@jimmyleppard6 There wouldn't be any jazz either. That's why I think jazz is the best. There's always blues and latin influences in jazz. but I see where ur coming from. I don't want an argument. I still like blues better!
as good as a tele sounds for blues it`s equally good for anything. i play in a heavy indie/alternative/art rock-band and the baby nails every tone i want.
@cameraman5449 nothing wrong with playing an Ibanaz with a ton of distortion...however everything is wrong with not appreciating the awesomeness this guy is doing :) peace champ
Yes, you can find white binding on the American deluxe tele and probably other teles that is one of the things that attracted me to the American Deluxe tele bought on a year ago amazing guitar.
I would really like to hear the guitar louder and maybe with a better tone from the amp, there was some nice phrasing amongst that, especially when he got wound up, but found it a bit hard to hear.
you're right, the sound quality isnt all that great, but thats exactly how the blues should be heard. youve got a sweet guitar and i really dig the way you play
i've got the same tele but its a cherry burst. play through a super reverb amp. s-1 switching is pretty sweet. fattens the sound up to a hummbucker like tone.
I know. All I'm saying to those who badmouth the MIM Tele, is that they are not that far off from the American label. The difference in price does not reflect the difference in quality, & sound.

Boring, generic. Ugh. This kind of shit makes me want to destroy my guitar, just because of the thought that such lame shit can be played on it. This isn't blues. This is bleeding foreskin.
Sounds great, but try that on a strat and the sound gets even better. I have both tele for that poppy country, strat for blues rock and jazz. Leo Fender, my hat is off to you.
I myself think the strat has better tone for blues, where the tele has that country twang sound. I think if you try a both out at a guitar store you will find the guitar that fits your playing, but, I do recommend Fender either way. I prefer the american models. And hey, you can allways buy the other one later!.
Im not so sure, i mean, strats are obviousely the favourite instrument for the blues out of the two, but the Tele has tha magnificent neck pickup which can produce some really creamy sounds. Plus the Teles have the unique soun in the middle position which the strats cannot touch.
And that ol' slab body just plain FITS! I found the Strat body contouring felt odd, I like to feel the guitar being there. I like the way the Tele controls are nice & out of the way, too. The volume control has a capacitor wired across it, that's what gives the Steve Cropper 'chink' as you turn it down, I took out the tone pot & put in a 4 position rotary switch with different capacitors wired to the volume (none, regular & two bigger values) so I can get different tones by which I select. .
sounds great. Playing with that white background with a table in front of you made me think you were playing in a police interogation room...playing for bail maybe?
Just because you don't like a style doesn't mean its "bullshit". Its only bullshit to you and the people that do like it shouldn't be subjected to ridicule because of it. Remeber, opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one and they all stink.
Let me just stick with commenting you're video instead of joining the nice little american / mexican discussion that's going on down here. Great blues improvisation, love the tone and feeling you got going there. Nice tele by the way.
I have both the American Std. 2008, & 1999 MIM. IMHO,The Mexi. has a fuller sound--the std is more twangy, both w/ stock pickups.. I prefer the neck on the MIM, probably because I've played it longer. All personal preferences, tho.
Nice! Quick and clean... An inquiry to EVERYONE who plays music on youtube though:
Why tape track? Anyone who can solo can do at least a simple rhythm... And most anyone who can youtube can record multiple sound tracks! This is one of the better rhythm tracks, but it still takes the soul from it. Just take a little time and lay down that rhythm... I've done it with a guitar pick tapping along with a stapler noise... It sounds so much nicer!

Love Teles! I have a butterscotch blonde 52 reissue and recently copped a limited edition custom shope deluxe relic. I'm not really into the relic thing but this guitar is 5.5 lbs and it's smokin on feel and tone. Love Tele's man.
if there are holes for a scratch plate on them you can or else go to a store and ask if they could put one on your tele, I wouldn't do it myself because you could damage your body
I enjoyed that! And from your body language you're having fun too. In my opinion that's what it's all about.
