Anyone who knows thier Sigmas know that they come from the Galant family of cars. They evolved from the Galant, through the Sigma (and/or Scorpion), and became the Magna. I would have said this vid was of a Magna, untill I bothered to research it. The same as the Starion (Australia) was just a glorified, sigma/scorpion with a turbo. Only the body, and cabin were different. Although this Sigma doesn't have the classic "box on wheels" shape, it's still a near-indestructible tank with balls!
yeah they are a magna, just renamed the Sigma / Diamante for Export to the UK, USA etc and given a few extra's our Magna / verada range dont have (ie the different front bar CD stacker as a option chrome Grille and light surround etc) if the Vin Starts with 6MM there aussie built
ironic one of my mates has a DOHC in his TR, but if you want to get technical That is the Japerneise version based on the Diamante, The Aussie Version known as the Magna / Verada, The Verada was exported to a number of countries and rebadged the Diamante in the US, Sigma in the UK, Aswell as badged the V3000, They were exported to Panpua New Guinea, Brunei, Fiji, New Zealand, The export Model also had the LEADED motor option, if you dont believe me check with Mitsubishi motors Australia
@my90tp Yeah pretty much your right there, its just i hate people calling it a magna, when clearly it has quite alot of different features. Im guessing by your knowledge that your part of AMC or MCA?
Yeap sure am a member of the Mitsubishi Club Australia (MCA), on there same user name as here, That is the only model Car that has 1/2 dozen names, Also the first TM TN TP Series 85 - 91 in NZ (the V3000) was fitted with a
V6 3.0 where our TM TN TP Manga's only came with the astron 2, 2.6 litre 4 cylinder untill the V6 6G72 hit our Market in the TR around 91 - 92 with the KR Verada, But yeah I know a fair whack about the Magna / Verada range here (owned and restored sold several of them)
@my90tp Yeah i was gathering so, im from AMC with the same name. Yeah i have got up a good knowledge base by just being on AMC, but there is always a bit of confusion with the Sigma!
There a sweet as Car, I have the 95 KS Verada (top of the range magna formally known as the magna Elite) and by Far My verada Vs my mums 98 EL falcon 42,000km seperate them (mines at 223,000 mums at 181,000) on a track the Verada leaves the falcon behind (good old tuning and new free flow exhaust = 213bhp) inevitably when the magna was canned MMAL signed there own Death certificate 20 years of Magna and verada (O/s Names Sigma V3000 and Diamante)
dont know exactly what your saying, but you complaining about the music? I had another track from the begining but youtube removed it, so i just took a random music track from the audioswap
Love your car, man. I have one of my own, a black with silver lines and nice 18" alu rims 1991 3.0L V6. It's completely stock, except the rims. I am concidering to do a little more with it though, some new headlights and coloured windows would be nice.
It takes to have owned this car yourself to really know how special it is. You really fall in love with it. No wonder, just look at it. It's sexy!
mannn sorry about your loss! I'd kill the worthless waste of life that stole my diamante! i'm guessing the sigma and diamante are the same, they look almost alike!
fuck you poofter thats a fagna or as some people call it a magna! dont mistake an ass fucking mobile for something that is rw and has ballls unlike this exhaust pipe fucking peice of shit !
Dude I feel sorry for you! Sigma is one of the coolest cars I know since it has a low profile but still has an aggressive look.. =) Hope you will get it back someday! Cheers // SWEDEN
firstly get your facts right you fuckhead!! Its not even an aussie video, in australia they are called a 'Magna"! and incase you didnt know (and I can bet you didnt cos you are a racist faggot) that we drive on the left side of the road!! FUCKWIT!!!!
I love Ford Falcons because they are decent cars with nice interiors, and a good engine.
However, I believe Mitsubishis are grossly underrated as family cars.
It's a known fact that the TE/F Magnas had the best transmission by a country stretch over the EF/AU, VT and the Camry. However, people don't research properly. Pity, because the Magna was nice.
Please don't judge all Ford fans as retards.
At AFF, we respect everybody's taste in cars, even Holdens. It's a case of "whatever turns you on"
I drove a TW 5 speed 3.5L and it was really nothing compared to my AU auto.. Interior was awful, really turned me off the car, and it wasn't especially fast for a 3.5L.
And who are you? :)) No this IS a Sigma (as they are called in Europe). Leatherseats, 4wheel steering, sunroof, ECS, Traction Control. And it has compared to the magna, a V6 24v DOHC engine with 205bhp. The magna has a 12v SOHC engine with 177bhp.
WOW Dam, mine put's out an extra 8 BHP at 213 BHP From a SOHC V6 3.0 (for you others 157 kilowatt's) just by giving it a good tuning, right air filters, just wait till I chuck the super charger on it, a mate of mine has the same V6 sohc 12 valve and it's putting out around 430BHP with a Super charger cold air intake and that's it with a bit of tuning
Hi! Its a realy nice one. I have one but its red color and now I would like to rebuilt because its 15 years old but run well. Can you tell me your sigma wheel type???? Its "17 inch or "16 inch??? and what is the tires type with dimension?? Thanks your help ! Gustav from Hungary

95 octane is right now quite expensive around 12kr/L (SEK) = 1,25 EUR but last year in some places it was around 10kr/L, the prices goes up and down constantly

yeh mate, i'm a ford man too so I know how nice falcons are, but I drive a TE magna, so i know how nice they are.
I wasnt saying that all falcon drivers are bogans, just that most bogans drive falcons or commos...
aannese 3 years ago
Most bogans drive Commodores, if the recent reveal of the hoon stats tell anything.
I think they said that the majority of "hoons" were males on their probationary licenses, driving a Holden Commonwhore.
Look on Facebook.
Look at the crap spoken by the "Holden is better than Ford" group.
I bet a large number of those people wouldn't even know what a bloody Alloytec is.
It's easy to follow a crowd.

WTCHME 2 years ago
I was referring specifically to autos only.
I will also correct my post and note that when that particular review was done (1997), the TE had the best transmission at the time.
I am not sure whether the AU had different transmission to the EL...
But by the time the TW was around, Ford had truly overtaken on all fronts...
But for the day, the TE/F were decent cars. Mitsubishi did not invest into the Magna past a certain stage, which is part of the reason they suffered.
Media didn't help too
uraniumdeath 2 years ago
Yeah after the TE is was really just engine changes and facelifts. Shame they kept the same car going for over 10 years.
