Great video and information Antonio. I am a mechanic by trade but have recently fallen into the world of business consulting. Being able to read people, pick up on body language naturally and basic common sense has taking me a long way but.... Having a lack of presentation skills and professional style will hurt me in the long run if I do not evolve. Thanks for the videos and remember, Marines will always be a branch of the Navy.
@codownni You practice - practice - practice. Even though you may deviate from the planned speech, your presentation will be solid as you'll have pieces to fall back on.
Hey Antonio. Loved the video but I have a question.
I'm currently studying education and I wonder about your comment that people shouldn't be able to tell what your presentation was about by reading your slides.
I agree about not reading off of your slides 100%, but if you're trying to teach (specifically, rather than a presentation in general) it seems that having more comprehensive and in depth slides would be beneficial.
@mebwire It really comes down to what do you want to accomplish. If the slides are for TEACHING and not PRESENTING - then yes, more info. If you are going to be presenting - the slides should only support - not overwelm as they often do. This is why I emphasize less words, more emphasis on you the presenter forming a connection with the audience.
Great advice. Thanks allot.

@DirtTone1 Best of luck - just improve your look one piece and outfit at a time. Focus on the basics of fit, fabric, and style.
And about that Navy remark, we are a department of the Navy. The men's department. :)

Great video, but what if you are publicly speaking without a pre written speech?.
