So, I can only dream of Sheldon and Penny having a thing on the show but it's nice to know that he always asks Penny to sing "Soft Kitty" to him when he's upset, homesick, or even sick because that proves that he finds her simply comforting. If he really wanted to, he could call his mother on the phone and she could sing it to him but he's always asking Penny. They bicker back and forth and they act all annoyed by each other but when either one of them are upset they go to each other for help.
