JewSA is finish now.Hitler warned the yankees about jews. The jewisg propagande told them it was fun; It was not. Now the jews are building concentrations camps for the Yankees if the oppose them, and will kill them as they did with 43 millions Christian Russina in the USSR.14!88!
The last IL-2 I played was Forgotten Battles, are there new ones? Does anyone still play? The original and FB where the best flight sims I've ever played.
@Airphel Yes, we are here still flying, IL-2 1946 version. Updates are available or game can you can find sim on ebay for about $15. Join HyperLobby to find were to fly.
@SuperNoname17 Same here. It is strange however, that so many aces seemed to have come from the 109. The Germans wasted to much time & money trying to develop too many different planes. The US Is kinda guilty of that too.
I like the part in the book where his plane's going down under a thunderbolt's guns and he starts to get out, but there's so much ammunition going by him that he has to get back in, to get behind the armor plate.
Its a sad statement when the things you find on youtube are both more accurate, and more interesting than the garbage being puked into theaters by Hollywood these days. Well sad for Hollywood, good for you. Thumbs up.
well ... i am impressed... get goosepimples while watching - this has nothing to do wiht glorifying nazis - this is what a young 22year man is doing when he is in the middle of this kind of action. we all can talk easy from our point of viewe...
I first read his book when I was ten years old in 1965...my bookreport horrified the nuns in Catholic school... reread the book in early 1993... called Heinz Knoke on the phone and was surprised to actually connect to him in Bad Iburg.. he said in perfect English " We were just boys doing our job " ...I sent him the Time-Life reprinted hardcover book and have it signed by him, Heinz Knoke ... he died two months later... his wife Lilo sold the house in Bad Iburg and moved in withone of her kids.
I hate to hear everyone crying about making this about a nazi,he was a soldier and thats that,I also think Stalin was 100 times worse then the nazi's.the biggest concentration camp during ww2 was in siberia and millons of people died there but i guess thats ok because he was a allie
I actually read that book... I liked the part where he gets shot down by a thunderbolt and he's bailing out but there're so many bullets going past, that he has to get back in! Right after the war, he can't believe the atrocities he's hearing about and lays the blame on 'a few bad men around Hitler'; thinks they should be turned over to the good German soldiers, lol. But later he accepts the truth and writes "We must take resposibility for the past- and the future."
...party had been forbidden in 1952 at german highest court. for beeing a fascist and racist party. its pretty sad that he never realised how senseless this all was.
@rantanplan178 I was not aware of this....thanks for info..but this movie is meant to be non-political and do not glorify any political party. This is purely about a young man who fought as a pilot in a sensless war on the wrong side....he just did his duty and I am sure was that he was not aware of nazi atrocities at the time during the war. The book is very well written and a good account of what went through the German pilots minds during the last horrible years of the war.
are you talking about the book he wrote about himself?
i can not say whether he knew about all the atrocities. btw what is an atrocity? is it just killing people or to put them in concentration camps. or is it enough to arrest everybody from same religion and give all their stuff away. if you think the third example is enough then i have to say that all germans knew that. they knew that their neighbors were arrested somewhere and their houses suddenly belong to local ...
... celebreties like nsdap offical or wermacht officers or moviestars a.s.o.
another thing to know is pilots of the german airforce could see the concentration camps from above...
the point is he (knoke) never thought that he fights in a senseless war on the wrong side. not in and not after the war. and when you make a film about him its very important to have these information in the film. he was a very skilled pilot and he saw his friends dying so he saw the face of war ...
... in all its brutality but he was a nazi too. you could had made a film about some other skilled pilot of the german luftwaffe who's not a nazi but you choose knoke. and for me that is interesting. actually i just think making videos about nazis to glorify them is not helpful even when you did not know about them.
@biltongbru The postscript showed that he couldn't accept that Hitler was bad, instead blaming his coterie. But the edition I read carried a second postscript he'd written forty years or so later that I liked: he wrote of 'taking responsibility for the past... and the future'. It's nice that he, and Germany, had the strength of character to face up to what they'd done, and look to make sure it never happens again.
Is too easy to blame the Germany by the WWII,but if you really want who begin the hostilities you should look the headlines of the newspapers and the magazines just a few days ahead of Hitler's election, specially the Daily Telegraph edition of 1933,March 24. I think that you'll gave a little surprise.
please, write in whole sentences. it's really hard to understand what you are talking about and what is delging? you are teenager from the netherlands, right?
dramatic and thrilling movie well done. in reality i think its noch that "thrilling" rather then fearing for the most members of this war. anyhow good to see.
but you lost one fact. knoke really flies for the fuehrer and he didn't stop to live for the fuehrer after the war. he never realized how bad the war and the fascists were. so in 1949 he were a memeber of an new nationalist party called srp which means socialist reich party and this...
Very well researched. Amazing what can be accomplished on computers with some effort and know-how. It is a true shame that both sides had to pay with so much blood and treasure, but it is an interesting glimpse into the 'other side' of things. In the fraternity of combat pilots many old enemies became close friends after the war. When you take away the national insignias, a combat pilot is a combat pilot. They often have more in common with each other than with their fellow countrymen.
excellent! absolutely excellent work. political and idealogy aside,we must all respect these pilots who fought and even died for their country. my salute to Heinz Knoke from an american. i know for a fact, that many young germans of today, simply don't understand.
@razortec Well because they joined the army and i know ur going to say: they had no choise but if they stand for mankind and freedom they should AWOL.
This is great work. Popped in mind this on Hollywood movie, Pearl Harbor, too bad for Hollywood, yours is better. Way much better. Great job, all of you who made this.
To say that this is fantastic just doesn't seem to do the film or your work justice; interesting to get a view from the other side! Very well made & presented...if you don't work in film, then you should....why hasn't MGM etc come knocking on your door???
congratulations on a fantastic movie and a great use of the IL2 engine. This is really top notch work, and you've achieved a great result - primarily because of the research and narrative.
Very nice to see the notes at the end, espec about the poor bomber crews. Added a human element to the events depicted.
Overall I thought this was great.
Thought I spotted a couple of minor paintscheme inconsistencies (Us insignia, Hi Vis tail markings, mixed 109 Staffeln)but that's just cos I'm making a campaign on a very similar theme right now. Enlist a skinner for your next job and get things dead right. RDDR and Casey1976 are great to work with.
I believe that this version IS the final product...and a superb product it is! Can't see where it could possibly be improved in any way. A masterpiece in IL2 movie-making!
nice movie my grandad was a member of the luftwaffe he flew as a radioman in a ju-88 a-4 and went down because the aircraft landed at an itallian airbase to refuel and they put sand in the fueltank the plane went down but he survived then he was sent to an airbase in holland for fighter pilot training he flew 2 messerschmitts and both crashed due to maintanance problems then the base was invaded by us brits he was sent to england as a prisoner when the war ended he was set free to live his life.

I believe that this version IS the final product...and a superb product it is! Can't see where it could possibly be improved in any way. A masterpiece in IL2 movie-making!
