Thank you for your comments. Seen from above, this country is truly amazing. I used to fly the prairies and in it's own way that too was incredible with the huge horizon and storm cells visible for miles. Yes, you must get your pilot's license. It opens up a whole new world to you. BTW I have just posted another video, taken over Southern Vancouver Island. It is part travel, but mostly to experiment with my new helmet cam, a GoPro Hero, mounted in the cockpit. Enjoy.
My pleasure in sharing the video. I'm no expert at it, but having fun and of course the landscape is incredible. Glad you got out for the Olympics. A wonderful time and we were glued to the TV for much of it. The show of patriotism was a wonderful part of it too with the whole country seeming to be involved. A good memory!
Where is home, and how far along are you in the construction of your RV-7? I grew up in BC but lived in the NWT and Sask for many years. Most of my flying was flat-land country until I retired to the Island. The beauty of this landscape just blows me away. (fewer places to set down safely....but maintenance is high on my list of chores! :-) Good luck with the RV....a nice airplane.
I live in the Fraser Valley and so far we have the tail section ready for inspection and now working on getting the skins and fuel tanks ready to inspect
Thank you for your kind thoughts. Yes, we are lucky indeed to live in such a beautiful land...lucky in so many ways. The music you asked about is the title song from the movie "Somewhere in Time". The music was written and orchestrated by John Barry who has done so many beautiful movie themes. The move (a good one!) starred Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymore. Thanks again.
Your videos are awesome. Are those tip tanks on your Mustang II? If so, did you come up with the design for the tanks yourself? How much fuel do they hold?
Thanks for the compliment. The tip tanks were purchased back around 1978 from a US company called Rattray Aircraft Fiberglas. I think I have that right. The company still exists, run by his son, though the prices have REALLY gone sky high and the response time is very poor. They came as a 'shell' only and I had to make bulkheads etc. They hold 2.9 imperial galons each. BTW I enjoyed your video. How is the airplane flying? Looks great. John

Not sure what your question is, but if it is the music, it is Canadian singer Celine Dion and it is titled I'm Alive
