  • This is my Governor. Fuck me. He was just on T.V. speaking in Vulcanism for all the sense he made. He lied about how many jobs Obama has decreased in government, how much they increased in the private sector, and while spewing this bull shit, his big idea of Right to Work is nothing but a scam to bust more unions and lower wages and jobs. The N.F.L. players union said they wouldn't cross any strike lines. Oh how I'd love to see this comb over wimp ruin the Super Bowl. I want the right to govern.

  • if you liked george w bush, you'll love mitch daniels. im not sure if i am in the mood for a third bush adminstration. i prefer holding off housing booms and catching bin laden to invading random countries and not paying for those wars.

  • Best choice the Republicans have for a presidential contender. He can get the job done.

  • @HafwayHolmes Yeah, I heard he too can count to three like Gov. Perry. How old are you? Did you forget he was asked to resign by Dumbya? That's got to be the biggest insult in thousands of years. Now he's taking revenge on Indiana. This MOron sold the Indiana toll road and lost money. He ruined one of the power companies too. Now his right to work joke, union busting and wage lowering scam, almost cost us the Super Bowl. Had anyone gone on strike the N.F.L. players said they wouldn't cross.

  • Mitch the two face bitch.

  • all I got from that was "Its not my fault because im the most sorry of all of us that it happened cant you guys just blame the black guy? jesus!"

  • Here is so two face it not funny.

  • stuttering through his lies.

  • more Republican BS on the economy - when are the public actually going to realise that Republicanism and Fiscal Conservatism are completely incompatible. The biggest growth the government subsidies came after the last "Republican Revolution" and the Bush years. Not under Obama.

  • mitch who?

  • How about policies enforcing banking regulation, you dunce?

  • Why be honest when you can lie?

  • Stupid Republicans always blame someone else. How is it Clintons fault. He had surplus. and Everything people blame Obama for was started under Bush. The Tax cuts are the prime example of a explosion on the economy. I wish people could see the truth.

  • @grindme

It's called projection and that's what the Republicans are master at.

  • I wonder if he's gonna run on the 'my man mitch' slogan for president...cuz he's surely not the man I wanted for governor of my state.

  • and the numbers show it ?

    What numbers show what ?

  • HAHA FINALY!

  • WTF Wolf! Asking the tough questions :D

  • What a hypocrite. He tries to blame their own clusterfuck on the previous administration, but then blames the following administration for having to spent money trying to repair the disaster they left behind

  • @wprange

Let us not forget they held up the Dems efforts to fix their colossal f*ck-up then say that is proof the Dems can't do anything.

  • That's a whole lot of hemming and hawing to get around saying that what happened is indefensible. Nat'l Debt DOUBLED. No one associated with the Bush administration should be supported by the GOP for a 2012 run. No one.

  • @mikebee02

    Dear moron,

The standard measure of debt is the debt to GDP ratio. Since the Clinton admin, the debt has gone up 6% under Republicans and 21% under Democrats.

    Regards,

Someone Who Knows What They're Talking About

PS You should at least read "Economics for Dummy's" before commenting on the economy

  • @ThePoliticalMoose: I appreciate the correction (honestly), but check your numbers. Clinton's debt ratio decreased by 9.7% while Bush's increased by 27%. Regardless of Obama's numbers, which aren't even out yet, a 27% increase is indefensable. I stand by my previous statement that the GOP, whose main focus is now smaller govenment and fiscal responsibility, has no business considering the candidacy of anyone associated with the Bush administration. (Thanks for the civil discourse, Prick.)

  • @mikebee02

    Liberal-Pansy,

Firstly, the President has very little control over the budget and taxes (Cite Article I & II, US Constitution). Look back to Clinton, you'll see that the GOP deficits are always significantly smaller than those of the Tax & Spend party.

Secondly, I agree with you on that the Bush administration didn't focus enough on reducing the size of government. But comparing Bush to Obama is like comparing an M80 to an 80 Megaton bomb -- both explode, but one does more damage

  • @ThePoliticalMoose

Did I miss something here? Clinton started with deficit of $290 billion, ended with SURPLUS of $236 billion (fiscal 2000). Bush destroyed all that. Clinton public debt (% of GDP) went down 16.4%, under Bush it went up 4%. Did you watch the same video the rest of us did? Explain how comparing Bush to Obama is like an M80 to an 80 Megaton bomb. Explain that to all those who lost family members in Bush's IRAQ war! Bush also destroyed the U.S.'s reputation worldwide!

  • The deficit is entirely the fault of Clinton and Obama.

  • @HomleandSecurity lol... nice troll.

  • @frodoondabass nice try to dismiss my point. But you're wrong, and saying "lol...nice troll" just shows that you have no real comeback.

The deficit is entirely the fault of Clinton and Obama

  • @frodoondabass

    DNFTT.

  • clown

  • He was the Director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget under George W. Bush?

That alone should disqualify him ! But sadly, it wont!

Maybe he can find some more tax payer built US toll roads to sell to private companies?

  • Delusional or pathological liars???

  • "Uh, Uh, Uh, Uh", Nice going Daniels, looked like the fool that all republicans are. Not only that, we all know out here in the real world just what Damage the 8 yrs of Bush has done to this country. And now you thugs want to go after SS, telling lies that its going broke. It's self funded, not part of the debt, never was part of the debt..ever! It's well funded out to 2045

  • Mitch Daniels: "I will just say that the choices that were made in those years were not all accurate, not all good ones, but far better than what we've been doing over the last two years."

WTF, he and Conservatives have NO SHAME!!! During the Bush II Adminstration, the national debt doubled, the size of government increased, put us in two wars...and voters put them back in power in the House of Representatives.

"There is none so blind as those who will not see." - John Heywood, 1546

  • Debt is supposed to be measured as a ratio to GDP; saying the 'debt doubled' is a complete lie.

It went up 6% under the Republicans and so far under the Democrats it's gone up 21%!

  • @ThePoliticalMoose Because you people totally destroyed the economy and the GDP.

  • haha, Who's team rallied for "affordable housing?" It sure wasn't the Freemarketeers

  • @ThePoliticalMoose That was Bush and the Republican Party's "ownership society" they launched on May 17, 2002. And FYI, it sure were Freemarketeer Lenders who went completely bonkers.

I'm sure you're one of those people who blame the CRA. Note that loans made by CRA-certified lenders turned out to be far less riskier that any loan made by non CRA-certified lenders, the freemarketeer lenders. That's a fact.

  • hahahahahahahhahahaha hahahahahaha it's a sitcom

  • But "deicits" don't matter... Right? *rolls eyes

  • What a snake!

  • the dot com bubble burst during CLINTON'S TERM.

    nice try asshole.

  • @CooperLordOfAll "There were no terrorist attacks during Bush" D: hurpdurp.

  • @CooperLordOfAll Regardless, the dot-com crash did lead to a recession in 2001.

  • condom head lol when he looks up face looks like my ball sack

  • Of course the economy looked 'better' than it has the last two years. It was built on a bubble of fraudulent lending and unregulated debt swapping. In '08, as this jerk off was heading out the door, the whole scheme collapsed like so much rickety scaffolding, and the economy was left in ruins for the next president to have to attempt to rebuild.

  • That's one greasy snake!

    What a liar!

  • :54...."Well, Um......" and the stammering continues!

  • I love how in answering the question, he never answered the question. He pushed it aside and said "Yes, but the guy who inherited our debt still has our debt!"

  • Or said another way, I just got busted. You're right, Wolf, I'm really sorry for fucking everything up while ALSO lying about it... and continuing to lie about it. Not just any lie, though--real fucking moralizing kinda lying - the kinda lying where I blame everyone but the culprits. Actually, to tell you the truth, Wolf, I feel so much shame I'm going to leave public life. I'm a real shit.

  • Despite my efforts, my neighbors here in Indiana elected this guy to office twice. The same man that predicted the Iraq war would only cost 85 billion. Serious questions not only about his involvement in economic disaster federally but also his track record here in Indiana should be addressed.

  • O_O did he this guy really say all that BS on national TV??

  • @rl0u8888 Yes and we're letting them get away with it.

  • living in a dream world.. i would like to know his net worth and how much money he has off shore and where his get a way house is located. slime balls, they are all slime balls that say they worked hard for what they have.. yeah right.

  • WOLF BLITZER grilling someone ?!!!....when did wolf become a real journalist...he destroyed that guy...and i think the guy was a little surprised that wolf kept hitting him relentlessly....that must be rachel maddow wearing a wolf blitzer mask....i need to watch this shit again...lol....WOLF MADDOW FTW

  • Oh god... dumb answer.

  • Republicans in a nutshell. Give tax cuts to the rich. Start two wars. Cause a global financial crash. Blame the .com-Bubble ... Oh, and don’t forget Obama!

  • Funny stat I found- The last Republican President to decrease the debt/GDP ratio was Richard Nixon. No Democrat (at least since WW2) has increased the debt/GDP ratio.

  • Obviously unwilling to take blame

  • he he...what a fk'in' idiot. Just watch. The republicans will love and laud this gomer.

  • The first Bush recession lasted only a year! Moron... You guys ran up the deficit all throughout Bush's term.

  • wow, typical GOP response. "well, there was nothing we could do" but then says "well, we'd love to be there now" and blames Obama. Just once i want to hear a solid strategy from a candidate that doesn't trash Obama.

  • this guy is a serious presidential contender? man, this was a pretty poor performance for a professional Republican.. usually, the GOP has great, concise talking points that neatly deflect onto another topic.. gotta work on your talking points, Mitch Daniels..

  • Then by his logic, Obama's deficit is because of Bush's recession.

  • Hats off to Wolf Blitzer here......Great interview..

  • Dick Cheney said 'Deficits don't matter' Republicans don't care about deficit unless it's a Democratic Government. Republicans don't care about the size of Government unless it's a Democratic Government. They are LIARS.

  • cnn is so soft on guests... they should come out with facts right after someone tries to lie or change the facts period!

  • Budget director my butt. Yes there were bubbles that burst and your administration reacted by lowering taxes on the rich, giving more tax breaks to big businesses who produced no new jobs, rewarded shipping jobs overseas, and putting us in a nonjustifyable war. Takes a lot of guts to sit there and obfuscate you role

  • Daniels is full of it. George W. Bush increased the budgets of every department, and created the Dept. of Homeland Security.

  • The deficit increased under Bush because of 4 or more Wars, ( I can't keep track anymore) and adding another layer of massive police force to make sure your not voting for independent candidates.

And it's going to keep increasing because this administration has done the exact same things.

It's going to collapse soon I hope, and I'm looking forward to it.

Remember a vote for Palin is a vote for anarchy!

  • This guy is so full of shit!! Talking about the deficit without even mentioning the Bush Tax cuts and the two wars!!!!! Give me a fucking break! The least he could have said was we didn't anticipate fighting two (yet to be completed) wars.

  • @CalexanderJ Beautiful. Are you also living in Indiana? LOL.

  • I thought this guy was supposed to have his act together . . .

  • @nicholas9999 No one from Indiana has their act together.

  • @nicholas9999 That would be impossible. Republican conservatives don't live on the same planet as the rest of us. They seem to live in some black is white war is peace Orwelian place. So there act can never be 'together'

  • Let's just dump this system and all the cronies in the garbage and start all over...what do we have to lose?...Nothing...we already lost it!...

  • lies lies lies

  • Everything that comes out of this guys mouth is fodder.

  • Another bullshitter for President. Thanks GOP.

  • what a Fop!

  • Deicit?
