Hormones are what makes them look different . If that doesn't work properly from birth then you will have the problems that Isis has had. You are what you are in your head. your brain is you and your body should match if you have developed correctly. 1 or 2 births in 1000 do not and hormone treatment and surgery are then needed .The earlier this happens the better it is for the person. see KIM PETRAS' story.

@bonifagurl Well she was a male before. And what makes a person a male is an issue we can debate alot. Some people would say that even after surgery the person is still a male, but since even the production of hormones are taken care off there aren´t alot you can use to identify the person as male.

If it has a penis its a male, if it has a vagina its a female pretty simple stuff.
There is nothing wrong with saying she was a male once, its just a fact, who cares. They feel they need to say this to be accepted.

Now what you fail to understand is that the only thing i am underlining is that, no matter what you might feel in your brain or heart, that is not what is used to define your gender. You might later on change your gender, but then you were still the other gender previously.

@bonifagurl I understand why people are hung up on the fact that they want to persuade the fact that they were never the other gender, because it makes it easier for others to accept it, so it's really just a way to escape all the hatred and confusion by giving a simple answer. "it is not my fault! i am born like this! just as you are!". So people will have to say, alright that seems fair, not their fault.
Just accept the facts, and live on.
