For those who don't know, Lorenzo (choreographer and director of Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti) used to choreograph for O Tahiti E. So if you see a similarity in style (and music) between the two, now you know why =)

I agree. I enjoy watching both O Tahiti E and Grand Ballet. I did find it odd that the number they did with the white pareo, the last half of the drumming sounded exactly like O Tahiti E

haha, stop trying to get people to hate on eachother for such a meaningless thing! Don't you know that both O'TAHITI'E and Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti are the most famous dance groups in and out side Tahtiti...and many dancers that danced for O'Tahiti'E have founded own groups, and some left, and started Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti. Both groups are fantastic, but Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti are both modern and tradtitional...

the tanes are pretty good. we have only 2, but pretty soon i think we might have 5? but i love the vahines the most. they have beautiful faarapu. great choreography. i also love the idea of the black dresses with the feathers in the hair. they're all so beautiful.
