The pdx is really good I've played it several times.... I own the neck thru version... The neck thru version is definatly better.... But the pdx is one he'll of an axe for the money! After playing the pdx it made me want the neck thru version. I ordered the red one looks like a fararri! It plays great and has insane crushing tone! I'm not even a machine head fan I just love jacksons been playin them for 15 years. Out of all the guitars ive played over the years only ESP comes close and it still

I've played this guitar side by side with the Washburn James Malone and I'm going to buy the Washburn.The Washburn's neck is the fastest I've ever played and I like the look and feel better and the stock passive p/up's sound great!!This guitar is a great guitar to me so don't get me wrong but it is way over priced for what it is.And remember Paul is using better equipment here than most can afford.

Heres a list of some of the differences: Firstly it has a shorter body, with a bolt on neck, jackson pickups, jackson double locking trem, and it doesnt have switch craft blade and CRS volume pots... Wheras the REAL demmeltion has Neck -Thru, EMG 81, 60 actives, Floyde Rose Original trem and CRS po and Swichcraft blade....

Jackson have great guitar, but I hate the unfinished neck too. All Esp and Ltd guitars over 500$ have a finished neck ( I think ) and they have a good brutal/metal song with their EMG's ( the majority of Esp/Ltd ) but i Prefer the Blackouts or the Livewire of Seymour Duncan ( My favorites are the Dave Mustaine LiveWire ). If you search a great guitar, Esp/Ltd is the great way for you ( quality/price )

Usuaully a contract will state that the player plays nothing but the signature guitar in public for two years or something... Can restrict the artist... I know Alexi Laiho had his custom Jacksons stolen from him and asked Jackson for more... They told him it would be a year, so he went to ESP

with this guitar are you able to tune from say like standard tuning down to dropped B. I play in both tunings but my ibanez with a floyd rose cannot be down tuned from standard unless i tighten or loosen the strings in the back. Is that the same with this guitar?

that is the problem with ALL floating tremolos... thats why the professionals have other people to tune and restring their guitars.. :D this is one of the reasons im selling my floyd rose guitars and buying some with string trough or stopbar.
