yes MrX, i've seen the documentary it is, because of the use of Freudian manipulation, I say, the cause of all the symbols in society, like the all american breakfeast eggs and bacon, was a created tradition that Edward Bernays is responsible for, not that I don't enjoy it.

It's interesting gabydewilde that you say "address real world problems than imaginary ones", because people are going in an increasingly imaginary nonexistent reality distracted from whats going on.

I love his speech, I'm all for using technology as much as we can but we shouldn't use it where we clearly cant and it should address real world problems rather than the imaginary ones. Explaining the positive sides is often so complicated that the negative implications are barely covered.

Orwell Rolls in his Grave is also an excellent documentary and features interviews with Mark Crispin Miller. I have both videos embedded on my web site, but you can of course just Google them.

To study the media watch BBC's Century of Self and read Edward Bernays book Propaganda.

It was originally published in 1928 and is his defense of the use of propaganda, but it explains it's use. It's rather disturbing. People need to look at who Edward Bernays is to understand what a big deal this is.

Mark Crispin Miller wrote the introduction for the reprint of Propaganda that is now available on Amazon.
