You're playing in the wrong key. It's in E and you're playing in D. Just move all your chords up a whole step or replace your D with an E, your G with an A, and your A with a B. Its not wrong to play in another key its just that your singing is in the key of E (like the original track) and your guitar is playing in D. Good luck with the guitar!
