iOS still to the best of my knowledge doesn't have interactive live wall papers. Most widgets are rather tedious requiring you to use a file manager or opensh. .Most widgets are not interactive which is a pain. I admit stock iOS looks very nice, and everything runs smooth, and the apps are almost always better. iOS to me is more like a toy, and android more like a computer!
@sicpit if you get vwallpaper cydia app,you can download many wallpapers not just gingerbread or android mock-ups, you should check vwallpaper app its better because at least you can choose different vwallpapers, also there is a app on the appstore that allows you to get lockscreen video wallpaper.

@KILLA12PSN lul my android does not lag with full screen animations and 8 widgets :) its callled overclocking, something an iOS can't do :/ my fully jailbroken itouch lags.
@frankth3frizz yu do know overclocking an ARM CPU will shorten it's life spam and yu'll get less battery life and yur phone will heat up btw the ipod 4,iphone 4, and ipad 2 does not need overclcoking as is it's more stable and more organized. The only apps the start up without you using it would be Mail but if your jailbroken you could delete the app (if you don't need it) and one more thing Lag is caused by not having enough RAM and the processor to keep up with the Tasks. iOS is better. :)
@KILLA12PSN you relize that theres kernels that protect your CPU from doing all the negative things you said :) my G2 runs 1.5 GHz ON DEMAND which means its not on that clock AT ALL TIMES and the batter stays at a cool 30 degrees celcius, so If i do need that boost it'll give it to me. my Battery lasts longer than 24 hours with regular browsing. and yes i have an itouch and i can say iOS is NOT BETTER. lol. and speaking of ram my phone has the same as an iphone4. ur a fanboy. nothing else to it.

True, there are 200+ roms out there in total, for all android phones combined, but individually, only SOME roms are compatible with your phone (for example, a Mytouch 4G rom won't work with the LG G2X, unless it's ported [and as of now, no one's taken the initiative to]). It also depends on which phone you have too; like, the HTC G2 has TONS of roms available because of the excellent dev community behind it.

Yep, looking back at the video with new eyes, most of the "hate" comments can be justified; Android has come a looongg way since I made this video, *especially* with regards to themes, Market game selection, and stability. Another "correction/update" to this is that the iphone CAN have livewallpapers (at the time of this review, it didn't). So before ya'll start posting and judging, please look at the date at which this video was filmed...a lot has changed.
you have clearly missed the whole point of android! its open source!!! theming on android is not as basic as you make it appear. using LAUNCHER THEMES will only theme the LAUNCHER dumass. have you even heard of the t-mobile theme engine from cyanogenmod? I agree with some of what you said, but I can tell you have not truely explored your devices. Its not what can they do out of the box, imho, its what can I make it do!

When the iPhone 5 comes out, I'll do a reevaluation vid that's more up-to-date than this one. And to prove that I AM indeed aware of what android's capable of, I've already made SEVERAL Full Customization guides for the Galaxy S, Mytouch 4G, HTC G2 that feature SYSTEM-wide theming (not just launcher themes). The good thing about the iPhone is that it gets outdated a lot slower then the android. I mean common, they release a new phone every 2 weeks. And the iphone is a lot more secure.

I just got gingerbread...its two times faster than froyo so the os version matters in performance at least that's true for my nexus one htc device. Nexus three is on the go for ice cream and upper version, definately get this.
Rooting isn't for just changing thems and stuff, I would use a root to get into app files eg: add cash to tapfish for free, just use root explorer do into data and yeaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!! Free fids time

This is all a lie by the way guys. I myself have had both types of devices. Ive had The HTC EVO 4G and The iPhone 4. iPhone was jailbroken and Evo was fully rooted. You can do more things with a rooted android device. Everything from downloading custom roms to downloading applications like wireless tether and Adfree. The better choice is Android hands down.
I had a jailbroken iPod Touch. Out of the box, my Samsung Captivate(2.1 at the time-2.2 now) did everything I wanted my iPod to do, and more. Rooting adds even more possibilities.

you had mentioned that there aren't a lot of theming options for the rooted android devices and i have to disagree with that. there are endless amounts of themes to get. if you visit sites like xda developers or the unlockr, just to name a couple, you will find so many different new themes and roms. you should check them out
With a rooted Android Phone you can flash new ROM's. So if your phone has been phased out you can still get newer versions of Android or choose between many custom ROM's with different functionality and looks. On some Android phones you can even flash entirely new systems like Ubuntu or Windows Mobile. And you forgot to mention that Android can install apps that are not from the Android market even when they are not rooted. ;)

You can greatly change the themes on the android. I have a Tron themed android tablet. It has cyan colored icons and notifications. Even Andy is blue and on some versions he has the white marks on his body that changes when you toggle USB. There are downloadable icons you can download aswell for certain homescreen launchers. Aside from that there is XDA which has tons of more mods! Like WP7 and iPhone themes!
of course the iphone 4 wins the theme comparison but its not fair to say oh since android pretty much does everything the iphone CANT do right out the box lol
Yes the Jailbroken iphone 4 does have live wallpapers . Its called vWallpaoer in Cydia and the iphone 4 is super fast. Mine is customized haveli and its still fast. It doen't lag at all like the rooted android so why try to overclock it.
@MAXPWNAGE00001 Uhh jailbroken iphones, which is what's being compared in the vid, have something called Frash, which is flash for the iphone. Also, there is an app for flash called skyfire if you can't get Frash which gives you the ability to play flash.

I could go on my phone right now and play flash games, or go on flash websites with full Adobe Flash Player 11, while you can't do that on iDevices. True, there are 200+ roms out there in total, for all android phones combined, but individually, only SOME roms are compatible with your phone (for example, a Mytouch 4G rom won't work with the LG G2X, unless it's ported [and as of now, no one's taken the initiative to]). It also depends on which phone you have too; like, the HTC G2 has TONS of roms available because of the excellent dev community behind it.

Yep, looking back at the video with new eyes, most of the "hate" comments can be justified; Android has come a looongg way since I made this video, *especially* with regards to themes, Market game selection, and stability. Another "correction/update" to this is that the iphone CAN have livewallpapers (at the time of this review, it didn't). So before ya'll start posting and judging, please look at the date at which this video was filmed...a lot has changed.

you have clearly missed the whole point of android! its open source!!! theming on android is not as basic as you make it appear. using LAUNCHER THEMES will only theme the LAUNCHER dumass. have you even heard of the t-mobile theme engine from cyanogenmod? I agree with some of what you said, but I can tell you have not truely explored your devices. Its not what can they do out of the box, imho, its what can I make it do!

@mattyyey Like I said in my earlier comment on this video - This was made a longg time ago..Android's improved significantly since this video was filmed. When the iPhone 5 comes out, I'll do a reevaluation vid that's more up-to-date than this one. And to prove that I AM indeed aware of what android's capable of, I've already made SEVERAL Full Customization guides for the Galaxy S, Mytouch 4G, HTC G2 that feature SYSTEM-wide theming (not just launcher themes). Thanks for the feedback, though.

I just got gingerbread...its two times faster than froyo so the os version matters in performance at least that's true for my nexus one htc device. Nexus three is on the go for ice cream and upper version, definately get this.

This is all a lie by the way guys. I myself have had both types of devices. Ive had The HTC EVO 4G and The iPhone 4. iPhone was jailbroken and Evo was fully rooted. You can do more things with a rooted android device. Everything from downloading custom roms to downloading applications like wireless tether and Adfree. The better choice is Android hands down.

you had mentioned that there aren't a lot of theming options for the rooted android devices and i have to disagree with that. there are endless amounts of themes to get. if you visit sites like xda developers or the unlockr, just to name a couple, you will find so many different new themes and roms. you should check them out

With a rooted Android Phone you can flash new ROM's. So if your phone has been phased out you can still get newer versions of Android or choose between many custom ROM's with different functionality and looks. On some Android phones you can even flash entirely new systems like Ubuntu or Windows Mobile. And you forgot to mention that Android can install apps that are not from the Android market even when they are not rooted. ;)

You can greatly change the themes on the android. I have a Tron themed android tablet. It has cyan colored icons and notifications. Even Andy is blue and on some versions he has the white marks on his body that changes when you toggle USB. There are downloadable icons you can download aswell for certain homescreen launchers. Aside from that there is XDA which has tons of more mods! Like WP7 and iPhone themes!

Yes the Jailbroken iphone 4 does have live wallpapers . Its called vWallpaoer in Cydia and the iphone 4 is super fast. Mine is customized haveli and its still fast. It doen't lag at all like the rooted android so why try to overclock it.

I could go on my phone right now and play flash games, or go on flash websites with full Adobe Flash Player 11, while you can't do that on iDevices.
