Pyramid Head represents dark side of the person like in SH2 (raping and killing women) and the executioner. In Homecoming he is an executioner that kills twice the person on which lays the real guilt for the story of two brothers -- father. And he stabs Alex once to make him "wake up" to his own story and guilt.

Yeah that's the thing I don't get. Compared to all other Silent Hill characters, Alex can turn something as simple as a pipe into a fucking martial arts weapon. If he was REALLY a soldier that would make sense, but he wasn't...

Then again, in every SH game, it seems all characters somehow know how to use a gun at it's basics, which doesn't make much sense...

Yeah, he's just an ordinary Order Soldier with a powerful weapon. And you can't take his Circular Saw when you killed him, you can only unlock that when you beat the game once.
