i was a sophmore in highschool when this album droped, back then lame niggaz was following master p, bird man & baby, juevanal and all that other bullshit, i mean it was alright compare to the lame shit now a days but back then i was following these niggaz, the whole wu-tang, gangstarr, pharcyde, hiero, dilated peoples, defari, atmosphere, etc...real hiphop w/ real mc's
a lot of people dont even know that rockwilder did this remix!!!! along with erick sermon!!! DEF SQUAD SOLDIERS ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!!!! and everything is played over,,,, no sample!!!! slave's "watching you" never had a instrumental.
I love EPMD. I this song is one of my fav's. Used to bump this in my 82 Delt when the tape came out. I got all of their tapes and CD's(even solo joints)
Oh wow!!! This reminds me of working in Kesington Sports centre...getting use to how West London did they thang! Kiss100 use to bang this during the daytime!!!
i heard surman jumped off the 4th floor af a balcony tried to commit suicide but failed back in the day..... this tune is gangsta reminds me of high school ~1~
@MNMLALIEN Erick actually got that line from Chuck D in Public Enemy's "Timebomb" (though it was "People go ooh and ahh...." at the start) I bought "Yo! Bum Rush the Show" after "Back In Business", and the light bulb hit. That's still a money line to this day. This would be one of the greatest songs to make an entrance to.
Whats the song they sampled from, i know its an oldie.

I thought this was the original version when I first heard this song on the radio back in '97.
Both versions are good, but this one is still "live & fresh" 'til this day.
