@Shes1hrdwrkr You can't use artificial sweeteners (on their own) because you need liquids with enough of a natural sugar content in them so they don't stick in the pop maker. You can either combine artificial sweeteners with sugar or dilute sugary juices down, though. Zoku's official website talks about this in their FAQ's.
@3rascals3 The Zoku Character Kit does not come with the cup, quick tool, and the drip tray. In fact, the Character Kit does not even come with the pop maker at all. If you buy the Quick Pop Maker, you will get the maker, quick tool, sticks, and the drip trays. The other accessories on this video come with the tool kit. The character kit is more like an add-on, but it does not include what is in the Tools Kit and the Zoku Quick Pop Maker. I would just get what Kara uses in this video. :)
With my ice cream maker, which works on the same sort of principal, I keep the base in my freezer all the time so it is ready whenever you want to make something. I think this pop maker might work well that way. Just keep your base in the freezer instead of waiting until you want to make pops. As for the visual appeal, most things require some practice to get a good looking product. I found this out while experiementing with bread machines. Thank you.
Why can't we use artificial sweeteners? What about Stevia..?
