I hate cosplay, just because 95% of the time they suck so bad. Most of the textures don't look anything like what they did in the game, all the metal materials are plastic, and most of the people dressing up are completely off in figure... CLOUD DID NOT HAVE TOOTHPICK ARMS!!!

Zack and Aerith date in CC, and after he dies cloud doesnt exactly take over - its strongly implied their in love, but the same could be said for tifa. It all depends on you personal opinion. i prefer cloud with tifa, but only because Aerith is dead, so thats not exactly going to work out:p
The only reason Aeris was all into Cloud was because of the strange resembance between Zack and himself. Cloud loved Tifa from the beginning. That's how it went.

What Cloud remembered early in the game was part of Zack's and Tifa's memory's. Aries even mentions a couple of times how much Cloud resembles "him" throughout the game. So, why do you think Aries took a likin' to Cloud so much? Cause he acts just like her ex-boyfriend, Zack. It's not opinion, its fact bro. That connection you're talking about is Aries remembering Zack.

@ShapaKeesay it's because of Zack's scarred memories into Cloud's owns which created the "Cloud persona" at the begenning of FFVII, untill he recovers his memories.
@ShapaKeesay Was'nt it like, Aerith and Zack were a couple, and Zach dies as sephiroth kills him, as we see in the game and then they imply Cloud with some of Zacks genes or whatever onto him, and he gets some of Zacks memory. After Aerith and Cloud meet, Aerith " falls in love " with Cloud. There is one part where Aerith mentions Cloud being alot like Zack in FF VII. Also there is a " love triangle going on, as Tifa is Clouds childhood friend ( apparently in love too )... correct me if im wrong
Aerith & Zack were kind of a couple! Sephiroth didn't kill Zack, but knocked him down, then Cloud stabbed Sephiroth, but also passed out. Shinra then collected Cloud & Zack, and locked them up in big test tubes, but Zack broke free and released Cloud too.
Zack was a first class SOLDIER, and is used to being exposed to mako. Cloud isn't, so he got his head messed up pretty badly. Because of that, he was rather confused and merged his identity with Zack's after Zack died right in front of Midgar.
@JaremasteR thats all true, im not saying thats not part of the reason Aerith likes cloud - it says that in the game itself! but i just meant, cloud also seemed to have feelings for Aerith aswell. So Cloud/tifa fans shouldnt just use 'well she only likes him cause of zack' to dismiss their entire relationship. A love triangle is exactly what it was, and personally i think it was good neither pairing was canon and you could decide what you liked for yourself. personally im pro cloud/tifa ;)
@JaremasteR I will correct you. Crisis Core, Zack is Aeriths boyfriend. They spent time together all the time he could have. He made that flower cart, gave her that pink ribbon and told her he cared about her. He even told the turks to back off cause he didnt like them shadowing her. He went to niblehiem for a mission, got stabbed, cloud defeated mammas boy. They get to be experiments, they escape and zack has 89 messages sent to him from aerith wanting him back, how she missed her.
@JaremasteR Aerith only got to like Cloud because zack gave him his memories. Cloud only fell for him because of Zack's feelings. But your implying wrong though.... Cloud always loved Tifa, went through great depths into helping her. Saving her in nibleghiem and helping her through the reactor moments. You really need to play crisis core to see what I mean... its lush. He was only moments away to seeing aerith again and gets killed by gun man. Tseng was nice, he tried saving him for aerith.

He says something like "my dreams, my ambitions, they're yours now" and Cloud is still so screwed up in the head from Hojo's experiments and because he was never happy with himself, Cloud adopts Zack's personality as his own. Zack was always strong, confident, etc. and Cloud always admired him. Importantly: Cloud does not get implanted with Zack's cells.
err for the people wondering, aeris is her name in the european version of ffvii and aerith was her name in the american release. and since crisis core was developed mainly for america shes now called aerith for all regions (i think)
It's quite convoluted really. Her name comes from the Japanese transliteration of Earth, which is Earisu in the original game. So when translating back into English there were two choices - reflect the Japanese pronunciation and call her Aeris, or reflect the etymology of the name and call her Aerith. It seems the translation teams couldn't agree!
spira looks aisian, its true - nomura says he based it of asia in interviews. but i dont think all the characters look asian, i agree with LOLAICHINA - they look kinda white and inda asian aswell.
Next to Yuna, she's definitely one of my fav FF girls, and one of my fav FF characters. Yuna wins just for a pinch...Both are awesome, cute, and just...perfect!
i dont think the game would have had the same impact if aeris had survived, her story is such a tragic one and i think thats what makes people like her so much more than usual.
as for aeris and cloud... i perfer aeris and zack because i think they go better together ( and i dont really like cloud - aeris and tifa can do better ;]) but yeah if she had lived they proably would have ended up together.
And besides that, there's the unpredictabilty (don't know if that's a word, if not, I claim it to be so!!) of killing her off...and the fact that she seemed to be expecting it. The last Cetra, supposed to save the day and live happily...is killed. Never see that coming.
Adelle is the closest Aeris cosplay up to date, her hair/body figure is perfect...but her face is too western (i blame Square for making Aeris an Asian-look-alike char in the 1st place)
But I will still continue to check out Aeris cosplays from time to time...and hopefully, someday I can find her....
if your looking for asian aeris cosplayers,i think shirokumapan [ 00:50, 1:51, 2:22,] is proably the best ive seen so far.
personaly i disagree with you though, i think aeris looks fairly american/western. so far the best western aeris cosplayer ive seen is adella or joanie, who unfortunatley isnt in this video because i only found out about her a little while ago.
I loved Aeris/Aerith the most compared to all FF characters ever created...shes cute,mature,kind and stubborn...all i ever wanted in a girlfriend... ^^
Sadly I have yet found a real girl in Aeris cosplay that 100% resembles her...
Mainly is because the hair is insanely hard to do,have to have slim figure,big puppy eyes, and slim,v-shaped face...if u fail at one of these, you will fail at being Aeris-look alike...

I have yet to see an amazing Aerith cosplay. Don't get me wrong, the girls here are amazing but not like POW amazing.
I've seen plenty of AMAZING Tifa, Yuna, Yuffie, other advent children characters, and even Kingdom Hearts characters (ex: Kairi) cosplayers.
Maybe it's because Aerith is a hard character to imitate? Or maybe I'm just being critical but yeah...

@ShapaKeesay Was'nt it like, Aerith and Zack were a couple, and Zach dies as sephiroth kills him, as we see in the game and then they imply Cloud with some of Zacks genes or whatever onto him, and he gets some of Zacks memory. After Aerith and Cloud meet, Aerith " falls in love " with Cloud. There is one part where Aerith mentions Cloud being alot like Zack in FF VII. Also there is a " love triangle going on, as Tifa is Clouds childhood friend ( apparently in love too )... correct me if im wrong

Aerith & Zack were kind of a couple! Sephiroth didn't kill Zack, but knocked him down, then Cloud stabbed Sephiroth, but also passed out. Shinra then collected Cloud & Zack, and locked them up in big test tubes, but Zack broke free and released Cloud too.
Zack was a first class SOLDIER, and is used to being exposed to mako. Cloud isn't, so he got his head messed up pretty badly. Because of that, he was rather confused and merged his identity with Zack's after Zack died right in front of Midgar.

@JaremasteR thats all true, im not saying thats not part of the reason Aerith likes cloud - it says that in the game itself! but i just meant, cloud also seemed to have feelings for Aerith aswell. So Cloud/tifa fans shouldnt just use 'well she only likes him cause of zack' to dismiss their entire relationship. A love triangle is exactly what it was, and personally i think it was good neither pairing was canon and you could decide what you liked for yourself. personally im pro cloud/tifa ;)

@JaremasteR I will correct you. Crisis Core, Zack is Aeriths boyfriend. They spent time together all the time he could have. He made that flower cart, gave her that pink ribbon and told her he cared about her. He even told the turks to back off cause he didnt like them shadowing her. He went to niblehiem for a mission, got stabbed, cloud defeated mammas boy. They get to be experiments, they escape and zack has 89 messages sent to him from aerith wanting him back, how she missed her.

@JaremasteR Aerith only got to like Cloud because zack gave him his memories. Cloud only fell for him because of Zack's feelings. But your implying wrong though.... Cloud always loved Tifa, went through great depths into helping her. Saving her in nibleghiem and helping her through the reactor moments. You really need to play crisis core to see what I mean... its lush. He was only moments away to seeing aerith again and gets killed by gun man. Tseng was nice, he tried saving him for aerith.

@JaremasteR I think the popular theory about Cloud taking on Zack's memories has to do with Zack's parting speech. He says something like "my dreams, my ambitions, they're yours now" and Cloud is still so screwed up in the head from Hojo's experiments and because he was never happy with himself, Cloud adopts Zack's personality as his own. Zack was always strong, confident, etc. and Cloud always admired him. Importantly: Cloud does not get implanted with Zack's cells.

err for the people wondering, aeris is her name in the european version of ffvii and aerith was her name in the american release. and since crisis core was developed mainly for america shes now called aerith for all regions (i think)

It's quite convoluted really. Her name comes from the Japanese transliteration of Earth, which is Earisu in the original game. So when translating back into English there were two choices - reflect the Japanese pronunciation and call her Aeris, or reflect the etymology of the name and call her Aerith. It seems the translation teams couldn't agree!

spira looks aisian, its true - nomura says he based it of asia in interviews. but i dont think all the characters look asian, i agree with LOLAICHINA - they look kinda white and inda asian aswell.

i dont think the game would have had the same impact if aeris had survived, her story is such a tragic one and i think thats what makes people like her so much more than usual.
as for aeris and cloud... i perfer aeris and zack because i think they go better together ( and i dont really like cloud - aeris and tifa can do better ;]) but yeah if she had lived they proably would have ended up together.

And besides that, there's the unpredictabilty (don't know if that's a word, if not, I claim it to be so!!) of killing her off...and the fact that she seemed to be expecting it. The last Cetra, supposed to save the day and live happily...is killed. Never see that coming.

Adelle is the closest Aeris cosplay up to date, her hair/body figure is perfect...but her face is too western (i blame Square for making Aeris an Asian-look-alike char in the 1st place)
But I will still continue to check out Aeris cosplays from time to time...and hopefully, someday I can find her....

if your looking for asian aeris cosplayers,i think shirokumapan [ 00:50, 1:51, 2:22,] is proably the best ive seen so far.
personaly i disagree with you though, i think aeris looks fairly american/western. so far the best western aeris cosplayer ive seen is adella or joanie, who unfortunatley isnt in this video because i only found out about her a little while ago.

I loved Aeris/Aerith the most compared to all FF characters ever created...shes cute,mature,kind and stubborn...all i ever wanted in a girlfriend... ^^
Sadly I have yet found a real girl in Aeris cosplay that 100% resembles her...
Mainly is because the hair is insanely hard to do,have to have slim figure,big puppy eyes, and slim,v-shaped face...if u fail at one of these, you will fail at being Aeris-look alike...
