Actually, the ancient Greeks created the Tappout. Of course they considered it the greatest disgrace and so most fighters (Pankration Fighters) chose to death or broken limbs then tapping out.

Whereas I have been watching it since it's birth, not only am I a fan uf the UFC, but of MMA. I was watching PrideFC since it's beginning . . . while I was in Japan. The point I was trying to make in my original post was Lister should not be considerred a Legend. He is known as a great grappler, not so much as a great mixed martial artist. ADCC is still not MMA. Sure he has fought in some big shows, but he has not accomplished anything to known as a title contender or a serious threat in his weight class or the sport in general. It would be like putting a 3rd string extra point kicker on the same NFL show as Campbell, Taylor, Favre etc.

First of all it says the ufc "installed" the tap system into their rules....it never says they invented it.....and they call Dean Lister "one of the world greatest grapplers" or "some call him the worlds greatest grappler".... Listening helps....
