  • I dnt know y but u remind me of latoya Jackson by the way u talk.lol u pretty doe nd Thankzs I never knew anything about this.

  • Thank you! & Mom, too! A great tutorial - easy to see, too with the contrasting hair colors. Just learned about tree braiding and I like the technique..esp. since it's faster than other ones.

  • Brilliant.. Only downside I see is when you take the hair out you should make sure the hair is the extension hair not the actual clients hair.

    Love it.. Keep youtubing x

  • Damn you fine! And I love your accent. Lol...#thatisall

  • How many bags of bulk hair did you use for this hairstyle?

  • i noticed that when ur mom was doin the tutorial she pulled out some of the wig's hair along w/ the weave. Did she do that accidentally or is your hair actually going to be pulled out as well?

  • so i love your head wrap style! =D

i was wondering if you can make a video on your head wrap styles if you can please? i would love to see other styles like this!

  • Hi there talentedangel... I have been getting tree braids since the early 2000's in the ATL.... I grew my hair into natural and tree braids were great for protecting my hair while I grew the perm out. I want to start doing my own tree braids... I'm pretty good at twists, but I have a hard time cornrowing my own hair... any suggestions? By the way.... I do micros in the back of my head... base of neck, so I can pull my hair up!!! Hope to hear from someone on cornrowing my own hair. Thanks!!!

  • How do you I braid my own hair into tree braids? Someone else has been doing it since the early 2000's.... it's hard for me to cornrow my own hair all the way to the back and pull the hair out... any suggestions of doing my own?

  • great tutorial.... been wearing tree braids since the early 2000's.... while letting my perm grow out into natural... The thing is, I've never done my own, but would like too... it's difficult for me to cornrow my own hair all the way to the back.... any suggestions on doing your own instead of having someone else braid them?

  • u remind me of Janet Jackson

  • thank you - thank you - thank you !!! Many Greetings from Gernany :)) Great Video!!

  • It was very clear and informative.

  • 5:00 Isnt the hair gonna cum out different lengths?

  • ahhh i see lol

  • u should feather the front

  • so if you keep the scarf on your hair really tight, is it gonna lay down?

  • damn u fine ass hell baby!

  • how do u stop them from shedding everytime i get tree braids theres always shedding and i think it might be the person who does them. is that true?

  • I wish I could grow out my hair as long as yours. But my hair is permed too much and pretty much ALL my hair is split eneds. I found a website that said how to growth the hair and it includes cutting it. ;s

  • Your hair turned out great i think i am going to have to divide my hair up like you did since my hair is so thick.

Ok I know this is off topic but you remind me of Samanth Mumba.

  • Tree braiding, my favorite

  • 5 . IF you did do knots the easiest way to get them out is to use a seam ripper ... i swear by it on my micro braids all you do is slide it right thru the knot ( be sure when ur knotting the hair that you only use weave in the knot and not the natrual hair ... well thts all ... keep up the good work ... ps ive heard that you can use tht "cheap" braiding hair and wear it loose but i have just been tooooo scared to try it but it actually looks nice on you how does it maintain?

  • cont. 3. also as u braid down you should be adding hair (which u probably did on ur hair = ) ) i just didnt see it n the demo 4. when your taking the hair out u should separate the natural hair from the weave , bc it helps if the textures dont match, it protects the natural , the style last longer , and it just tend to look better = ) .. and

  • Hey ... love the video ... just a heads up/FYI/ hot tip or whatever you want to call it = ) .... I love in Columbus Ga and we have been wearing treebraids for about 10 years now so since u said they were new to u just wanted to give a little advise .. .1. when u start you should use a small piece so the knot is smaller in the front 2. as u braid u should be taking hair out w/ each loop/stroke so that the braid is covered and the style looks fuller

  • gurl you look like a young Janet Jackson....

  • I mean maybe take them out after a couple years when my hair has grown out. But my hair grows so slow I wouldn't even worry. I could follow the same regimen as people with dreadlocks and twist the new growth. Its just a thought. I hate wasting so much time doing my hair all the time.

  • Jai

I like your video. I have an idea of getting microsmall tree braids and never taking them out. I find that putting in and taking out has taken my hair out on the sides. I want to combine the idea of dreadlocks with micro micro small tree braids. Tell me what you think. The whole hygenie thing comes into play. I would really value your opinion because you remind me of myself.

  • are u a stylist?

  • can you do this by yourself? or do you really need someone to do it for you? I'm a DYI kind of girl.

  • U r funny but thanks 4 showing how 2 do it all the way 2 the end unlike other videos. I can't wait 2 try it out. It look so free 2 do whatever you want 2 do w/ it. Thanks

  • you are Samantha Mumba identical twin... so pretty

  • You say you crimp it at the in, how do you do that, or what did you mean?

  • I would like you to make a video of how to crimp the end of the hair instead of tying it. I didn't understand what you did. I am trying to tree braid my daughter's hair. By the way, your video is much easier than alot of others and you hair came out beautiful!

  • Your hair looked great! Wow this was a great video and very informative. Thanks for sharing.

  • great tutorial. now i understand the concept. thanks you!

  • @allvic4ever She meant it was new to her, as she'd just heard of it.

  • THIS ROCKS. YOU ARE THE BOMB GIRL

  • great video just remember to only pull out the fake hair that will be out, do not pull the real hair to stay out. I find it better that way..

  • great job! like the video...question: how much hair would i need in comparison to regular micros? more or less packs?

  • This is the best tutorial I have seen so far. You are right, the other tutorials don't give a good visual and I can learn easily just by watching someone do it right but if I can't see what's being done, I can't learn as easily lol Thanks for this

  • Excellent Video. Very kind of you to share this information.

Also to everyone else..I think she looks like Samantha Mumba. lol Very beautiful!

  • you do remind me of a younger Janet. Would like to see how the part looks when finished. Thanks

  • @VIDEOQEENSEEN Ditto!!!!!

  • Love the hair

  • omg, you look like janet jackson!!!!!!!!!!

    you're so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!!!

can you tell us how did you do the end of the cornrows (how do you do the knot?)

  • @dayane972 She Sure Does Lol

  • @Mj4Eternity58 haha!!!

  • @dayane972 damn i was going to say the same thing...lol

  • @dayane972 she look more like kim fields to me

  • personally, i dont do knots....you cant yank half your natural hair out trying to remove those things, I do a 'locking stitch' where you split the hair in one section, blend it into the next section, and you do this every round like 3 times....braid aint going no where after that...but if you have to knot...knot the fake hair not your hair....and have the take down done by some one else....they can see better that way. but I agree...no knotting. you'd be better off rubber baning than knotting.

  • I ABSOLUTELY love that you used a very contrasting color and bright lighting it made it so much easier to understand and your voice is very clear. Great job.

  • this was a great tutorial the two colors of hair is great! you can see what the person is doing..... i am going to sub so i can refer back to this. Did you do your own hair? if you said that i completely missed it.... and feel free to do like wise (SUB)!!!!!!

  • You are too cute !!!!... you look like penny (Janet Jackson) on good times. This is not a new technique It's been around for awhile. I didn't know the name of it at the time. In the 90's I use to love wearing bangs. I would put them in the tree braid style and you couldn't tell it was done. ( take the knot out with a seam ripper) very carefully

  • lol....i just thought that and was gonna write it but you took the words out of my mouth! She is so very cute and looks like Penny lol! I have never seen this braiding but I really like it!

  • What kinda hair are you supose to use?

What are you supose to do at the end?

  • Your very preety (no homo) you look like Janet Jackson a lil bit but better. Great video!

  • how many braids do i need to do going back when i do the tree braid?

  • I think I used like 30 or something...... They were pretty medium sized...... You can use more or less... Prolly more in my opinion

  • Thats very cool of you!

  • thank you guys for taking the time out to teach people how to do this, cause I need to do my lil girls hair for school in a way that will stay, cause I don't have time every morning to do her hair...

    thanks again and God Bless

  • 5 stars!

  • Can u do a vid on how u tied ur scarf ? Thanks =>

  • wat is the name of the hair?? and can u use kanekelon hair

  • Its called "Bulk" hair..... it came out really nice!

  • Thank you.......lol and ya bulk

  • Your mother is so sweet! I know you thank God for her everyday!

  • I love my mommy lol

  • Is ur hold head cornbraid tree braids? can u put in a ponytail?

  • Ya my entire head was done in these braids.....

I put it in ponytails, curls, clips lol pretty much everything

    Jai

  • love your hair

  • how many bags of hair did you use for this style?

  • about two bags.....i would normally use two bags to two and a half to be sure......

  • hi thanks for the video i have a question and that is how do you take it out. Also can the hair your normally use for braid be used for this.

  • To take it out is just like any other braids u would take out. If u knotted the end (which is the only method that Ive heard of how to end the braid) I wood cut the knot off that only contains the synthetic hair and unravel........ For ur other question lol I used normal braiding hair to do this style. I guess ur suppose to use the Micro braiding hair but I jus used the normal. Its kina weird but it still works....

    Jai

  • how long is you own hair how do you ends i heard you could burn the hair?

  • If ur just braiding the hair, not tree braiding, then u burn the ends. But for tree braiding the only thing that Ive heard of how to do the ends is to tie a small knot at the end when ur all done.........how effective that is i have no idea lol but try it

  • i like your video

  • Luvd the vid hon! :)

  • Wow! You are blessed to look like Janet!

  • lol u would think but its more like a curse. The lady behind the deli at winco thought I was her n was gettin a pen and paper until i told her i wasnt lol

but i do get free food sometimes lol so u have ur goods n ur bads

  • Janet Jackson is that Janet jackson no really seriously

  • lol i do not look like her!

  • I was thinking the exact same thing. You look a lot like Janet Jackson

  • omg girl i have been trying to figure out how to do this from so many youtube videos and i got to 3:08 in your video and knew how to do it it was like it dawned on me lol..great video and thank u

  • Lol well Im glad it helpd..I did the same thing and found one that kina explained it so I took it from there. I think ima try this hairstyle again. The method is actually easy but its hard doin it to urself.....

  • Hello love your vid. Love your energy..question what length is your hair in this video? I am getting my hair tree braided and don't know what length to get til I saw yours. Thanks

  • um idk what ur talkin about lol... in the hair itself, i would get a pretty long length. maybe 14" to 18". I used braiding hair itself (though thats not the right kind lol but w/e). My hair itself in this video I think was pretty short. Its grown out some now but at the time it was above my shoulders. Hopefully this helps sum. The 14 to 18 gives a variety of choices to play with. Shorter might be a lil trouble. U can make long hair short but not short hair long.

    Jai

  • explained very nicely

  • yes she looks like samanth mumba, i dont know if u said this but u dont wanna drop the person's hair JUST the synthetic hair shud be dropped. Just thot i drop dat cps i see alot of those black weaves being dropped.

  • Thanx lol I thought pplz knew that

But its good to mention it for the ones who don't

N what happened to samantha mumba?

    lol newayz thanx for commentin

    Jai

  • Comment removed

  • has anyone ever told you that you look like samantha mumba?!!

  • you're right she does look like samantha mumba!

  • how long does it take usually with singles?

  • very good video

  • THank u!

AND I DONT LOOK LIKE JANET JACKSON! :)

  • And...U look like Janet..I so agree wit everyone else on dat :)

  • Good Video! Hope you do more on tree braiding..there arent a lot on here.

  • is she janet jackson for real she is surely special and looks like janet allot allot oh good vid one thing hun. we need to see how to close off the end though,K

  • your video wa sso helpful for me! you really explained everything really really well...im gonna go do my tree braids now!

...and your really fun to watch too you have a great personality!

  • how many braids did you do for this?

  • O wow Ive done two or three different hairstyles since this lol

I did my entire head in braids. About 30 or so would be my guess. I didnt do singles, I did normal braiding.

    Jai

  • finally found a decent tree braiding video on here lol, anyway, good job, my issue is braiding period so ill practice cuz i wanna do this style, ill probably use indian human bulk hair. oh yeah u remind me a lil bit of Janet in this video :-) good vid!

  • Hey this is Jai

I would love to see how your hair comes out with the Indian Human bulk hair......

Maybe a video is in order?

  • Very good video!! I have some advice when you pull the extension hair out make sure the clients hair is not pulled out with the extension hair, because if you do this on natural hair the hair will not blend as well as most women wear this style as a protective style(and if you pull their hair out with extension hair it is no longer protecting the exposed hair). Also you can use synthetic hair or human hair. But again I say great video!!

  • Great Advice! I did this one time....Quick question.. How would you keep the hair from coming out? And how long would you keep it in for?

  • To keep the hair from coming out you have to be sure to braid down enough I suggest at least 4 times. Also pull less hair out and pull hair out more frequently. I hope this makes sense. The style should last at least 6 weeks.

  • Using Micro Braiding Hair!
