@DrReviewerMan he's Optimus Prime, he never needed a shield because he could just dodge. If it was anyone else sure they would need a shield but it's Optimus the leader I just find it hard to imagine he needs something to cover behind after all these years and it's not against Megatron.

@Vasun05 Optimus is untouchable, He got his butt handed to him by Megatron in the first movie taken a blow to the chest from Megatrons rifle(sounds so wrong) In the second movie he was killed, and in this one he is severly injured...if anything shockwave shot optimus down so yeah he needed the shield

@icee33 first time he wasn't fighting full out since he was in an occupied area full of civilians, second time he was exhausted after fighting several decepticons and he was stabbed in the back and in the rematch he easily could have killed Megatron if Megatron hadn't run.

@Vasun05 haha true but he isnt untouchable, if you seen the third movie you would see. He gets beat down by a certain transformer. If it wasnt for megatron saving him he would be dead
