It is reassuring readin those comments of vegans and vegetarians. I live in a very meat based culture, and I am vegan. And I was beginning to forget why I am doing it. However,I doubt that in my country they treat cows the way that is described here, simply because most of the milk comes from quite small farms where the cows are outside half the year, and they have names. So, I drink milk and eat eggs, but no corpses. But I feel like I am the only vegetarian.

I hate to say this, but the dairy industry is VERY cruel to cows. They keep them in stalls where they can't move, use rape devices to force them to have a calf, steal the baby from them-and keep that calf deprived of iron so it will become anemic and become: Veal. So if you drink milk or eat dairy you are patronizing animal cruelty and I don't think Hara Kirshna would appreciate that. And we humans are parasites that steal its milk since the calf will be slaughtered for veal. That's TRULY dairy
