good video, worked on my 2007 gt and i have a clifford aftermarket as well as the factory one. just use aftermarket remote to disarm aftermarket system when using factory alarm... (and vice-versa)

This also works on a 2003 Ford Taurus SE but you don't need to hold down a button. Just turn it from Off to On 8 times until you hear them click.

this dose not work with all mustang's, some mustang's like mine u have to put the key in the on position and go in the truck and touch 2 wires together in the drivers side panel. this was done with some mustang's starting in 1996 or 1997. the 2 wires will be together in a plug u just need a screw driver to touch them together and the locks will do the same thing as when u do the key 8 times

Although this technically works it isn't how you are supposed to program the keyless entry.

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times quickly (No need to hold any buttons)

2. This enables programming mode, the door locks will cycle to indicate this. press any button on the remote within 20 seconds and then take the key out.

3. The remote should now work.

I say this because by following the video instructions it may not work if you do not press any buttons after the initial 8 turns..

@iamtheman698 My remote is stock and I just replaced the batteries. I found a different site that tells how to do it for the 98 and older Mustangs... there's a two wire plug in the trunk, you have to jump the two together while the ignition is on and then press any button on the remote. Pretty crazy but worked just fine

@samantha455100 First of all, I made a mistake when making this video. You don't have to hold the lock button down while turning the ign. on and off 8 times. So turn your Ign on and off 8 times then but hit lock button on remote 1 then on remote 2. Then turn the ign to the off position.

Actually what happens is, after you move the key (one of the originals) forward and back 8 times, you have engaged the "key fob set up" and then at that point you have 20 seconds to program your remote or remotes, you can tell by the chimes. and at that point, you have to press the lock button once on each remote, until you here the locks in the car doors lock.

u dont have to hold the lock button. I programmed a remote to my 02 Taurus by doing the key 8 times on and off, then pushing any button on the remote, then turn the key off. It worked too.

I just programmed two remotes. My method: turn the key ask described, but without holding a remote button. When you hear the door locks click (which was about 5 or 6 turns for me), leave the key on and press a button on the first remote within 20 seconds. Then, press a button on the second remote within 20 seconds. Worked perfectly on my 2000 Mustang.

You don't have to hold the lock button on the remote to program. I just got the same remote off ebay for $16, and programmed it for my 2002 Mustang GT. All the steps were the same minus holding the lock button, maybe that will eliminate some problems for people.

I got all the way to the last step. when I press the buttons to see if its working I get nothing, Weird because it does the whole process even when you press the lock button to tell you that it reads it. but after I turn the ignition off it doesn't work. I bet it is the same thing I did... Make sure the ignition is still on the ON or RUN position DO NOT turn the key back to the off side. Once you hear the double clicks lock then unlock the dooors with the remote. Chances are they wont work right... They will lock and unlock with only one click. Thats normal just turn the key back and then try it normally it should be mint. I have a 2001 Cobra and Thats what happend. Also if you have one hold the clutch in.
