Just a little wondering, how long did it take for you to draw only one of the pictures to the animation? Sure it depends on what scene we are talking about ^^ But did you count what it took in general to draw one picture? :P

Thanks, it's hard to say, as I'd often do one element from a sequence of frames, such as all the hands and then all the noses, and each requires different considerations etc. Rough speaking anywhere from 30secs a frame to 5 minutes to 20 minutes depending on the complexity.. it was an insane amount of work..

did the demon love the angel or summat? it was really good and very entertaining to watch but i dint understand the ending, all the way throught i thought the demon was trying to escape but the ending makes it look like all the demon wanted was to kiss the angel or sumat

This film blew me away! When i first watched it i thought it was describing the self-destructive chaotic nature of evil. kept in prison, tormented by his captors ie the noose

he then finds a thing of beauty after paying a price for seeing outside ie the loosing his horns. then after finally getting close to the bird which seems to be kin to his captors lures and kills it. only to relise after that it wasn't worth it. i thought it was deep. Thanks for making it.

Demon took just over a year to complete -- a lot of work for 9 and a half minutes!

And yeah there probably could have been more blood.. but then there's always room for more blood..

or maybe he simply felt the urge to destroy something of beauty, as true demons do?

I think the demon fell in love with the angel it was feeding. it seemed to be trying to kiss it, but it accidentally killed it. which makes this incredibly sad! not to mention freaky at first. there needs to be a warning for people who are high.

just my take, but, in essence...

1. our negative emotions imprison us

2. being subjected to the light of love shows us how monsterous we might be i.e.,

-a. the light of the window=divinity = love

-b. the angel=divinity=love)

3. once one falls in love, then trys to hold on to, or even capture, that love...well, that is the worst thing we can do

4. selfishness/self indulgence is bad

5. don't fall in love with a bird
