I remember this game! My friend had this game for Snes and would let me borrow it for a bit! I remember fighting with my bro over who got to be the archer. (I always won ;P) I forgot the name of this game and just finally found it!
I remember getting this game because a friend of mine had Golden Axe on Genesis (I didn't have a Genesis at the time) and the box of game reminded me of Golden Axe... I got it, brought it home, played it with my friend, and he went out and bought an SNES and this game within the next week.
Me and my bro are pro's on this game :) -we lose health only on 5th level- One of the best for the SNES, great gameplay and superb music themes. SNES, PS and Sega FTW!
God I love when characters in this game go "RAWWWWWWWWWWWR!"

I have one question, how do you block before the hit, and just wait for it to strike, how can you stay in block?

Another amazingly accurate arcade conversion by Capcom. As close to the arcade as you could get on a SNES cart.

I used to have this game back in the day. I liked it at first, then when I beat it I decided to hock it because it didn't pique my interest anymore.

pleeeeeeeease. dont even compare this to golden axe. Golden axe is a classic with superior animation and gameplay.

Golden Axe is great and all, but this game tops GA. underrated as fuck, but up there with the big boys to us hardcore gamers
SgtStrungOut 3 years ago
Noooo way! This game has nice graphics and enemy design, but GA has more moves, better music, more drama...in short, its way ahead of this

A classic. I'm currently bidding on this at eBay.

Some of the music sounds better that the arcade counterpart....Nice memories, thanks for the post!

If you like the music to the second level, you might also like Technopolis by Yellow Magic Orchestra...16 bit-type music in 1979!
