To my fellow bronies: Stop complaining about the earlier generations of My Little Pony. Because Friendship is Magic is not the greatest thing in the world.

G1 Ponies got girls excited about fantasy.

G2 Ponies taught me there was more then one way to be a girl.

G3 and G3.5 were experimental and made a prototype Scootaloo and Pinkie Pie

G4 Ponies are stories that Laruen Faust had with her ponies as a kid.

I enjoy them all. (but toy yes, is fail I think they're referencing G2.)

actually.... as far as the mer-ponies are concerned-- seaponies are a part of the original ponies from the 80's... and people-ish ones have been around for a looooong time. I remember a ballerina 80's style pony with moveable legs so you could pose her in different ballet poses.

those aren't the normal mylittle ponies. not even the ones on all fours. these are the G4 design. the ones I grew up with were the G1 design that came out in 1983. I don't care for the new design and these are terrible. mylittle ponies were always ponies, mermaids, and sometimes faries.

Quite a few years back, they did make a My Little Pony cartoon series. The first season had them as normal ponies, but the second season had them more human-like living in a human-like world, going to school. I know because I watched these, and I'm sure a lot of other people have because this was on Disney. in the friendship is magic revamp, the ponies still walk like ponies but wear clothes. only rarely do they stand on their hind legs, and that's only for a few seconds. i think the toys probably can be moved to stand like normal ponies, and to stand on their hind legs as well, just like in the newest revamp.

All right, since you really want to know, [deep breath] the arm size's tight, the middy collar doesn't go with the shawl lapel, the hems are clearly machine stitched, the pleats are uneven, the fabric looks like toile, you used a backstitch here when it clearly called for a topstitch or maybe a traditional blanket stitch, and the overall design is reminiscent of prêt-à-porter and not true French haute couture.
