can you use the original tires on sand and snow?? I just got one and we live close to the beach so I want to run it there. We also go north for Christmas and I want to try it in the snow
@ufcu123 Sure, if you want to. Though, the stock ones work better on pavement and dirt. They sell a lot of different tires that will fit. Check out your local hobby store or prolineracing . com.
mine cant wheelie like all videos show the stampede xl5 does!!!!!!! i have to backup and forward quick!!!!!!! also my motor acts like it has not enough torque. it turns on and off in a quick cycle if i gun it at a stop. it has a 20 or 21t pinion and stock spur. its the brushed xl5!!! i cant get it to do this and it has to have a FULLY charged battery to do offroad! someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it barely makes it up anything very steep!!!!!!!!!!!
@Shaykie13 Still running the original motor. I've had this one for a year now and have driven it in snow and dirt. The only reason I got a new one last year was because I broke the A-arm mount on my old one.
@hislip33 I have 2 stampedes. I just have a custom chevy body I put on sometimes. The stampede with the black body broke last year so I got a new one this year. Which is why some of the footage is from last winter and some is from this winter.
Is it waterproff brand new?

@Vazquez12able The new ones are waterproof. The older ones aren't. I used an old one and a new one in this video.

whats the best tire glue for a stampede xl-5? 2.8 rims
123xyan 7 months ago
@123xyan Don't know. When I glue tires, I just use cheap dollar store super glue. Worked fine for me...
CarbonCat09 7 months ago
@CarbonCat09 i dont know i could try that but people tell me that it melts the rims/tires. idk

@123xyan The super glue I used didn't. If you're not sure, go to your local hobby store and ask them.

That's pretty darn cool. Does it have separately controlled brakes?
bcdoggie 2 years ago
@bcdoggie Thanks! and no, the back tires slow down when you switch directions on the trigger. It goes foward, brake, reverse.
