one other note main reason for the purchase was baby food making. last kid didn't have one jar of pre made food. only downside of other jar was adding too much liquid to get the food to blend , this should fix that.
got this the other day, may use it more as primary since smoothies come out better and less juice is needed. used only 4 oz of Oj filling this with berries and other frozen fruit. aloof forward to trying other recipes.
If you left it go longer the oils would have released more and you would have had a glossy, more liquidy nut butter....equal to 10 minutes in a food processor...
Question: Was this warm to touch when you were finished or totally cool?
Blendtec totally jocked Vitamix's tamper idea... At first they said you didn't need a tamper and now they sell one as an accessory for $100, that's lame! I love my vitamix, I make ice cream, soup, butters and smoothies and always with the help of my tamper. I bought it because I liked the tamper idea
@JuliRafMardieta I have the New DESIGNER Blendtec, and I chose Blendtec cause Vitamix STOLE Blendtec's technology anf Vitamix LOST a lawsuit againgst Blendtec and is paying a hefty sum.. I have not had the need for a TAMPER with the Blendtec and they don't advise using one..
Awesome! The one thing that stopped me from getting the Blendtec over the Vitamix was that the vitamix had a tamper to speed up processes like nut butter and ice cream (without milk or other liquid) This looks really helpful
@Manny17191 - The Blendtec does make everything perfectly. You can use the WildSide or FourSide pitcher to make almond butter, ice cream, hummus, etc... But it takes a lot longer to make something like almond butter in any blender because a blender (by it's very nature) is not the best tool to use to make almond butter. What Blendtec did was design a pitcher that makes a blender (their blender) a perfect tool for making almond butter.
I'm confused by this new adaptation to the Blendtech. I just bought one after being told it makes everything perfectly and now I have to invest another $100.00? Not too happy about this at all.
@Manny17191 You don't HAVE too. I have a new DESIGNER Blendtec, ( limited edition color, etc, and electronic face), and it is the same motor as the Total Blender. You don't need this accessory, it is just Blendtec making more money,, ( OK with that), I am not purchasing one.. Haven't needed it to do anything!!

cont... The Twister Jar is a great accessory for making certain things that blenders typically aren't the best at (any blender, not just Blendtec).
