  • As an opera buff I love Mascagni's music. As a boxing follower, I believe this was one of the worste movies I have ever seen!

  • @Apollogranforte

it's not really a boxing movie, it's a character study of a deeply disturbed man who can't handle his inner conflicts and who takes out his frustration on the people around him.

  • Martin Scorcese is an Amazing Director, he knows whats good cinema!

Congratulations for the Hugo's Academy Awards Mary ;)

  • The biggest mistake the Academy ever made was not choosing this Film as best picture 1980

  • Comment removed

  • The best thing about this movie is this opening theme. The rest of the movie is MEH...

  • Raging Bull

Did not win best picture or best director. An Oscar mistake that will live on.

  • @Kato00a Richard Rush deserved best director for THE STUNT MAN. Not that any of this means anything...and ORDINARY PEOPLE was a damn good movie...

  • I find it enchanting how this calm music looks against a hardcore and violent background of the movie. Congratulations to Scorsese for winning the Film and Music Award at the Critics' Choice Awards.

  • This song makes me want to close my eyes, fall asleep and never wake up. This song brings joy to my soul and love to my heart. Raging Bull is arguably one of the best movies out there, but it is not arguable that raging bull proved a point that no other movie could.

  • Just...Beautiful.

  • also used in the closing sequence of godfather III by Coppola - beautiful

  • ray robinson made 2 accounts to dislike this

  • Ray clearly got 2 people down......

  • Two deaf people watched this video so far.

  • Academy: The Best Picture Oscar of 1980 goes to...

    Me: Raging Bull...

    Academy: ...Ordinary People!

    Public: WTF!?

  • beautiful music.

  • i just listened to this 100 times in row im not kidding

  • Between Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, De Niro is undoubtedly the best actor alive. Pacino makes interesting project choices though, while De Niro is sinking in bullshit these days (New Year's Eve, Little Fockers etc.)

  • Robert De Niro king of actors? Jack Nickelson said "When Marlon Brando died, every living actor moves up one spot." He's good, but no Brando.

  • @dodger40oz De Niro's performance wasnt always stunning, but what he did with Scorsese in Taxi Driver and Raging Bull can be compared to Brando's works. I wouldnt dare to say one is better than another, but they both share the top spots.

  • @Stalky24 And The Deer Hunter

  • Wonderful :)

  • i still dont know why raging bull lost best picture to ordinary people, who the fuck still watches that junk. raging bull is ranked 4th on afi's top 100 films. ordinary people will not make that list, not even in a million years

  • i love de niro, i love pacino... but nothing will ever top Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, in my opinion its probably one of the best Lead performances in a film

  • al pacino 7 oscars robert 5 ok?

  • @1979dimkar Since when was the number of Oscars/Academy Awards a measure of success? The Shawshank Redemption didn't receive any in 1994, and yet it is regarded as one of the greatest films ever to be made.

  • @93MickyD2 The Shawshank Redemption is, without a doubt, hugely overrated. It's amazing, but not close to the best movie of all time. Truth.

  • @audun0905 That's actually called an opinion, not a truth. Nonetheless, I was simply pointing out how number of awards should not be used to gauge how good a movie is.

  • I concur.

  • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • nice song

  • ok robert he is very good actor but AL PACINO IS THE GOD OF ACTORS

  • righteous kill l the ending scene bob stop the acting and beggining al stupids

  • scarface epic perfomance dog day serpico godfather trilogy scarecrow the ending scene de niro he is very good comedian actor

  • thanks boys for you r comments but al pacino is the god of actors so many perfect performances robert is after him as greece from usa

  • Possibly one of those films you could call Perfect, thank you Scorcese and De Niro.

  • this peice is just....amazing

  • What a sublime example of mans majestic spirit and dignity in the face of adversity!

  • Youtube needs a repeat button.

  • and for those that don't like my opinion I know De Niro and Pacino are completely different actors from Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis since De Niro and Pacino are mostly in gang movies while the other three are mostly in action movies I only included the other 3 actors as my ranking as my favorite actors NOT a comparison

  • "Go to one night. I took off my robe, and what did I forget to do? I forgot to wear shorts."

  • Robert De Niro is one of my favorite actors along with Al Pacino, Sylvestor Stallone,Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis

  • @Brownpride480 You've just compared Robert De Niro with Sly Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis? Shame on you.

  • @jackwardjw Sly stallone is very underrated though, I think he deserves more credit than arnie and bruce

  • @jackwardjw how is that comparing I just said they are all my favorite actors that's all

  • @Brownpride480

the fact that you included them altogether tells me that you're either a fucking idiot or you're just a fucking idiot...take your pick

  • @fuckyou434687 well fucken SORRY I was just giving out my honest opinion but no a bunch of u Youtubers are would just like to butt in and flip out about the other people opinion just cause u guys hate like you have the right tell us not to express it I mean there's a option to comment below the video for a FUCKING Reason

  • I just saw this music used in the sopranos as a tribute to Raging Bull and I had to come running back here.

  • I need help finding a song from the movie! It's played quite early in the movie, about 20-25 minutes in, when Jake is watching Vickie leaving in a car with Salvy (I think) at the entrance where lots of people seem to be brawling? Can anyone help me? I tried to go through the soundtrack list from Amazon using Youtube but so much random stuff keeps coming up in the results, I just can't find it :(

  • got so much bullshit with my life right now,but listening to this somehow makes me forget it all.

  • its such a beautiful piece of music. i cry without fail everytime i hear it..

  • ''Oh god.....Oh god no! OH GOD NO!''- I'm always reminded of this when I hear this song....

  • THIS IS MUSIC!!!!

  • A more inspiring tune from one of the BEST movies of the '80's Raging Bull.

  • @yogafan6500 THE best movie of the 80's

  • @ps3fan4life007 I know its sad and thats waht make a great movie. Now we don't see movies like this.

  • this is absolutely beautiful...i see a beautiful scene where a man and his wife, the love of his life, slowly dance. does anyone know any other pieces of music like this? perhaps you moviesoundtrack?? I would really like to listen to some more of this beautiful melody :)

  • great post.

  • How can you not like this? This is far beyond personal musical preferences.

  • whenever i hear this song it reminds me of Michael Corleone's pain and agony watching his daughter die and seeing a flashback of all the women he lost and dying alone at the end of The Godfather Part III. Great movie. Great song. Great performacne by Pacino.

  • same as the godfathers ending scene.very dramatic its lovely

  • this song makes me feel sad when michael corleone dies in his chair when he's old in part 3 of the godfather

  • best part begining to 1:27

  • When SHEER BEAUTY is coupled with SHEER GENIUS, an inspirational piece like this comes to life. Beautiful !!!!

  • Just another compliment to this great films legacy!!!

  • another scorcesse masterpiece huh everyone? great movie this one.

  • que finura y exelencia para hacer este tipo de obras maestras,,lo mejor...gracias

  • This movie doesn't get enough credit for its music. I'm serious. This ranks up there with The Godfather theme.

  • @Saintnick90 This piece is not original to Raging Bull like The theme from Godfather is to The Godfather.

  • Was this the music that was used in the big brother nominations a couple of days ago? (UK) Im sure it was :S

  • Hero's all of them, winners and Losers, all Heros . What person can step out into hell?

  • I love when they used this at the end of The Godfather 3 before Micheal dies

  • That's how life sounds

  • great film. Masterfully directed and acted.

  • Great movie and soundtrack.

  • when they played this score in the opening credits, it blew me away

  • Great music

  • Scorcese and DeNiro (and please Pesci, too) - and it can't get better than that!

  • this puts me to sleep, same with the once upon a time in america soundtrack

  • Beautiful song, I was listening to this song outside in early spring and the snow was falling so gentle. It seemed even more gentle with this brilliant music playing.

  • i like the little part from 1:23 to 1:26

  • Dont forget Travis bickle he played that character EPIC! Godbless De Niro KING OF ACTORS.

  • @SpartanBoy2K10 Agreed Travis bickle IMP best, most comprehensive character portrait of all time

  • Just got done watching this film, truly masterful in every way. The only way I can describe it is by saying that, for me, only two films, Raging Bull and Bad Lieutenant, produce such a reaction from the viewer. They just go quiet for hours while they take it all in. When I first watched it, I just stayed in my room all day, thinking about it. Unrelenting film work at it's best.

  • @MrWrestlemania21 Goodfellas?????? Raging Bull and Goodfellas gave me the same reaction........

  • De Niro's best performance for me is Johnny Boy in Mean Streets. Jake LaMotta is good too but not as good as Johnny Boy. "Disappointed Dunsky"

  • what about max cady in cape fear.amazing

  • that's amazing

  • Beautiful.

  • it was used in The Godfather III at the end.. so majestic..

  • yes i was just saying that to myself i loved the godfather trilogy

  • @PhakeSlug Majestic is exactly the right word!!

  • this is my favorite movie of all time robert deniro is brilliant and martin scorsese is just plain amazing

  • My favourite ever De Niro performance would have to be from The Deer Hunter, but I love him as Jake LaMotta as well. Both are highly emotional movies with great soundtracks.

  • Dont forget Casino lol

  • "MAO! *slap* MAO! MAO! *slap*"

  • qque hermosura, y una tristeza es un tema triste pero a la vez divino....

  • huh

  • @moviesoundtracks1 beautiful, and a saddes, is a sad theme but at the time divine :)

  • This is a fine musical score to listen to. It was recently used in the Director's Cut of Watchmen, where Hollis Mason was tragically killed with his own statue given to him by the Mayor of NY in gratitude.

  • Cool, I still haven't seen that film. I know that original version of "The End Is the Beginning of the End" by the Smashing Pumpkins was used on the trailers though

  • @redhurricane24 ohhhh!!!! thats where it came from, it sounded so familiar

  • @redhurricane24

Hollis Manson was a beast. This song was perfect for it!

  • @redhurricane24 Wow, I have to pick that up ASAP.

  • one of the musical pieces of all time. It's such a powerful score and fits this film perfectly. Thanks for uploading this.

  • No problem, the score starts off subtle, than goes into this loud piece, than finally goes back to being soft and subtle, just like the film.

  • @ChrisEsperProduction

You're right. One of the wonderfull pieces of all time.

    Greetings to you :)
