  • We were playing this during drama club, I looked around and saw we had to black people in drama club.

  • The black guy didn't have a puppet but the white people did? RACIST!!!!

  • @Pentazoid111 Is that supposed to be a joke? Because if you know Avenue Q, you know that not every performer got a puppet. The "black guy" was playing Gary Coleman, who does not have a puppet for the whole show. There's a white guy in the show that never gets a puppet, too; he plays a human.

  • lighten up...

  • @youngsaintsfan I'm not offended by being called anything but nigger. Not when my family says it or anything. I wont stop being offended, but any other name in the book is all on the table.

  • @Ilovegagaification I am talking about it when its not being used in a racist way, like in song lyrics or quoteing somone

  • @youngsaintsfan Here's a wild idea. Since black people are offended by the word...why not just stop using it? How difficult would that really be for you?

  • @thetrollking124

You'll rethink once a nigger steals your shit and shoots up everyone. little kid, you have your whole life in front of you so dont waste your time replying to a troll like the retard we all know you are. On second thought, get raped on youtube and jump off a bridge.

  • @yokin128: You're racist? Then I don't think I want to talk to you.

  • @tecksipport Everyone is racist!Have you learned nothing from this song?

  • I love this show, but am I the only one who finds the Gary Coleman character deeply offensive to the concept of humor? Yes, Gary Coleman existed, we already knew that.

  • @MrCrotchford I don't understand what you are trying to say.Gary Coleman came into this because of "It Sucks To Be Me".I don't see how it's offensive. It's not like they just said "Lets put Gary Coleman in because he is black".How is it offensive?

  • @yokin128 It's offensive to my sense of humor. I think it's cheap and the Gary Coleman thing has been done already. I kept expecting some humorous twist on the idea of introducing him here and it never came.

  • Nah, these guys are pretty darn good

  • no offense 2 these guys, but i think the Broadway cast are so much better, :-)

  • cant they do better

  • LOL okay I only like Prinston,Kate,Nicky, and Rod XD and Christmas Eve :P

  • @yokin128 I guess I shouldn't say "new". West End is a different bunch. I prefer the original Broadway group.

  • Comment removed

  • Gary Coleman is played by a guy???

  • @JETTYAGE

Where did you get that it was trying to justify white racism exclusively?

Everyone's a little bit stupid, all along,

Some can even miss the point of this SOOO-OOOO-ooooooong.

    Yeah. Stop butthurting.

  • Hi Guys!

We just started a new musical. If you like this musical, you should check ours out! Please comment! Thanks!

    <3 sextingthemusical

  • why is oriental racist

  • @mittROMNEY666 he may as well have said "How many negro wives have you got?"

  • @yokin128

yur comments as also been flagged , can u stop trolling on the internet pls, very annoying

  • @gdariusman What do you mean?I haven't trolled.

  • This play is hilarious loved it! although i saw it with my dad a little awkward....

  • LOL. I got up without pausing, and when i got back, i'm like: "WTF this sounds like hannah montana!" And then it said "everyone enjoys them, so relax!" and i snapped back x3

  • 5:02 Fail...

  • @sentorus67 - Actually, Jesus was Middle-Eastern. :) Point taken, however.

  • There's a real attempt out there to justify hatred of other races. This is propaganda to downplay the massive amount of racial hatred whites harbor. I mean what wrong is wrong period it would be the same equivalent if blacks created a musical making light of all of the violence in the black community. Or muslims making light of religious extremist in their community. Problems in each of these communities have to be dealt with honestly.

  • @JETTYAGE Can you spell backfire. Stop being so anal and then you'll harbor less resentment yourself. Which is the whole idea of this song. Jesus, RELAX, and you'll see this film will not make people more racist, if not less. If you can see everyone is racist, then ironically everyone can get along. Penetrate the surface, please.

  • @LinguistTroubadour Everything you said is a lot of nonsense I never said this video will inflame more racial hatred. I said this musical and other media like it never acknowledge the real problem with racism. And everyone is racist false equivalency is a bunch of bull there's degree's to racism from believing in stereotypes to extreme white racism when blacks is dragged from backs of pick up trucks. Or Ethiopian immigrants are beaten to death with a baseball bat type of racism.

  • @JETTYAGE I read right and I replied well. Yes, yes, there's a lot of real problems that occurs because of racial biases and this film doesn't adress it, true. Fine. But you know that, god, we know them, we hear about them all the time, most of us go through enough education to know that racism is wrong. But we're never actually taught that sometimes it backfires - that becoming too self-conscious and sensitive to one's race will actually set races apart. This song does address that.

  • @JETTYAGE you're a fool who completely missed the point of this musical number, and you probably haven't seen the whole play. Did you know that this musical, Avenue Q, was co-written by a Mexican American? I also like how you stress the "massive amount of racial hatred whites harbor" clearly denying the massive amounts of racial hatred that other people's harbor. But again, that's the point of the song, which clearly went right over your head.

  • @JETTYAGE please don't publicly announce your ignorance. -_-

  • check out portrait of a princess!!!

  • It's funny because it's true

  • What do you mean "You Monsters"!?

  • I would just like to say to the people arguing about if Jesus was black or white according to science and stuff Jesus would have been tanned brown not the white with wavy hair like in the pictures

  • Lol, it's true. I'm kinda racist too. Maybe more than normal

  • Crush the blacks. THATS NOT RACIST. THATS A COLOR CORRECTION TERM.

  • Im not a little bit racist sometimes, Im a little bit racist All the time!

  • Jesus was black

  • Now, how about those Polocks?

  • You think were all just one big race of monster huh?! XD they should say that

  • I love the Asian woman at the end :) "Everyones a rittle bit lacist"

  • YOU RACIST BASTARDS XD

  • @00angel4200 fail idk where I got uk from. My mind was elsewhere haha. But i meant western Europe loll.

  • @00angel4200 but if the UK is perfect and has little to no racism as you say, then kudos to you

  • @00angel4200 well I am partially Cherokee native American and I happened to inherit slightly skinnier eyes than the "normal" Caucasian and I have been called Chink more than a few times. But sure it's getting better if you want to see it that way. Just the other day a church that I know of got vandalized with swatstikas (or however you spell it). Whoever did it spraypainted them across the front door, on windows, and on the sign the church has.

  • 148 racists watched this

  • @00angel4200 idk where you are from, but couples of different races are frowned upon and rare where I live. And of course people are not racist up front because you get in trouble, but the majority of people have racist thoughts in our heads and you can't stop it. Sure racism is regulated and better in public...but private...no, just no. If I wanted a guy of a different race, the majority of the ppl I know wouldn't like it.

  • @IcyPath15 Huh. I live in western Europe, am ethnically Asian, and have experienced virtually no racism. Most people here wouldn't look twice at couples from different ethnicites and if they are closet racists they are hiding it well.

I don't know where you are from (and admittedly it sounds a little behind the times), but I can guarantee that wherever it is, racism used to be worse. And will probably get better.

  • Princeton's puppeteer is HOT! :3

  • A life lesson for everyone! XD

  • @wemusttry....ur kidding right? It will never get better. Ever. Except when the world blows up and we r all dead lol. But anyway, you are one of those people that sees only what they want to see

  • @IcyPath15 ... you are kidding right? It will almost certainly get better.

    1) The trend in the Zeitgeist has been that society has become less and less racist ever since racism was even recognised as a thing. The most progressive comments from 50 years ago look horribly racist by today's standard.

    2) Couples from different ethnic backgrounds are becoming more common. It wouldn't be surprising if in a few hundred years there is no such thing as race, everyone is a bit of everything.

  • Wut R y'all skinny white azz bitches talkin' 'bout, yo? Imma not racist, dogg!!! I'm ginger!

  • Comment removed

  • thats funny

  • "i cant even get a taxi!"

  • Haha I used to have the weirdest crush on Princeton.. lmao

  • Call me a dreamer, but I really think that things are going to get better when it comes to this issue.

  • Kate's voice drives me up the wall....>_>

  • I love this song! ~ I saw them on friday it was so good i didnt want it to end!

  • "Everybody's a rittle bit lacist!" Wow this song is amazing

  • Well since you ask... SEARCHING THE INTERNET FOR PORN

  • Well, speak for yourselves. I'm not racist at all.

  • @tecksipport Hey! thats racist to people that are a little racist!

  • @tecksipport We are all racist.

  • This should go on broadway

  • @micbab12 its a broadway show :)

  • @micbab12 It was. It won a Tony. Then it closed after a good several years. Did very well though!

  • @emmadilemmasings So I won't be able to go to any of their shows anymore?

  • I can't even get a taxi! :D

  • REALLY! THEY MAKE IT SOUND LIKE IT'S OK TO BE RACIST! (although, i have to admit, that song WAS pretty caughty) BUTS ITS STILL NOT OK! >:(

  • @carolinahottie98 You obviously didnt get the point of the video....EVERYONES RACIST even if its just a little and plus you sound like your in denial. XD

  • @blobvision @SweetMidnightKiss My brother just asked me about this same point today. IMO seeing the puppeteers is symbolic. In Sesame Street, the puppeteers were invisible because it was part of the "magic" of the show for the puppets to seem to be alive. In Avenue Q, which is supposedly Sesame Street dealing with more adult issues, the "magic" has faded with adulthood--so we see the puppeteers. Dunno, just a thought. :-D

  • @siriusnst so its like dog sees god (the charlie brown people grown up) where everyones grown up and they deal with adult issues like drug and shit XD

  • @siriusnst Or maybe it's just easier to not have to hide puppeteers behind cardboard boxes for a live show.

Not everything has a 'deeper meaning'.

Damn English classes. Making people think EVERYTHING has hidden meanings.

  • @siriusnst I like that thought actually. I knew you were SUPPOSED to see the puppeteers but I never really wondered why so you're suggestion actually makes quite a bit of sense. :)

  • @siriusnst Amazing idea!!!!!

  • @FeidanXsama Okay, first of all, Judaism and Muslim aren't even races, their religions. And that's extremely offensive, even if everyone is a little bit racist. That is REALLY racist. Are you like one of those homophobic/racist/allergic-to-everyone people?

  • I like racist jokes and hate racists but what I can't stand even more is people who consider racists to be some brutes and monsters and not just plain idiots. They can't distinguish a person being racist or just joking around. The more you care about it the more foolish you look.

  • These people don't understand what puppeteering is. You don't stand there with the puppet unless you are doing ventriloquism. It's hard to pay attention to the puppets when the people are standing there visibly and then moving and gesturing around the stage. Also, it's a poor Sesame Street spoof because the puppeteers are visible, whereas Sesame Street did not do that.

  • @blobvision Ok, how do you intend to get the puppets on stage, live, without exposing the puppeteers? Have them roll around puppet stands? That would get very tedious, very fast.

  • @Sonickrazy That's the point of puppeteering, tediousness. Costumes/puppets akin to big bird can hie the puppeteer easily. They could also wear black over a background. There are a plethora of way to hide or obscure a puppeteer.

  • @blobvision The point wasn't to have the puppeteers be invisible. It's also just supposed to be funny and a spoof of Sesame Street. A spoof is meant to be laughable and make fun of something. It's not meant to be the same as Sesame Street.

  • @blobvision The fact that you can see the puppeteers is kinda the point.

  • @SweetMidnightKiss What about this don't you people get? They obviously hadn't intended on hiding the puppeteer, duh. Their intention was to have the puppeteers ignored in the storyline, but they have made no attempt or effort to do anything to take the audience's eyes off them. They have the puppeteers in bright clothing and dancing and wailing around almost as much as the puppets are. You can't ignore them, they are in the way. Their attempt to force the audience to ignore them failed.

  • @blobvision The puppeteers are wearing grey? The other characters are wearing bright clothes. You clearly don't get it. :L So I won't bother explaining it. Enjoy being annoyed at a great show. :)

  • @SweetMidnightKiss The girl is wearing a purple dress with purple stockings, look a bit closer. They guy is not wearing blue jeans and a not that dark grey shirt. Why should I, the audience member, be forced to ignore them when they are so obvious and awkward? That kind of puppeteering is not that hard. I've seen puppets that needed 3 people to work them and you could hardly see them. These guys fail.

Yeah, Avenue Q is the about the coolest most interesting thing you'll ever like. Loser.

  • @blobvision It's grey. That's just the lighting. :) You aren't forced to ignore them. You're kind of supposed to notice them in a way. There's no need to be mean and call me a loser 'kay? I was simply stating that they do it for a reason. I get that you're entitled to your opinion, but let me share mine? And I like Avenue Q, so do lots of other people. So let me like what I like, I don't exp
