I hate taunt parties, I get them every time I play online I'm always the one getting ganged up on, even if I don't mess with them I'm all like wtf go to team battle if your going to do that XD
thats why I drop out of them groups at the last second.
@Overhazard thats not what happens to me every time i go into them dumb groups i guess they're bored of taunting so they team up and wait for the next person to come in and fight them idk i'm just saying what happens to me.
A taunt party is a room where at least two people don't fight but just do dances of sorts by constantly taunting, sidestepping, ducking, or something else. They're not playing to win.
If you attack someone in a taunt party, either they'll just try to get away from you or the other people in the room will gang up on you and make life difficult.
"Also, hitting the Lakitu's Spinies is a Meteor Smash?"
You didn't know? That's the reason why it's so hard to knock the Lakitu down. I always have to time my attack right, or hit it before it gets to the top of the screen.
Also, I can never switch to Zero Suit Samus using the taunt method, no matter how quickly or slowly I input the taunts. How am I supposed to time the taunt sequence?
Nope. I've never attempted to knock down the Lakitus. I've never had a problem with their presence. Usually, I just jump around to escape the Spinies and avoid being directly underneath the Lakitu, or someone else takes it out for me.
You need to do the taunts very quickly. I mash the buttons, one thumb on the Wii Remote's 1 button and the other thumb on the 2 button.
Aside from getting the Smash Ball and using the Zero Laser, you can also select Samus on the character select screen, then hold down the shield button until after the stage has been selected. Or you can do what I did here and quickly do the up taunt, then the down taunt, then the up taunt.
Generally, I prefer not to change, though in this battle I didn't have to take them too seriously. You do have a good point; I need to practice as the non-selectable characters through the randomizer. Though I'll probably stick with the randomizer and practice on the ability to change Samus into Zero Suit Samus, as I'd need practice with that too.
Upload super fast? My upload speed was the same as it normally was. I just decided to start uploading a few hours earlier than normal, that's all.
Typically, I see three participants in the taunt party and one person who wants everybody else to fight. It takes several matches for them to give in or leave. My guesses are that they're being stubborn and insisting after many matches, that they don't care the others aren't fighting and see them as easy wins, or they never notice.
No, I mean upload in quick succesion. Your brawl, mario kart and Sonic videos were all uploaded in the span of three hours, which I like seeing.
Ah. Yeah, I suppose that IS a good explenation for it. If I hit first in a taunt party, I usually just duck a few times and commit suicide to show remorse. It seems to work well.
Are you using the GC controller? If you are you need to press Down and up 8 times within like a second, it's incredible hard with the GC controller. I'm guessing Overhazard uses the Wiimote because I heard it's much easier. You do know you can hold L or R when you chose Samus and going to the stage select screen to play has Zamus right?

@CandieKanePrince If you act aggressively, the others will gang up on you. They'd prefer it if you left, actually.

@CandieKanePrince Odd. It never happens to me. Maybe it's something about your presence.

Someone please explain taunt parties to me. I may be playing this game for the first time soon, and I don't want to commit a faux pas.

The reason why I knock down the Lakitu is because I find it oddly humorous. I know the Spinies are easy to avoid, but...
Huh. That never seems to work for me. I guess I should practice more often, though.

How do you change forms with Samus? Are there three ways to transfrom to Zero Suit Samus?

i know you like to use the randomizer, but maybe you could play a few battles with ZSS and Sheik, and get some practice in.
That way, when the randomizer picks Samus or Zelda, you'll be able to better utilize their ability to change.

Good games

Oh, well I prefer to stick with a main so I don't use the randomizer, you'd think it'd give Zamus and Shiek without transforming

Man, I love it when you upload super fast like this. As for the match, didn't Fox realize that nobody else was fighting in match one?

Interesting. I should upload like this in the future then, in quick succession, if it turns out people like it.

That Meta Knight in the spectator match was such a noob. Did you see how many times he used Tornado, Drill Rush, Shuttle Loop and Down Smash?
