for people do freeze up like that plz dont try to shut your box off last resort if you freeeze take you batter out of your controller are unplug it plug it in are turn it back on hitting middle button when you do that if the xbox 360 indecates the contorller unpluging and going back on with the lights means its not completly frozen and by doing that have 91% chance to fix the frozen screen

Using a capture Device...i use a dazzle mac platinum, because i use mac OS X, So yeah you can buy one for windows at pretty much any electronics store, like comp usa, and so on. hope i helped :D
