the only reason that the handle gets hot if u hole the trigger is because that is where the motor is so it pretty much means that the motor is overheating, just like the m16's back in vietnam. but it isnt good if ur handle is getting hot.

That's actually an A2 variant gun with a triangle style foregrip.

@gmattison1996 No The handguard means jack shit. The lower and upper receiver, the stock, the pistol grip, the sights, the delta ring, and the flash hider are all A2 style. In fact, everything about this gun is A2. You can replace the circular handguards with a triangular style on the A2.

@Kirbisi Yes most of the internal gearbox is metal. When i took it apart I found that the bushings(the part that holds the gears) were plastic, the piston was plastic (which really isnt to uncommon), and then everything else is metal.

@Marinesofairsoft1121 It all depends on how often you play how you play and where. If you are only playing a few times a year with a couple friends then yes it is a great choice. But if you are playing atleast once a month like me then it is not a very good choice. I hope this helped. If you do play often and are willing to spend the extra buck I would get a kwa or Classic Army makes a great m16a1 feel free to check out my review on it.

@fdmqpskjtb Hmm It all depends on your price. G&G is the brand I would go with. There m16s run around 250 dollars and include the charger and battery with them. G&g has some of the best internals on the market. Another good brand is Classic army. In the past there internals where alright but their new X series m16s are good. I have a review of one up if you want to take a look at it Im looking at getting the G&g m14

@af45 pardon that. I'm on an iPad. Anyways, there is an A1 Vietnam style. The weapon this guy has is not a Vietnam styled A1 though. It is styled after the last A1 model M16 that was produced right before the A2. You can tell by the rear sight and the barrel. If I remember correctly, four variations of the M16 and the M16A1 were used in the Vietnam conflict. Go to the AR15 forums and under the "vintage" section should be more info on the matter as well as a comprehensive list of variants.

Plus if you're going with the whole "vietnam" thing, you might want to get your gear right. Your wearing a U.S. Army jacket from the Korean War, and your dog tags are too modern. Get the ones with the notch on the bottom, or the ones without a trim.
