@jonathansrant Very true. I rode it last week, my first time since the update, and was looking forward to seeing it.
Sadly, and predictably, the attraction is already in disrepair. Not only were many of the much vaunted "4-D" effects not working (Smoke ring, heat, apple scent, mist screen) many animated figures weren't even visible because the lights that shine on them had burned out.
Say what you want about Disney not fixing a yeti, but how cheap do you have to be to not replace a light bulb?
Blendre, Monster Plantation was an original idea that is found only at Six Flags Over Georgia. Last year's remake into Monster Mansion kept the same storyline, but with some awesome additions!
when i went it was for my 5th birthday. I was scared! but,now i'm eight (i know i'm too young to have an account but idc) when we went, my sister was crazy! she was only two. she looked up at a monster and said "da da!" now shes 4.
when i went it was the monster plantation.its gonna be sooo fun! next sat. i'm going. the first thing i'm gonna ride is the ninja!!!!
p.s. if your going.....STAY OUT OF THE MARSH!!! =)
My family weant there when i was 4 and we rode this it was awesome but we weant agin last year with our church and the monsters were scarier than i remembered and yes there were mold stains
The remake is really amazing! No moldy water lines! lol Its actually quite nice, with a lot of cool affects. The staff was also nice. Idk when the last time you were there... but its fits the park and the 21st century of animation rides very well.
The last time I was there it had a moldy water line on the wall and the audio was terrible. Noting worked. It fit the park really...as it was the worst theme park experience EVER! The staff just didn;t seem to care.
I only visited Six Flags once back in 1996 during a work trip to Atlanta, but I fondly remember this attraction and being very amazed at how "big" it was - very much like a Disney Splash Mountain or similar ride. This makes me want to plan a vacation back down South to check it out.
Don't let the animation fool you the marsh part is scarier than that
