Runi and and Ruki?! DAMN Your kids names are Rune and Rukio!!(or Lune and Lukio as in the english version) And for the others... Leo and Lea are the ORIGINAL japanese names. Since the 89 series had another director starting from episode 7 he might have changed Kittys/Leas name to Laiya/Raiya.

Isn't his name Kimba the white lion, becuae they call him Ronna...

@Thecolete Kimba is the adult white lion in this series (such as at 0:52). He changed his name to Leo as an adult. The white lion cub you see in this video (and throughout the series) is his son, Rune. This series is about him as an adult and his new family.

@WhiteLionness No, Kimba's real name is Leo, he was changed to Kimba for the US version of the show. (The first one) The reason his name is Leo in this one is because when they brought it over from Japan, they wanted to keep the Japanese names.

@Jophie12 lol I know, re-read what I just wrote, that's exactly what I said. If you watch a few of the episodes, Leo told some of the animals he changed his name from Kimba to Leo, that's what I meant.

I think it's ironic that this series was aired by CBN because they aired two other, English-dubbed, anime series: SUPERBOOK and THE FLYING HOUSE. So where is the irony? These two series were dubbed by the same people who dubbed the ORIGINAL KIMBA series in the 60s! If Billie Lou Watt and Ray Owens had only gotten a chance to work on this series as well in both writing and voice acting (especially the latter)... sigh.

hahaha, this IS Kimba the white lion. Leo is actually Kimba's original, japanese name. The US and many other countries just decided to rename him Kimba. But in this sequel, and the 1997 movie, they just changed his name back to his original Leo name.
