  • i dont care if people snag most of the times if they are there to limit out there going to no matter what. plus the salmon die anyways they should make a snagging season for the late salmon season when you catch the white ones for smoking.

  • @Jackdaniels3333 If the fish have already laid their eggs then snagging makes more sense. However, if you talk to anybody who has studied the ecosystem for any length of time they will argue that when the fry hatch they need the nutrients of the dying salmon to thrive on until they reach a decent size, and hopefully make it to the ocean.

  • @paganwulff Yeh i dont want them snagged before they spawn; however, im sure there is plenty of dead ones floating around from the 1st and 2nd runs =). most of the salmon turn into catfish and sturgen food lol.

  • The Indians are netting fish by the thousands.... Place regulations on them and yes good point try to pressure keeping first fish caught if!!!! Snagging really is that much of an injury risk .... Point being its just another way for the government to write a damn ticket

  • what a shame big red chinooks too , might as well just dipnet them i cant beleive how stupid the dept of fisheries really are what a joke .

  • you shouldnt even be allowed to salmon fish that far up river, and especially not with baits or spin gear. tats just disgusting and a perfect example of missmanaging a wildlife system. unlike the Atlantic salmon, these salmon will die after spawning making them much more delicate and easy to kill. if you cant catch a non respawning salmon within the first 10miles of where the river meets the ocean you shouldnt be ale to catch them at all. jsut makes sense

  • Salmon absolutely WILL eat when they are up river. I know this to be a FACT because they have swallowed my bait many times.

  • All salmon fishing in rivers should be limited to flys

  • why would you ever keep an almost spawned out salmon

  • I've snagged fish before, carp, bass, trout, you name it. The difference is those were all accidents. That's the way snagging should be, an unfortunate accident. All snagged fish should be released. I've never kept a snagged fish and neither should anyone else. It's unsportsmanlike and just plain cheap.

  • It is still a huge problem here in MI. Not enough CO's in the rivers to arrest or write tickets. They are indiscriminate about the species, they just want to snag whatever they see.

  • I'm finding these vids interesting. Been salmon fishing my whole life, but in the ocean. Snagging to me is just an unfortunate thing. Didn't know it was a way to catch fish as well.

  • alot of ppl that snag fish are not real fishermen they are worthless ppl that cant catch a real fish by the mouth low lifes

  • @steelheadstocker i agree there is no sport in snagging, and will openly say it will never be my style, watch my vids and theres clear proof i am a sportsman, but the problem is rooted far deeper, overpopulation in our country is the problem, too many people, not enough jobs = people starving = people snagging food, .... not fisherman snagging fish, alot of people i see snagging are starving, this doesn't make it right, but its a problem we've created

  • I guess the reason people think snagging is OK is because they equate fishing to hunting and then thinking hooking fish legit and snagging them to just be the same thing.

  • i live on the north fork... i use bobber and eggs or drift eggs. sometimes drift yarn

  • Depressing...

  • That's why it's called "fishing" not catching or snagging!!!

  • When retards are trying to snag fish, they can injure 15 fish before they even land one.... Possibly killing fish for nothing. That's why it is illegal. If you don't have the patients to fish like a real man or woman then sell your rod, reel, and all your snag equipment and buy an already pre packed ready to eat legally killed fish.

  • you can keep them in the gill plate up there

  • Salmon don't eat when they are in they rivers to spawn? Hmm, okay your a fucking idiot. Funny how that rumor got started after snagging became illegal. If you know how to fish them they will bite. But some of these fucks have no skills. Pretty pathetic. Try salmon fishing with a fly rod for fish that are in the holes and not on the gracel. Ropers.

  • fished there before

  • it takes skill to catch salmon and rainbow trout, trust me. this is first of all wrong, and also its effortless, skilless, and dumb

  • These fish need to get snag just like said below they won't eat at this time. They return to their birth place and all they do is spawn. It is completely legal! Every dam video of salmon snagging has this bullshit saying it illegal and that's not right ect. Learn the rules of fishing this type of fish and move on. If not try using bait to catch them lmao you probably will end up snagging one sense their so many. And they do die after the spawning is over so would you rather have something go to

  • For the record in Lake Michigan it is legal to snag salmon and for good reason. The salmon return to harbor where they were released , this is where they spawn and then shortly thereafter die..... The Spawn "the eggs" Generally DO NOT Survive. Snagging these fish which generally have no will to eat but only to spawn is ethical in this instance when taken for food this resource would otherwise go to waste.

  • they need to stop making people release fish that are snagged and are going to die if they need to make every one keep the first legal fish landed no matter where it was hooked

  • @leland91 lol their tough i think the fish can handel a hook. jesus christ your an idiot

  • I've been out fishing a dozen times this year...haven't seen anyone from Fish and Wildlife.

  • I lived along the banks of the Clakamas for 3 years and never in my life have I ever seen such poor sportsmen.I would claim that at least 75% of everyone on the river is breaking the law or at least showing poor etiquite.

  • Those tags could be for 4 fish per year at specific locations. I want you to know I am on your side... I and my group are on your team . Please google "Oregon Anglers Alliance". That is me... I do intentionally cause debate ,,, But I dont ever want a fight... If we cant unite,,, the gill netters and the likes win..

  • Perhaps you misunderstand the intention of my comment. I certainly do not ondone snagging nor will you find me among the dregs of snaggers. My point is , when these yahoos go to a meat hole like can be found on the Wilson, The Trask, The Nehalem, Big Creek, Eagle Creek, The clackamas and many mor streams... Maybe... Just maybe,,, we should let them take those snagged fish and get the hell out of the hole. Perhaps even(and I think this is an excellent idea) ODFW could sell SNAG TAGS... CONT...

  • @cunninghamwendell sell em at the old bowling alley hole on the clack durring the coho run lol

  • Cunningham, I don't think that you have thought this through. A. I have never met a person that liked gill-netting -- or thought it was okay. Like most people I believe that gill-netting is wrong. B. Direct me to the site that says close to 90% of catch and release fish die of exhaustion - therefore it's only a ruse by Fish & Game to generate revenue. C. It appears that you think that snagging game fish (yanking a huge treble hook through the water) is ok. If that's true, you should be fired.

  • @paganwulff

Those statistics are wrong. However,90% of SALMON that are caught and released die before they are able to spawn.

  • @heyitsryanb

MY ASS! Dude, i have caught so many kings I have snagged and release live fine it all just matters on where you snag them. Usually they only die if you snag them in the head or you open there stomach. Learn your shit before u post bro.

  • @DeraySEXtonn

Really? So you sit around waiting to see if they spawn? You're a fool! I am quoting valid PROVABLE statistics.

SPAWN! They die before they SPAWN! Read it again...........you get it this time? Are you still thinking I said they die before they are released? I'll wait....................caught up now? Good. I'm sure you feel foolish now, but don't. You wouldn't be the first.

  • @heyitsryanbyes i do actually i have3 caught the same king over and over befiore and pinks and they usually already have spawned by then. Don't be stupid man I know alot more about king salmon then u do and im 14.

  • @DeraySEXtonn

Thats funny...same king over and over. Yeah ok kid, you're a real biologist.

  • @heyitsryanb

Dude, i can see the fish i catch... and i can tell where iv snagged them man dont be stupid.

  • @heyitsryanb ahaha dude by your logic, then we should be able to snag out 90% of all the salmon in the rivers, and the salmon runs would do be dandy right?

  • 87% of ALL catch and release fish die of exhaustion. Do your research before you jump on the "HONORABLE" band wagon. Snagging is illegal for one reason and one reason only... It generates ticketing money. .Why is it O.K. for GILL_NETTERS to completely close off stream mouths.. ILLEGALLY taking large amounts of fish, But a crime for a person to finish the killing they started when the hook was set?? P.S. I am a legal assistant that works with the DPT of Fish ans Wildlife.

  • @cunninghamwendell I guess we know who's one of the snaggers on the Lewis River, cough Cunningham cough.

  • I used to scorn the snag fishers on this river. Fished this spot just below fish hatchrery for 25 yrs. All the fish are Silvers (Coho) as the govt replaced the native Sockeye back in the 1970's. As they belive Coho can make it up fish ladders beter...Anyway. At the Lewis River Fish Hatchery. They only harvest enough eggs and sperm to fill a limited number of runways ( fish ponds) The rest of the fish are picked up by Pacfic Sea Foods from Seattle. They pay the govt. .30 cts a Lb. and process.

  • Stupid people? You fit the profile, VITIC! If snagging were suddenly legal then in a matter of two -- to three seasons the salmon runs in the pacific northwest would vanish -- as they have in China, which used to have bountiful salmon runs -- but no more. Stupid people have a lack of foresight. These people should be deported, not to another country, but another galaxy, where they won't stink up the place- people like VITIC, an ignorant fool who would pave Yellowstone park if he had the chance.

  • Stupid people create religion out of anything, even fishing. Angry, blood boiling, outraged -- just because some lawmakers created a nonsensical law about snagging. Tomorrow, someone will create a law prohibiting drinking milk and the same people will be spying on milk drinkers and being "outraged". Idiots.

  • Wtf? Salmon dnt bite the hook? Are u fucking kidding me. You can catch all species of salmon legit. Wether spawn mode or not.reds and coho are the toughest but ive hooked both legit in mouth. flossed or not who fuckin cares. I dnt care if people snag, just dmt say they dnt bite or you have to snag em to catch em.

  • @rtroutbumm

Just because you got a legit hook in the mouth doesn't mean it willingly took the hook in the mouth. No, reds especially don't strike or feed once they're in freshwater. Silvers will strike a little more, but maybe one out of a hundred will.

99% of the reds caught are snagged illegally in the tail or body or snagged legally in the mouth.

  • those fish aren't even any good to eat!

  • ok iv heared over 1,000,000 reasons about snagging, i try to catch salmon in the mouth. it depens in certian rivers the cohos bite sum they dont. in the clackamas for example the cohos raaarrrelllyy bite. but in the sandy not fishing crowded holes u can catch coho any way u want and ittle probably be in the mouth. everybody has there different reasons. just keep fishing and if u happen to floss a silver, fuck it, if its near the mouth kill it...

  • Good work Jessie....the fisherman need to be snagged in the lip and drug off the bank .

  • @guzzzle

Yeah, ok, I guess we should through commercial fishermen into the nets and drag their asses in the ocean till they die too, right? Where's your outrage about them?

Where's your outrage about what ranchers do to cattle? Maybe we should take bolt guns to them as well.

  • Comment removed

  • And they don't even have the courtesy to club them over the head before they put them in the bag. Figures. The rivers around here are almost all closed when the salmon are running because so many people did this crap.

  • @pilatunes

No, the salmon #s are low in the Pac. NW because of over-harvesting, pollution, and habitat destruction. The method of harvest is irrelevant, what matters is the harvest count for a given fishery. In any given fishery, the commercial guys catch the bulk of the fish, not the sport anglers. In AK, it's 80-to 99%, depending on the species.

Because you're in the Pac. NW, you have no idea that the only way to catch a red (sockeye) is by snagging it. They don't feed in freshwater.

  • I snag kokanees in colorado.. then i bleed em out with my Buck 119 special and cook em up nice with some pineapple coconut spicy marinade. Friends and family gotta eat. I'm talkin Gross Reservoir. If you're hungry it is not unethical to catch food using any means necessary to get your nutrients! This is why humans are smart!

  • @Ljcm9 No, smart humans can trick the fish into biting, even if they are not feeding, I do it all the time with steelhead. . .

  • @o56kid

Steelhead are not salmon and are much more willing to strike lure or take the bait than are salmon, especially the reds.

  • @fubecabr Same goes for king and coho salmon, they are easy to catch if you have what they are interested in chomping down on. out of aggression..

  • @o56kid

Kings will strike and are more aggressive. Coho can strike too, but not as much as Kings. Reds almost never strike. That's my experience in Southcentral AK. The Kenai Kings are so damned big and strong that it's hard to land them from the bank because they just run downstream and take all your line and finally snap it.

  • @fubecabr I thought I had hooked a 20 lb monster last winter, turned out it was foul hooked. I swear that sometimes they are so excited when they go for the gear they miss it and hook themselves right near the tail fin turned out to be a very very pretty native hen, god that fish was fat and wide, just amazing. most fish are wore the heck out where I fished last winter, north east oregon. . It will be southern coastal oregon now, really looking forward to having kings a bike ride away!

  • @fubecabr you should try some bigger line Berkley big game perhaps? never liked braid but that could be your answer

  • @o56kid

I was using 40 lb braid and it snapped it like I can snap sewing thread.

  • @fubecabr why just 40? if your gonna use braid, use some shit like 150 or 200, it still wont be anything like mono half it's strength. 40 lb braid is like 12 lb mono diameter wise. that 150 is like 40 lb big game imo diameter wise. you will get pulled in and toted down OR up stream with that stuff on your level wind!

  • @torotoker all depends on state regulations here in oklahoma there are few places u can snag legally an it can only be for spoonbill an non game fish such as capr gar drum buffalo fish of that nature an you can only use barbless hooks

  • I dont understand why hooking a fish in the body is different than hooking it in the mouth. Im all for environmental conservation and regulating hunting and fishing. I just don't what the difference is if someone hooks a fish that they are going to kill and eat i presume in the stomach as opposed to the mouth. (as long as they're in season and under their limit)

  • @ToroToker the differance is when hooked in the mouth the fish bites the hook when hooked in the body you force the hook inth the fish

  • @LaCatHunter So basically its just too easy to snag them??? And is this outlawed or is it just unethical/unfair??

  • I make it a point to educate snaggers. It really makes my blood boil to see this and I don't mind taking the extra steps to teach them a lesson. ;)

  • There's a lot of ignorant people posting in here. Do some research before you post people. Im with paganwuff!

  • who gives a shit, there is sooooo fucking many!!!

  • they die anyway and snagging is good too dureing the fall

  • A few people have claimed that it is ok to snag if the fish has spawned already. How do you know if the fish has spawned or not? Are you able to target spawned out fish while staying away from the one's that still need to reproduce? Are you snagger's just that good? I love how someone had to throw Obama into this argument. Talk about getting over yourself. Are you just that cool because you didn't vote for him?

  • Poachers should be hanged in a public square.

  • it's all about chances, anyway here is what happen where i once live, in a small town in Wisconsin, in the 90's there was a ton of white bass , but as soon as people heard about it , they came from Minnesota, greenbay, eua claire and who know where else but within 1 year (that same year) the white bass was totally gone, for at lest 5 to 6 years then once more the white bass was back but this time they were only the small one, again over fishing and poof all gone.

  • Seriously, who gives a shit? You catch a fish you catch a fish.

  • i hate the fuckin out of staters that come here. i mean holly shit in oregon weve beem fishing here in our rivers for the double-didgets, easily. Like these people on the Lewis river snag fish all the time. i was there yesterday and have been fishing the Lewis, Cowlitz, Sandy, Clackamas, and Washougal river since i was 3 years old. people in oregon and washington know wut their doing. We fuck shit up... im not saying im the best in the world, but im pretty damn Good.

  • fish killers.. the salmon dont bite because they dont need to.. they know theyre going to die but they need to lay eggs first.. and your limit doesnt mean come back every day and get more.. whatever is in your freezer is prolly 100% more than your limit.. wait 10 years and you wont be able to catch anymore wild ones theyll all be hatchery salmon.. twice the size.. half the fight.. FUCKIN HOMOS

  • i go there for the jacks, its a guaranteed 5 limit, i hate wastin my time on the damn big ones, ive even tried to snag before and that shit aint easy!!! haha, people can do what they want, im not the one payin the ticket when they get caught so its none of my buisness, lol

  • Would shooting a fish be ethical? Hunting with a Spear? Would bow fishing be ethical? How about netting? People shoot deer, bear, cougar with guns and bows... and don't even eat the meat, just for their hides. At least the snaggers are in it for the meat. Would you rather be hooked in the mouth and throat or arm or leg?

  • @switter1999 i bet you voted for obama too huh. get over your self pal... people hunt to support their families. people snag because they are trash. if you want to shoot animals out of season or not follow what is posted i.e. anlter restrictions, fawn/calf rules...then you are not a hunter you are a poacher. if you want to snag fish to "eat" i suggest you take your $30.00 for your license $50.00 for rod/reel and $20.00 for tackle and go buy groceries. these chumps give outdoorsman bad reps.

  • Lol your all fucking retarded. What i am sick off is people from out of state coming to new york to fish our world class steel head and all they do is steel shit. Get fucked up. And act like its the west coast. Dont get me wrong we love your money But god people are stupid. Especially Pa lol. Dumb hicks.

  • Snagging runs rampant on my local river during salmon season. It's illegal here, but I never seem to see any fish/wildlife rangers around. It's amazing how many people think salmon don't bite when they are in the river. Even chinooks bite just fine as long as you know how to run a bait past their face, and coho will strait up chase spinners like a trout. The snaggers make fishing impossible though, the fish won't bite after being wound up by hooks and weights constantly jerking through river.

  • The Colorado Department of wild life allows it during the spawning months.

  • The screen names for the snaggers sums it all up!

  • Rod and reel salmon fishing only been around 300 years or so and nets sticks and harpoons been around thousands. Hypocracy allow Indian and comercial fishing with nets and then villafy someone just wanting some fish for their table they snagged. State supported racism Indians get 50% of the fish and they are 2% of the population

  • Snagging is not unethical it is illegal but its all bunch of cat and mouse. Salmon rarely strike up river the only way besides snagging is to floss them let your line fall into their mouths so its hooked legal you can do it right infront of a game warden and get away with it. But its BS. But firmly believe in letting all wild fish go and only keeping hatchery clipped and for steelhead fishing the legal way is the most effective they bite.

  • this guy is stupid. everyone there was snagging salmon. when salmon are red like that they are in spawning mode and dont eat. only way to catch them is snagging. does he think its ethical to snag only in the mouth?

  • DriftfishNW...how can you possibly attempt to call bullshit on some one you have never met. my freezer is presently full of fresh and smoked atlantics, that my people and myself WILL be eating till april. you are more than welcome to chec in on me next year during the spring and observe myself and a select few others berrating those who attempt to abuse this right, as there is only one spot that we snagg in sault st. marie, and we try to keep it a decent one. Oh yeah Ojibwe, turtle clan

  • I would just like to say that snagging in the south is way different and people thinks its the same down here but catfish and spoonbill get behind dams to feed. a lot of people think its illegal which in some states it is but others it isnt. Catfish snaggin is perfectly fine and it doesnt do damage to populations like this does. Salmon and Catfish are 2 different fish

  • i live in Alaska.

    i eat fish.

personally, i think "sport" fishing is the real joke.

why the FUCK would you catch fish and then throw them right back where you got 'em.... oh, yea.....for the "sport " of it.

    give me a fucking break...please.

depending on where you are, when it is, and what species....... snagging is legal...... snagging is easy............. and snagging fills my freezer.

do all you pansies also shit on people who dipnet?

what about native fishwheels? are they scum too?

  • @fuelerdog um fishwheels were used when the population was waaay lower then it is now and yeh when you get 50 60 familys at the mouth of kasilof or on the kenai were a family can keep up to 40ish fish yeh thay damages population..and no i dont beleieve that dip netters are scum at all,i just believe that it should regulated and watched closely, second sport fishing is good for some fish like and steelhead and such like that..and snagging is only legal in like 3 area's in alaska..seward,

  • @fuelerdog homer, and whitter i believe..but i dont catch to realse for anything but trout and steelhead.

  • @503armyguard totally legal in Valdez

  • @fuelerdog Go make some more "sweet potato wedges that french guys will love" you ass.

  • in alaska its combat fishing boys and i knock snaggers out

  • @503armyguard youre a pussy. come to indiana and say that shit fag. By the way, the army is where the military sends all the stupid fucks.

  • Thums up if u think Megan Fox is hot!

  • Hatchery Fish dont get to have sex lol they get shocked and gutted lol

  • ill do what i want, bottom line.

  • @stillrob420 Ur the man

  • @stillrob420 ur the man

  • you can't use the argument that snagging before they lay eggs prevents the replenishment of the species. What you can say is that any fishing before they lay their eggs may reduce the replenishment of the species. Snagging is no different than hooking by mouth. Both result in the fish being removed from the system. One could argue that snaggers take more fish than traditional bait methods and this may be so. If it's illegal you shouldn't do it regardless of the arguments.

  • @paganwulff I agree with that but the indians line there nets on the columbia river its a wonder any of them make it up

  • they die any way we should b allowed 2 snag

  • you can't fix stupid...nice work guys

  • you can't fix stupid... good work guys

  • u snag fish where i live, especialy if they havent spawned yet u my friend are not making it back home safe. if u keep them all from spawning wtf u gonna catch next year u dumb fuken bitches. Fish dont magicly appear in water they have to hatch from the eggs which u kill by taking all the females home before they spawn. This shit is not a rocket science.

  • ok pagawulf

i understand your point on the laying of the salmon eggs but have you ever been salmon fishing before?

    they dont bite the hook

there is this theory that they will bite the hook if it gets too close to them but then again the hook is close enough for them to bite if they are snagged

  • @arrowheadcrazy

yes they bite i have cought many u have to use the right bait. They mostly bite when they first enter the rivers thats when they are most agresive.

  • snaging is fun to do to bluegils

  • @redneck01mossyoak

haha how do ui do this?

bluegill only get like 5 in

  • Salmon/Steelhead Snaggers are pieces of sh

    it.

  • snagging is fun

  • terrible. people think a snagged fish is a catch, because they had to fight to bring it in. sorry but it isnt and the real fisherman out there think you look like and asshole. where i go at if people see you snagging, they dont tollerate this stuff, they will get on your case, and if you dont throw it back then the game commision will be on there way. be honest when you fish, dont snag and keep. i catch and release every fish i snag or get legally, i am in it for the sport no the food.

  • learn fly fishing?

  • is he a man of integrity?well i guess not. that is hilarious

  • I snagged a 5lb salmon and released it! And because it got snagged it never gave me a good fight! Sucked to cuz it was my very first salmon i ever caught! But I had to get a picture tho!

  • Snaggers suck, if they'd spend the time to learn how to fish they wouldn't have to snag. Let alone work so hard setting the hook every 5 seconds, every cast. Sorry losers, sorry the rest of us have to share rivers with inbred idiots like these guys.

  • Comment removed

  • snaged or not, why the hell would anybody want to keep one of those nasty lookin boots anyways. those fish in the video looked like they were half dead!!

  • This guys heart is in the right place, but if you really want to catch the criminals all you need to do is go to the Skokomish river and watch the Indians net thousands of them, gut 'em for the eggs, and throw the bodies away for the seagulls to eat.

  • This is true about Indians. But we can't say anything because they are natives. Not saying this is wrong on all levels. We have the same problem on the Puyallup. I see them doing the same thing and it sickens me. Coming from the people that supposedly uses the whole animal and wastes nothing right?

  • @islandhammer save a walleye spear an indian!

  • i fish the lewis river everyday i know alot of the people in the video (snaggers and non-snaggers) i dont snag but i do cast at the fish that i can see moving up river. and you can blame the wdfw (washington department of fish and wildlife) for lack of enforcement, they only have one warden on that section of the river (who i am good friends with) and he's doing the best he can do short handed.

  • this is crap all these people bitching i bet if they accidentally or hell even purposely snagged a world record zero that's right absolutely none would release it....get off your moral high horse...

  • its not about morals or respect its called the law it is illegal to snag fish and you are suppose to release snagged fished and if you are caught doing so you get a hefty little fine, but most good fishermen have resepct for the fish they are fishing for i let go a 11+ pound pink that i hooked in the back this year

  • Surplus or not. Snagging is illegal. If you intentionally snag a fish, you have broken the law and should be prossecuted.

  • -- WHen Salmon die , their bodies roting in the water create nutrients for certain type of larvae , which later on will provide food for little Salmon when they hatch ,,,

  • The FISH will ALL die ANYWAY!

    Shoulder to Shoulder fishing?

    FISHERMEN call it COMBAT FISHING!

  • if you cant fish the right way dont fish at all and coho dureing oct and nov do bite it just harder to get them to bite and when you do catch a fish in the mouth trust me you feel alot more accomplished. so dont snag its wrong and its a 540 dollar ticket

  • thats unethical sportsmanship.

  • Snaggers are losers. Here in BC a fish foul hooked (even in the head) is an illegally hooked fish. And must be released gently and quickly ! Yet you still see this practice happen daily ! Folks snag em and then remove the roe and toss the rest in the bush ! When I see this I RECORD PLATE #s. AND REPORT SNAGGERS TO THE DFO !!!

  • check my salmon snagging vid

  • Surplus hatchery fish are ment to be harvested. Thats what they are there for. not just to look at and say oooh aaaaaaaah. Tasty Tasty

  • What a sport......NOT! there are many ways a salmon will EAT bait. Learn how to fish!! I can't believe how many people defend this kind of behavior. We shouldn't be teaching this to our children. If you really liked fishing you would preserve this for future generations. This fish are one of the greatest miracles of nature.

  • the fish at 1:20 looks legal to me, in the rivers around here anywhere in the head is legal

  • Its snagging season in fall right. Don't know where you are but most places have a snaggin seasons in the fall and it looks like fall.

  • @smartguy104 you need to check the regs smartguy104. No where in the northwest is snagging allowed for sportfish. Maybe not so smart after all eh?

  • Luvashy03, those salmon are there to reproduce. As far as those fish dying and floating down stream, That's the way it is suppose to be. They play a very important part in the river system. Do some research before you open your mouth you fucking loser.

  • LUVASHY, if the salmon laid the eggs first, so that the salmon population could be replenished, then it wouldn't matter to many if they were then snagged. But if they are snagged before they lay their eggs, then that is the highway to salmon extinction --- like in China. China used to have salmon runs -- but no more, because of greed and stupidity -- because of people like LUVASHY03, who will never get it. They are souless. They are the walking dead, pretending to be fishermen.

  • @paganwulff I agree, I just cant understand why somebody cant understand something so simple !? if they lay their eggs AND THEN they are snagged it has no impact, but a snagger has no way of choosing does he now?

  • @paganwulff yup people need to do there part since now we have to compensate for the damm chinks out there. just disgusting they should be shot for the shit they do to the salmon (and any other fish on the planet)

  • @paganwulff i snagg fish all the time...hooking the fish is hooking the fish it really doesnt matter...i hate people like you who get in people buisness...faggot

  • @paganwulff ok but what if you catch them legally b4 they spawn? what you want us to do throw them back?

  • @paganwulff lol haha who gives a flying fuck about china

  • @luvashy03 Well lets see, if you snag em before they spawn, we lose fish. It's your right to take a limit, but dead salmon a drift are part of the eco system as much as when they are alive. During and after their spawning run they are a huge food source for all sorts of animals. Its people like you who ill eventually add up to the extinction of wild salmon.

  • @luvashy03 as posted below yes that is the case... but its unethical what if there were a whole group of pike ...would you snag them... and yes salmon can hit lures in rivers out of aggresion

  • @luvashy03 You just don't know how to fish. Foul hooking and keeping it is against the law. Your just a poor sport cunt

  • @luvashy03 Salmon spawning in the river don't die because they refuse to eat. A salmons organs shut down and atrophie begins once a salmon hits the fresh water.

It is easy to catch salmon, in the mouth, with a small piece of wool. Try using a rod with a softer tip , it will definitely help you FEEL the difference between bottom and a fish. A foul hooked fish is a boring fight.

    Tight lines.

  • @luvashy03 the point in the movie is thier snagging illegally, and no thats not why salmon die..thats how thay are programed to do shit.and if a fish floats down stream it either 1 gets eaten by other fish 2 gets eaten by birds and bears 3 washs up on shore and become plant food..so weres the waste in that my friend?

  • @luvashy03 buddy, if that's your way of thinking youre retarded. salmon swim upstream to SPAWN, you know, lay eggs? their dead bodies give the river eco system vital nutrients that are not only absorbed by the stream side vegetation but feed the fledgling salmon. salmon aren't there for your eating convenience, do we really have to kill and eat everything in nature? ever hear of catch and release?

  • We call it snigging in england.I do it when the fish are there,i also set gill nets, use click hooks & when the river is low hands.I love it.

  • fucker

  • get a life you sad twat.

  • no your the sad twat because you can't fish

  • Your not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you?

  • oh fuck you retard, jeez ur one of the problems, and why the state has to make the rules in the first place! cant wait to write you a ticket fucko

  • Nice video, there are not enough DFO's out there. Ive seen snaggers and called in and it takes them 6- 24 hours to respond. I caught a guy today and the warden came right away. Snaggers are faggets who have no fishing skill at all.. and to all you natives, fuck you, get a job to feed your dumb poor family. AND btw!!!! Ive seen natives fish.. they put down a shopping cart and build a wall around it so they all get trapped into it. Learn how to fish for real or ill fucking kill you all..

    fags

  • @CapilanoPro thats why you floss its totally legal

  • snag them sunsabitches.. gotta eat! stuff is like $15 a pound in the store..

maybe you damn tree huggin liberals out in Oregon and Washington leave everything well enough alone, people wouldnt have to snag fish to feed their families..

you should be glad the fish still come to that disaster of a state at all..
