Bands like Haste the Day, MyChildren MyBride, The Showdown... some awesome Christian metal- Haste the Day (or, their old stuff, with Jimmy, at least) was Christian black metal, MCMB is Christian deathcore, the Showdown is southern hardcore/heavy metal. I am a Christian, but I loooooooove Metallica (Master of Puppets, mostly), Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, etc. etc My favorite genre is Christian hardcore, but I like Petra, Stryper etc... and the worst band ever? Hollywood Undead. No doubt. None.
i could not agree more with this dude. Most new bands are horrible bring me the horizon, avenged sevenfold, slipknot and especially three days grace are the biggest insult to metal! it is a shame most people fall away from metal because of them
Making an idiot out of yourself on youtube again. I apologize for the rant. But idiocy is one of my few legitimate pet peeves. How about you actually listen to modern metal and actually analyze it, and the reasons why its bad. maybe then i wouldn't have such a problem sitting here listening to you but as it is you sound fucking retarded. You started to talk about why modern music sucks then you sat and talked about megadeath and metalica for what seemed like days. You, are an idiot.
I agree with you about Metallica, they lost me after Justice, but alot of jocks and rednecks still listen to them,And modern rock does suck,Rock music died in the 90's
Wow! Dogma made the jump from religion to metal.....All respect little metal buddy, but tone it down and stop giving a damn, that's metal. And by the way, about 5:45 you repeated yourself, which you knock others for.......
YAH!!! Meatlof - bat out of hell, rush - permanent waves and EVERY STRYPER ALBUM are THE BEST!!!! i listened to green day's "20th Century Breakdown" i found 2 good songs. East Jesus Nowhere (i didn't like the lyrics becuase i am a Christian. But the music was GREAT!!) and Know your enemy. all the other songs sucked! the older green day is better!!. Same with metallica and ac/dc!!!!
I agree. I'm personally a huge Metallica fan, and yeah their past few albums haven too been great, but you have to agree that death magnetic is a step up from st. anger, so there is SOME hope. But I really don't listen to DM that much because the quality isn't that good, it's been overproduced. The older stuff is so much better though, and it just sounds so much better. But I wouldn't even consider 3oh3 rock. I mean have you seen the bands who call themselves punk? that's another great topic
try Mortification, one of the most important bands in the christian metal scene. maybe thatll open the door for you to explore more christian death metal and probly even non-christian death metal. if not, its gonna be hard find more metal music that fits to your guidelines, since metal music, in its very nature, is a very chaotic and liberating, and most artist dont let strict religious dogmas get in the way them creating epic masterpeices
i guess you could call me a true metalhead. it seems to me you are limiting yourself to a very particular sound in metal. it sounds like your into that super proggy technical metal, and im guessing your christian. you might wanna broaden your musical taste to a little more heavier metal. im not christian, but there are a few christian bands that i like.
@GoChokeOn1 Well i am but im not.... i like almost all metal.... except the stuff that screams and growls super deep... although i like mortification and some AS I LAY DYING.... and i have a lot of heavy stuff... Firewind is a power metal band and really heavy.... and i do love prog metall.... dream theater is amazing... but i love thrash,,, it pretty brutal...
@StryperandJesus well firewind are alright, but its really not that heavy, and i REALLY hate as i lay crying, metalcore is the worst thing to ever happen to metal since glam. you like power metal, you like thrash, i would recommend Abattoir, i swear, the first time i heard "screams from the grave", it was like a breathe of fresh air. power metal with balls
@nygrow10 yah i know what you mean... i feel metal is making a comeback... and alot of the reason that is is because of guitar hero i think... Letting millions of kids expierence metal at its finest with Megadeth and Metallica
Well, my journey of discovering music came by older siblings and MTV. Yes, with Guitar Hero more than anything else will influence future generations.
@VenomProject Tell people about this series please!!!! i really want to get true metal heads' opinions!!! and like i said i want to start having you guys give me topics to talk about.. .wether it be This Band VS this band... or What my thoughts on this guy is... anything!!!

@mpar777 I do have it. and my favorite Song would definetely be headcrusher. Closely followed by either How the Story Ends and The Hardest part of letting Go.
@StryperandJesus what about this day we fight? or the right to go insane? but speaking of modern bands have you heard of trivium? if not look them up and tell me what you think.
