i LOVE this mission :D but..... i hate how the games campaign only features army rangers and tf 141 they could have involved all spec ops in it, like this mission should have been properly labled as a Navy SEAL mission because no other special operations force in America would use the tactics demonstrated in the begining and at 1:18 the Navy SEAL motto is the title of the mission "the only easy day was yesterday" is what is burned into your brain while attending BUD/S

Should have been a dual operation of SBS & Navy SEALs to be honest, skip Tf141 but just make them dual SAS/Delta Force and SBS/SEALs.

General Shepherd commands both tf-141 and the army rangers, but Shepherd later sees the opurtunity to become a global hero when tf-141 is close to get to Makarov. Tf-141 is a most secret force, and that's why Shepherd tries to kill all of them - nobody else knows about the taskforce and would think Shepherd would be a hero, if there was nothing left of tf-141, when Makarov would be brought to light.

(SPOILER) they dont really make this clear but its speculated as well that sheperd intended to destroy the intel you gathered from the safe house and remove any evidence that any terrorist act had been committed on makarov's part. this way since the russians invaded the U.S. sheperd could justify a counter invasion into russia thus becoming an even bigger war hero
