Oh gosh, here come the tears. I watched this movie last night, and I'm still not over it. The beauty of this whole movie is just... stunning. As is this video. <3 Well done.
I think this is one of those films you can only properly see once. After that, when you know the ending, everything you watch on screen seems tainted and biased because you know what's going to happen. That's why I encourage all to persevere with watching this the first time round.
Crying right now. So beautiful. I only saw this film last night and I was sobbing buckets at 12:30am. Such a chilling performance from such an amazing man with a totally heart-wrenching story. Going to cry some more now. Fabulous video. xox
I´ve read a autobiography written by a mother about spending the times that´s left for her daughter who suffered from terminal leukemia. As James in ´Third Star´ she choose to decide her own time of death and location.
Watching ´Third Star´ was kind of like seeing the book in film. The constant pain and mental preparation for death... I cried when I read the book, but this film really made me burst into tears and left me numb. It made me feel like losing a close friend too... numb...
One of my favorite clips from the movie is at 0:19. He's in the middle, the friend that obviously keeps all of them together, and the one the care about the most. I love how they are surrounding him, staying close.
(Of course the tent was small so they HAD to be close, but it's still heartwarming. )
I wasn't expecting to react to the movie the way I did. I'll shed a tear here and there if I watch an emotional movie, but this movie... I had tears streaming down my face. I wasn't sobbing, I just couldn't stop crying. I felt a connection to the characters... They're only a few years older than I am. I can't even imagine being in a situation like that, watching my friend die. I now want to go and hug every one of my friends as hard as I can.
I felt so....bereft after I watched Third Star. All of their acting (including Benedict, of course) was just so heartrenching. I have cried only at a handful of movies, and this one has been added to the list. I was so sad for Miles, Davy, and Bill....but I couldn't help crying in happiness for James. He was able to finish something, and he wouldn't be living in that pain anymore.
But, Gods, I'm going to be a wreck for the rest of the day D: Your vid truly did this movie justice!
For me, this wasn't a movie that made me cry. Its so much better than that. I cry in cheesy, overly-dramatic movies (think Titanic)
This movie left me feeling numb and empty. Like my best friend had just been ripped out of my life. Its been a couple hours since I watched it and that feeling is still with me.
Love the video, and what you wrote about the film in the description. "Right after I watched this movie, I felt numb. I literally left like I just watched my best friend die in front of me and I couldn't do anything to stop it." Sweeping film, so raw and just marvelous, and such brilliant performances... Perfect.
I had no idea how moving this would be. I was looking though Benedict Cumberbatch videos and this popped up, I hadn't seen if before so I thought I'd take a look.... What a big mistake I made; I've literally been sat here on my own in the dark crying over this for like 15 minutes. Benedict is truly amazing, one of the best actors to have ever lived. Thankyou for uploading! x
I watched this movie and cried more than i have ever cried over a movie in my entire life. It totally broke my heart. I felt like i had just watched...no HELPED my friend die right before my eyes. UGH. I keep seeing it in my head and almost breaking out in to hysterical sobs
This video actually brought me to Third Star. The acting, the scenery, the story... it was beautiful. It was truly a beautifully done film, I agree with the uploader. I cried harder than I have for a long, long time. Well done Benedict Cumberbatch and the supporting actors (I'd list names, but I didn't recognize them).
I watched it today and I haven't cried this much since the night before my uncle died. He had cancer, and we knew he would pass come morning and there was nothing to do but wait. This brought all of it back. And it looked so real, the anger, the pain, I absolutely loved Benedict's acting.
This video is so sad and beautiful that it makes me want to watch the movie, yet not want to watch the movie because I know it'll depress me for months.
@actynalice Here's the summary from IMDB: James and his three closest lifelong friends go on an ill-advised trip to the stunning coastal area of Barafundle Bay in West Wales. What follows is a touching and comical adventure dealing with friendship, heroism and love.
The editing of this video alone is making me tear up. The movie had me literally sobbing. I relate to everything you say in the video description...
This movie is so touching. Very sweet, honest, and funny in all its sadness. Truly remarkable! I can't get it out of my head.
After I watched it I felt bad all evening, night, and the next day. I thought to myself how insane it was that a random movie made me feel like a family member or best friend died. Glad I wasn't alone.
I felt exactley the same and as I commented on the 'I don't want to die' video, I was all by myself without a much needed box of tissues because I was in flooods!!! Honestly, no film has made me feel so emotional and it has been in my mind ever since and I cannot get that image of Benedict/James' face whilst watching the fireworks - beautiful!!! xxxxx
URGH! you've killed me all over again, this is stunning and utterly heartbreaking! The movie destroyed me as well. I don't think i have ever cried so much at any other film, but also laughed at parts of it as well. And now this has just brought it all back :'( beautiful xx
Crying once more. That last line of the movie was beautiful and that's how it should be for every life.

Oh God, I`ve just watched this movie and I must say your video is as heartbreaking as it was. Its so powerful and intense.
Btw 0:24 JJ Feild was extremely good in that episode. I don`t know why but all my tears were for him - for his courage and his tragedy.
