Hey guys, sorry its been a while. To clear things up, I removed the resonator section back. I installed an original 40 series, 1in/2out, right where the resonator was and ran pipes around the differential and into the stock location. The car was unmodified other than a few things removed from the intake. Stock cats as well.

hey bro i wanted to ask what else did you use on that exhaust system? do you still have cats on it also do you have resonators? im in need of a muffler but yours just sounds fenominal. thats the sound im looking for out of my 540I. thanks for helping.

no shit i thought i was the only idiot in new england to put a flowmaster on a 540i, i also had a custom built 3 inch catback put on..little rattle, but whatever cheaper then buying the m5 dual system i originally wanted by about 2500
i cut the entire system off from the cats back and replaced it all with 3" tubing to the flowmaster in place of the resonator and then 2 tips back to the mtech bumper location
haha thanks? im assuming that was a complement. at the time a flowmaster was the quickest, and cheapest chambered muffle i could get so i decided to try it.

Did you just chop and replace the muffler with a flowmaster or have them upgrade the tubing through the exhaust system?

Sounds like your car caught cold, or is infected by TBC. It's really awful, when compared to nice sound of stock/OEM exhaust.
