@CVKent317 You just can't compare. LOMAC FCII has awesome graphics. This and falcon are simulators so they want to be reallistic, in the way the aircraft moves and the way you control it . Hawx and Ace combat are just 3rd person shooters, arcades, they are not reallistic at all, the airplanes do not really move like the real ones (as they do in lomac or falcon), even the speed they show in HUD does not correspond to the way you see the landscape passing below you. Is nothing real but fun.

A dual monitor setup where you could use one monitor for cockpit view, and the other monitor for real time camera view like in replays, so you can glance over at how awesome your maneuvers look as you're evading the enemy n blowing shit out of the sky. Plus it'd be great for spectating. Is this possible?

Little or nothing to do with what I was saying. Modern fighters, including the F-22 are limited by their avionics systems (you must know this is a fly-by-wire rather than cable, aircraft) to maneuvers of 9 times the force of gravity. Some of those maneuvers looked like they were in the 20s. :P

this game falls in the arcade category of flight combat. As long as the game looks sick and remains challenging to play, it doesn't matter how realistic it is. If you want realism, try a simulation the US Air Force trains their pilots with.

yes i have actually my uncle is a fighter pilot with the RAF it wasnt in 0.5 secs more like 15-20 seconds, bear in mind this was an older plane he is now attached to a Typhoon and i witnessed him do it in less than 10 seconds, although he gets nosebleeds due to the pressure.

I believe the US F22-Raptor can do it rather fast equipment which stabilises the cockpit.

I've been in the rear seat of a fighter jet in flight it's amazing especially barrel rolls and the emergency drifts

HAWX has better physics? Even a titanium plane would shred under that kind of maneuver. 360degrees at 1900kph in 2 seconds? Best of all? Whilst they're flipping, the thruster wash stays rigid. Ramrod straight under mind-boggling G-forces. =)

The Su-37 or even the F-15 MTD can't match them.

Few hours to finish the game? I see You didn't play it:D I've played AC6 and Hawx as well. Personaly I prefer HAWX cause it has better graphics, it has more planes, better physics, a LOT BETTER story and it's.. easier:) You can have a fun instead of getting nerous like it was in case of Blazing Angels or AC6:D Game should give a fun. Actually it isn't that bad. I saw the Kobra maneuver a couple of times there. You also have to consider the advanced thrust vectoring technology we'll have by then. Yes it's probably a little exaggerated, but overall it doesn't look too bad.

Ok, I've played the hawx and really enjoyed it. And thinking about playing ace combat 6 too, but from all the gameplayes and trailers, it seems to me that I'll be stuck in that cockpit throughout the whole game. But in hawx I can control the plane from any where; from the cockpit, outside the cockpit and there's also one special flying mode that I really enjoy, its called control off mode. So why everybody is saying ace combat 6 is better than hawx?

AC has better AI, physics and difficulty as well. Missiles are not HOLLYWOOD, unlike in HAWX which does . Also, better graphics are shitting me? AC 6 don't go pixelated which always happen in HAWX. All aircrafts can do Pugachev which is bullshit. HAWX only have a better audio compared to AC. Face it, HAWX is too hollywood that's why most of you americans like it. Worse, HAWX is piece of cake and too easy... Took me a few hours to finish the game. If I were to rate HAWX only has 3/5 in rating.

if u have played HAWX on max settings on PC u would see that HAWX has better GFX than AC6 and AC6 gets quite repetitive. I personally do not own AC6 but have played it quite a few times at a friends house and i think HAWX has a bit more replay value than AC

The game is fake as *uck we all know it. It's really fun but there is no realism at all. Try pulling up at a rate that you can in HAWX in real life and see if you can handle the G's, try doing a backflip in real life without overtressing your jet, try flying for as long as you want in real life without running out of fuel. The game kix ass but it's fake, don't deny it. I love everything in the game but assistance off mode cuz that is just way to fake...

The f22s su37s doing the cobra maneuver then shooting off in the other direction? Impossible, the amount of momentum makes it impossible, secondly the gs the aircraft are pulling would rip the majority of them apart, even if there was no pilot.

Aside from the completely unrealistic flight physics, stupidly large ordinance load out, then yeah, sure, this game is really realistic...

it isnt advertised as a flight sim. and if it were realistic, most missile engagements would be a hell of a lot farther away than just 2500m, about 10x that range, youd never see the enemy before one of you blows up, your pilot would black out or die outright doing almost any off-mode maneuver, assuming the plane even held together, and you'd only have 4-10 missiles, maybe a little more. quit complaining that every game isnt realistic.

I guess you've never heard of beyond visual range engagements right? Heat seeking missiles are within a few KMs distance, however radar guided missiles (ie the AIM as said below) can have ranges of over 20km.

AIM series missiles have ranges of 12 miles or more. lock ranges are much longer than 1.5 miles

Well i haven't played this game but i'd assume you brake then while decellerating you pull up hard to flip up without stalling, then hit the accelator.

Check each planes perks before you go into battle with the LB button. If it has Stable, you can probably do it. If it's Unstable, you'll stall.

Yeh, me too, especially as the rest of the Tom Clancy games are so realistic. Hopefully the full game is better, to be fair i have only tried the demo so it wont really represent the full game. I still think its a fun game though.

granted a little arcadey, but this makes it more accessable - not everyone knows how a planes meant to fly inreal life. put control mode on expert and assistance mode off and the post-stall dynamics are VERY nice.

haven't quite mastered that flip the f22 does but pugachevs cobra and the j-turn/herbst manoeurvre come off very naturally with practice.

a joystick generally helps too.
