technology in macbook's & iMac are ANCIENT put in a fancy box, Apple was YEARS behind microsoft when it came to the invention of a tablet.
Apple is nothing BUT censorship.
iPad? Can't choose what you install.
iPod? All files converted so you can't retrieve them as mp3 from the player.
I have had apple products and NON of them have met my needs.

End the reich wing to gain your freedom.

pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st
No not hurt feelings.
I just don't like when people try and match things together just to make them seem as worse as they are. When the match is stupid.
Its like calling liberals communists... its just fucking retarded
revron77 3 weeks ago
@revron77 Hurt feelings was dead on.
I don't like it when people try to down things just to make them seem not so bad.
Its like believe communism is a left wing practice....its just fucking retarded.

Look at your screen.... the look away and think topic... then turn back around and understand... this isn't a topic of ego...
revron77 3 weeks ago
@revron77 You just failed on level I can't describe, you're fail start in left field then made its way to a fifty yard line, and then ended up at a concertina.
Now that you have project your hurt feeling, get some counciling, learn to admit you haven't a clue of what you are doing, and take your sugar coated shit back to fox.

@pistolpete1st
I'm going to give you advise on a subject I've never studied...
revron77 3 weeks ago
@revron77 Aw reich winger, you don't need to spaz. Maybe you should take you own advise, but I will advise you to seek an grammar teacher, because speech is useless if your writing and not speaking.
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st
You are honestly a moron.... you speak random shit because you cannot form a real reply.. then talk about a subject your not educated in... then when all that fails... just jump to conclusions.
If they don't agree with you.. they must be working for the enemy eh?

@pistolpete1st Communism is the most left-wing thing just look at the Paris Commune.
iippo06 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 Not even close. I'll help you out, first what is it? Communism-a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
What is the reich wing? Exclusive control by one group of the means of a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 Fascism-advocates the creation of a totalitarian single-party state that seeks the mass mobilization of a nation through indoctrination of religious and racial preferance, and economic policey.
Again what is the reich wing? OH thats right the same thing as fascism and communism.
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st You should probably stop watching FoX news and read the communist manifesto Communism advocates a Commune NOT A government a form of Democracy by the people as seen in the Paris Commune just because dictators in the past have been hiding behind the red flag doesnt change the ideas of a Commune.
iippo06 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 Right I'm the one watching fox, given you just claim the left are communist.
Keep trying though, I hear they are hiring.
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st Well you are a right-winger in the since of you don't accepts facts and reality but you distort them for your own advantage exactly what FoX news does.
iippo06 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 Just keep projecting.
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st Could you give me the pages in the Communist manifesto that validates what you claimed?
iippo06 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 Sure its 23.
Now give me the page that says: " Communism, a left wing practice"
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st Page 23 is the analysis of Capitalism your funny =)
iippo06 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 I can't believe you looked it up, I honestly thought you caught on. So just to humor, here is the definition of communism. Communism-a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
If you were to ask what those key words were as they are seperately you will always find your way back to the right wing
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
@pistolpete1st No matter how many times you say it it doesn't become true and it still doesn't change anything that is in the Communist manifesto.
iippo06 3 weeks ago
@iippo06 The manifesto is one person's opinion on communism, the definition I gave you is what communism is. Look it up, if you don't get the same definition you will get a simular one.
Google, wiki, a dictionary, or do what I did a government or history teacher to define it.
pistolpete1st 3 weeks ago
