  • i loved the GPU....shinnnyyyy :D

  • WANT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love ur keyboard :)

  • the most epic part of the video is the keyboard.

  • @mhaneline IT's A BEAST ! ( grabbed off of a rack of about 50 ) lol :)

  • CABLE MANAGEMENT PLSSSS !

  • Nice choice of processor cooler and case ^^ I got I7 920 @ 3,8Ghz running with same cooler and in same case

  • mmmmmmm very very nice

  • very nice bit of kit

  • Decent system.

  • Nice rig , but you could do a bit more cable management , but who cares about that when your doing Graphics Designing and such.. :D

    Cheers

  • sux

  • Very nice heatsink, i <3 it

  • 2010 now and this build still looks really good not sure of the hardware though

  • thats sexy with a capital S.E.X.Y. lol. Wicked build dude.

  • im getting x4 965 amd, evo motherboard, hd5850, 4gb 1800 MhZ overclocked :D

  • what a mess dood sort ya cables out

  • wicked machine

  • Very nice but seriously clear up the cables.

  • What computer case did you use?

  • ncie system but your cables looks crappy

  • you should have passed those cpu 8pin connectors below the cards and gpu, onto the mobo so they wont be hungin out there.

  • fuckin good rig m8 !

those push-pull fans are they yate loon?

  • one question! if it is really for company, what are the velociraptors doing in the system?? weird!

  • whats weird ?

  • its weird because a company wont need a velociraptors hdd., its really for gaming, not for data storage, even the evga x58 classfied and gtx 285.. i also doubt the processor preference, most company servers use the intel xeon, not the i7.

  • sorry i thought you'd read what business i'm in below. I am a real-time 3d graphic artist producing HD 3D graphics to the same sort of quality as the ps3 or real-time games on the pc for shows and exhibitions, all our machines are gaming style rigs for manipulating the 3d graphics, HD movies, Live Camera input and DVI capture in a 3D space, hence the raptors for fast streaming of HD movies , the graphics card for HD real-time 3D , etc etc , i didn't say anything about servers.

    Cheers

  • ahhh, ok got it,, nice machine there anyway! i mean, monster machine! :)

  • @iskrukutum21 fast hdd's arent neccesary for gaming

  • nice CPU, i bought the 920 and can OC and achieve the exact same results as your 965.

Feel like you got screwed? You should.

People the 920's will perform exactly as well as the 975 & 965. the only difference between the 920 and the 9x5 EE are the stock speeds and the price.

Why pay $1000 for any i7 EE cpu when the 920 will perform exactly the same.

All your paying for is for Intel to unlock the multiplier and increase the stock speed.

  • It's a 975 btw :P , and this isn't a personal machine it's a company bought machine, and they don't really care or feel like they got screwed, but thanks for the advice for when i buy my own.

  • the main reason there is that the cpu will have longer lifespan without overclocking..

  • not really mate, the i7 975 can achieve core clocks up to 5ghz with water cooling.. one more thing is that, a processor that is overclocked will have shorter lifespan for about 20% of the expected lifespan.., even with adequate cooling system.

  • @LB10671

    your full of shit

  • Nice!!!

  • if you do a bit of cable management, it would look awesome. thats one of the nicest cases ever

  • What do you do for work? lol

  • I am a real-time 3D graphic artist - producing interactive 3D graphics for shows and exhibitions :)

  • cool, sounds like fun, and good money lol

  • and yes the fans are good at night ( sorry accidentally deleted your other comment )

  • Wow looks great but you should have gotten an 920 and another GTX 285 (or a third) performance would have been much better.

  • can only use a single GPU with the work that i do ( at the moment )

  • why a evga x58 classified if u only running whit 1 video card ??? thinking for further upgrades? btw

    nice pc !

  • for the amount of 16x pcie slots, capture is a big part of my job. and thanks :)

  • nice case

  • wow you have dell 3007wfp 2560x1600!!

  • look at the temp display on the motherboard !?!?!?

  • the display sais 21... and your description sais 40.

Secondly, that isnt a temp display... LULZ

All i'm saying is you should get better fans.

I guarentee you will get better temps.

  • X58 manual says " Provides two-digit POST codes to show why the system may be failing to boot. It is useful during troubleshooting situations. This Debug LED will also display current CPU temperatures after the system has fully booted into the Operating system."

It was fully booted and discription say ALL components running UNDER 40.

temps are fine and looks are great.

Not having a go , just confirming my descriptions :)

  • wow nice pc and case , pls tellme name of case

  • antec p182, sprayed up.

  • and you should get the logitech g19 and the core i9 comes out soon

  • could use a creative soundblaster HD audio takes audio processing off cpu and much higher quality

  • Did u paint the case? It looks nice

  • Yes sprayed the chassi

  • Old poopy keyboard FTW!

But really nice setup it looks to be extremely pricey but nice components.

  • nice setup

  • Nice setup ! What are the orange fan on the CPU rad ?

  • looks more orange on the vid , actually red in real life, they are AKASA 120mm fans

  • awesome setup dude!

  • but why?

  • wy not

  • lol, nice keyboard

  • that keyboard rocks ! end of the day i can pack it up and go down the beach surfing on it :) LOL

(it's not a gaming rig ,it's at the office. the keyboard just happened to be there when i was building the machine)

  • nice build but I think the core i7 975 is overkill. You can just use the 920 and get nearly the same overclock performance for $800 cheaper. Unless your into unbelievable overclocking for benchmarks or something then the core i7 920 will give you about the same thing. Still a nice build.

  • i bet my system is stronger

  • i bet it is - have a nice day :)

  • have you heard about the core i9 Q1 2010?

  • what is trhe difference between velocity raptor and normal HDD like samsung or seagate?

  • Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)

Western Digital's VelociRaptor line of HDD spin at 10,000 RPM, faster than the now standard 7200 RPM of most drives.

  • ok thx

  • its faster, i.e i have a samsung and a Raptor.

the samsung is 7,200 RPM which is used for storage my Raptor is 10,000RPM which is for OS and games, it basically accesses the files quicker (faster loads etc.)

  • and therfore more expensive. I use the standard drives, maybe ill try the raptor drives. If i buy just that raptor drive, would i have to buy the samsung too?

  • for more storage i guess! (for movies etc.)

its a waste uisng a raptor for movies i think.

you could get two raptors though and run them in RAID-0

  • no... not fo movie storage.. i used them for games, applications and the OS would that be good on raptor drives?

  • For over £3000 i would of been expecting some SSD's in RAID, lol... anyways nice build 5/5

  • what does hdsdi and dvi capture cards do? Do they provide some kinda hardware video compression and how are you using them?

  • This is a live event 3d show pc and the capture cards take in live camera and live dvi feeds to be able to display them in a real-time 3d world.
