of course their music is different then their previous albums. They are people, they grow up and change. They dont sing the same as they did 3 or 4 albums ago. This new album is great, and their song "entertainment" and "hero of war" are some of the best songs i've heard in my life. Rise Against, was and is, and always will be amazing.

I know that this album differs a lot from their previous records, but every song is awesome (except "The Dirt Whispered"). You won't find pearls like "Ready to Fall" or "Prayer of the Refugee", this is perhaps something to complain about. However, I know that "The Sufferer and the Witness" was (still is) a neat album, but comparing it to "Appeal to Reason" it doesn't deliver you the same "quality" and "depth" as they show it in their current masterpiece.

It does sound different, his singing has almost some sort of an accent now. He is not fully prenouncing his R's and some other letters at all like he used to which makes the vocals sound alot different. "Hai" instead of "hair" "hol up" instead of "hold up".

Hey I love this band with all my fucking heart haha, but come on.. they really do sound like any regular mainstream band, I love them for the way they send out their message, hardcore rock and punk.
