  • This is from Teenieweenie. Just letting y'all know.

  • 1996 was an amazing year in music.

  • ummm... the song they go into is Omaha stylee...

  • @LPJC311 its definitely transistor intro >>> homebrew

  • @LPJC311 Ummm....no, it's Homebrew.

  • @LPJC311 you are wrong sir

  • @LPJC311 no

  • whoever threw that thing at pnut @ 1:44, I will find him and kill him

  • @milpool311 I've seen 13 311 shows all around the South East and 2 311 Day shows. The loudest and hardest of them all is the "outdoor" show at Lakewood(google hi fi buys, it's the second one down)!!! 07/04/2009 - "We love this fuckin town," Nick Hexum

  • i wasnt even 1 years old still wish i was there!

  • seen 311 11 times shit never gets old!!! check my page for stoner film made by me. lemme know what u think. ROCK!!!!!

  • jones beach '04 was awesome!! they played summer of love!

  • whenever they start a show with that intro you know its gonna be SIIIICK tight

  • They blew my mind twice in '08.

  • yeah the energy is awesome here. i wish i was able to see 311 back then. i was 8/9 in 96 so it was kinda tough lol. but ive seen them around 10 times since '04 and i think from jones beach '04, 28 song setlist, sickest show ive seen them i think, through 2006 the energy was still up there but the last few times ive seen them its really decreased. im not saying the energy level in '04 was near that of in the 90's, but after '06 its REALLY been noticeable, atleast imho.

  • I saw them in 96 and have pretty much seen them every year since and I think the only way to really get that raw energy is at General Admission shows where people are just bouncing off each other. Its still great though to see them do their thing no matter what.

  • Heck yes dude. I saw them at the Cain's Ballroom this past may. Super small venue the size of a high school basketball gym, literally. It was a dancehall in the 20s, 30, all the way up to now they still use it for western dances. The energy was raw raw raw. A beautiful, loud, uncomfortable, hot, stuffy, sweaty, front row concert.

  • I agree, except.....I'm 28 now and have seen them 18 times.(2 311day shows, '02 and '04) I have my ticket for 2010 in Vegas as well. With that said, my knee needs some serious surgery since my last show in Dallas earlier this month. I think I'm too old for the pits, man....fuck! I still can't walk without a limp. And that was 3 weeks ago! But, as long as I can stand, I'll be in the fuckin pit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TeeMishion.Couldn't have said it better myself!...Arena's helped kill the great bands of the early 90's!.. Once you take it out of the club it just isn't real anymore.

  • nobody rocks the tamborine as hard as SA

  • I LOVE 311

  • 311 rulz

  • best snare drum sound in the business!!!!!!

  • That's a pretty bold statement dmez. I've seen them 24 times and it some ways, you're right! BUT they are still BADASS!

  • goddamn, this is great...ive seen 311 a shitload of times, they do NOT bring this energy anymore

  • SA's energy is second to none. :)

  • I love that intro riff for the Transistor disc

  • Too bad only certain CD players can find it :(

  • I always wondered why they never made a "true" song out of this. This riff could spawn a great tune. Add a Bridge & some vocals.....ready, set, go!!! Instant hit. Thanx for the comment JP.

  • @inUTUBEitrust because thats not what they want

  • holy shit. awesome.

  • AHAHAHAHA S.A at 3:58 FTW!! god that made my day

  • lol he hits the mic stand; you can see it wobble

  • I love how SA is just going apeshit with that tambourine.

  • I use to have this show on tape years ago, it looks like the exact same recording... i guess there were multiple copies of this? i gave the tape to this girl to "barrow" then I never ever saw her again. i wonder if that tape just went around and landed its self online. i'm still heartbroken about giving that tape away. fuck that girl.

    peace and love.

  • what the hell does transistor intro mean? this is no transistor intro??

  • if you have the transistor cd go to the first track "transistor" and rewind it until it gos to negative digits then you will hear it on the cd.

  • yeah but they did that intro in 94-95 at live shows.......so for me it's the 1995 intro, two years befor transistor.. oh well...I'm the type of fan they wrote down for.

  • 311 ROCKS FACE!!!!!!!!!

  • transistor intro they had that intro before transistor was even a album. Jeez newbies

  • 311=GNARRRRLLLEEEEYYYYY

  • AHAHA I love the tambo man

  • Why do 311 fans call it the Transistor Intro. Was this from the Transistor Tour or from some overseas version of Transistor that had this extra track?

  • Its the hidden intro on the transistor album, you have to rewind the first track of the album to hear, bad ass 311 is down for the UNITY!!!!!

  • Awesome vid! Thanks! What memories... or lack therof. I was at this show. This was my first time experiencing 311, and I have loved them ever since. This was the show that the Butthole Surfers walked off stage because someone threw a cup of beer on stage. They basically said don't do it again and about 50 people did it. Classic!

  • this song just makes me wanna drop acid

  • the bassist = P. Nut

  • haha around 1:43 watch the bassist head butt that paper ball

  • this must've been at Compton Terrace then.

  • lol i agree
