Its produced by BET they probably didnt air it because its a CARTOON not cuz they dnt wanna show black ppl in a positive non sterotypical light or whatever else evil motives u think they have look how successful Boondocks was and they havent even shown reruns of that nor Disney's Proud Family shit dnt just blame BET either TV1 is black owned so before yall go into conspiracy mode about wy it didnt air on any black television channels watch the damn intro it blatantly says BET NETWORKS PRESENTS
@09ACBrown yea u rite, by its airs on abc in australia, Bet got enough influence, to at least let the other black tv networks see it, shuggs it ur production u better show it. Austriala, is only a prt of the world, And we need this more in the u.s. and also in africa, i think its a fear if a black uprising, u kno.
white Americans, white europeans, or any nation who thinks like the racist great great great grand father...can't see a us black nation being advanced.
Love the politics of this show. Exactly what is happening in Egypt, and the middle east. The attempt to overthrow a regime by external forces as suppose to letting them work out their own problems. So deep, this show, so deep!
@JJAB1 Listen you imbecile! I don't care if you don't agree with my comment. You think you have the gumption to insult people you don't even know? You truly betrayed your lack of intelligence. Well done!
This cartoon is so beautifully done; I still cannot get over it! The animation reminds me sort of like Samurai Jack, but done more seriously and way better!
I've watched the first episode, now this one. So far, the opening is the show's only draw. The writer depends too much on expository dialogue. Clunky and overbearing, but perhaps it gets better...
Well,as a White with Racial Stockholm Syndrome, I for one welcome Blacks to have cartoons that are totally racist against Whites, and with the deliberate intent of pissing on them. After all, remember all those White cartoons that did vice versa? Like........ummmm.........well,you know,uuuuh...........wait.........no,tha's not it............ummmmm............oh,yeah,there was......no.......you know, something tells me I've been lied to into feeling sorry for Blacks..............
@Substantive64 first of all cartoons have historacly been racist early Bugs Bunny cartoons made fun of a wide variety of cultures Including Blacks,Native Americans,Japinese,Arabs ect.
@stiks3784 The only racist thing I noticed was the fact that they would not air the Tv show at all. Black Panther shows a positve black character that isnt rapping, selling drugs, or in a gang and I feel that its...awkward that BET wouldnt show it.
@renzokuken7777 The only reason I can see for them not showing it is because, well, it's pretty violent. Like 12 people got viciously impaled in the first few minutes of the first episode. Kids shows have violence, but normally not THAT much violence.
Which is a shame, because it's a fucking radtits show. I'm gonna buy it on DVD when it comes out.

Kids shows have violence, but normally not THAT much violence. Good for us adults, but TV execs generally don't go for it.

@renzokuken7777 The only thing I really didn't like about this show is Black Panther holding a fist-fight tournament to determine leadership. No society on Earth does this. Chimps do, but not humans. Beat up the alpha male to become the new alpha.
@LordBifford I don't know of any who still do today (perhaps in some isolated villiages in jungles or islands?) But it was certainly like this in the past, especially in warrior societies. Just look at Europe: It used to be that if you wanted to be king you got an army, killed the king, and took over the castle. Even earlier, you could challenge the king for the throne. Or, if you wanted someone's land or property you fought him, winner take all.
@tehSnark There's a great deal of difference between overthrowing the king with your army and the king willingly handing over his crown after a losing ritual duel.
@LordBifford the ritual duel thing is way more sensible for a start. it means they can settle their differences mano-et-mano rather than having hundreds of citizens killed
@renzokuken7777 What is stranger still is that Reginald Hudlin was writing this show at the time, and he was also president of Black Evil Network (best episode of Boondocks, in my opinion). But his writing is sub par, and sales of the Black Panther book is pretty bad under his writing skills. I prefer Christopher Priest, to be honest. His interpretation of Black Panther rocked.
@RushInNinja I don't doubt that, as a matter of fact I've seen a lot of African martial arts, none look exactly like Copoeira. But I understand it's for the sake of art since Copeira is a very pretty and effective discipline.
I like the version of the Panther in Avengers EMH better

@renzokuken7777 Perhaps if felt that some of the subject matter was too mature? Or they felt the style of animation wouldn't be popular enough?
Or the fact that BET is owned by Viacom? Yeah, it was probably Viacom. :\
