A couple points to put things in perspective: Egypt already has over 20,000 Sudanese refugees that are registered alone, so it's not like they immediately and utterly clamped down on them. Also, Israel has a considerably wealthier country than Egypt, so for the latter too taking too many of them can be seen as a problem. Im not saying that it's right to jail Darfur refugees because I think its wrong and they deserve full citizenship. Im strongly against the imprisonment of Darfur refugees. But many Sudanese refugees ironically feel they rather be imprisoned as an "enemy national" in Israel then staying in Darfur. Because at least they get food shelter protection and medicare.
