  • @bakabana1967

A story of the musicomania, Thank you.

I have the CD of this album. And both Rollins and Art Blakey have a CD. Though I had an LP. . .

There may not be the best so.

    Por favor, disfrute mucho.

  • What a cool album cover!

  • @phillipstosberg

Thank you for comment of nice words.

  • I have this LP and played it innumerable times. To me 'I Can't Get Started' is the highlight. But when I hear Max just accenting the 'Jordu' theme, I am already lost. So much musical intelligence in this group, Max and Brownie demonstraing an uncanny telepathy; both have a somewhat mathematical approach to improvising.

  • @BuckshotLaFunke

Thank you for very nice comment.

I was born in the year when this album was taped.

It is about 20 years old to have purchased this LP. And I purchased the CD of the full take in 1995.

It is often that I hear "Jordu" of D.Jordan at the same time.

I am left in the Jazz history with this album; think that is interesting. And I should continue listening from now on.

I think that he is a genius. Thank you for wonderful ... comment.

  • had Brown lived beyond 25, Miles Davis would be a footnote in jazz history..

  • @zhaydhee

In life time, I think that he surely left a big footprint for history of jazz.

  • No one was greater than Brownie. This is an excellent example of his virtuosity. Like the other commenters here, I am amazed at the legacy he managed to carve out while only performing for a short period. Also, was there ever a more fascinating drummer than Max Roach? His timing and musical approach is flawless. And too little credit is given to Harold Land, a superb tenor man.

  • @beeshor1

I remember that I heard two times of visit to Japan performances of Max Roach.

Your comment gave me many good suggestions.

Thank you for the best comment.

  • @beeshor1 Pertinent comment, thanks!

  • agreed i think clifford"s tounging and phrasing is incredible a master of the instrument and at such a younge age to

  • @Zyezion He had about what, 6 years of his professional career? He died at 25 and has more fame than any other professional within six years.

  • @Zyezion @kaseyWtrumpet

Thank you for good comment with the respect to Clifford.

  • I also think so.

The short life of Clifford is regretted.
